A Very Grizzly Christmas: A Protector's Claim Holiday Short

Rate this book
A holiday unlike any other.
A love stronger than magic.
A fight no one saw coming.Ginger thought Christmas with eight supernatural toddlers was chaos enough. Between spilled cocoa, runaway magic, and three fiercely devoted grizzly mates, the holidays were already loud, messy, and full of love.

As the holiday approaches, a long-buried betrayal resurfaces, and a twisted legend tied to seasonal cheer threatens everything Ginger has built.

With her infamous Grizzly Alphas at her side, Ginger will protect her family at any cost. Claws will be bared. Old wounds will be tested. And this Christmas, a monster will learn exactly what happens when you come for Ginger’s family.

A Very Grizzly Christmas is a festive (and spicy) return to the Protector’s Claim universe, packed with possessive alphas, found family, high-stakes magic, and a love that burns hotter than any winter spell.

This holiday… bites back.

3.75 ⭐️

It was really cute catching up with some of the gang I loved getting little glimpses of Malachi and Z. Ginger and her bears are still a fun dynamic, and the Christmas twist was unexpected in a good way. Overall, the story itself was enjoyable and had some genuinely sweet moments.

My main critique is the same one I tend to have with this trio. It sometimes feels like Ginger and her men always end up hooking up at the most inconvenient moments, which causes some really interesting details to get skipped over. I don’t mind spice at all, but since this is a shorter story, the frequent sex scenes started to feel a bit repetitive. At a certain point, I just wanted to move into a different kind of action.

I would’ve loved to see more development around Ginger’s family and the healing happening there, as well as more depth with the antagonist. It felt like we’d get little sprinkles of new information, then a sex scene to close things out and I kept thinking, “Wait, hold on… answer that one question real quick!”

Still, it was a fun read and a nice revisit to characters I enjoy.

Read It!....but only after you read the first 4 stories in the series, lol

I LOVED the book! But I loved the whole series, so maybe I'm biased. For this to be a Short Story, I feel like so much was covered! I like how she addressed the fact that many women feel like we have to take care of Everyone & Everything because thats what we know. I Love how her mates handled that for her. I Love how she addressed familial issues, including where she went with the generational curse angle, and I respect her so much for working it into this story. I cant speak for anyone else, but you can Never write to much about Alpha Malachi Rivers! whew!!! And I absolutely Adore the visuals of the kids!!! YES we want to hear more about the Vampire Mafia, about the rest of the Protectors & Elijah's pack, and please give Thai his other baby! A set of twins, a boy & girl who are Ginger clones would even Everything out at 10, 😆 🤣 😂

My Gawd 🤯

This was really a Grizzly Christmas 🎄 cause it took all the brothers to take down krumpus 🥴 and they ment what they said when they told Ginger she was not coming with them. Ginger is still a strong witch. She went down to Lucifer to free her grandmother from the leach that took a lot of courage. And for her mother to sign a contract with Krampus to take her granddaughter who is also a powerful witch is crazy work. I will not spoil this book for anyone I would just say make sure you read it and it does not have to be a Christmas read another one bites the dust.

Phenomenal Read!!!!

Loved coming back to MY 3 grizzlies and the entire family of shifters… I’ve missed them so much. Good to see my girl Ginger still being loved, honored, adored, and worshipped as she should…. Would love to see those that hasn’t been mated yet mate and stories of the children coming into their powers and their mates as well…. I got my eye out on you September 👀. Keep writing and I definitely keep reading!!!!!

Nice, short epilogue

This was a nice short tie over until the next Protectors Claim book. (I know at least four protectors are unmated so hopefully they each get a book) I like that the brothers got to deal with the threat instead of Ginger. And the additional short about Kai and Zahara was nice.

I absolutely adore the photos of the babies at the end. That MJ looks like a little terror! 😆 But I don’t know - Deuce and Zola? I see a powerful coupling in the future.

This cute, spicy, with a little action story was good. Ginger was just trying to better her relationship with her family when she got bad news about her daughter possible future. But her three grizzly mates (Rhai, Shai, and Thai) was not playing at all when it came to their children. They did want needed to done. I also enjoyed that spicy ending with Zahara and Malachi at the end!
