I like Daniel Priestly, however I wasn't impressed with this book. Ive read key person of influence and entrepreneur revolution one. Even those were iterative of each other.
This adds no more detail to the picture. Plenty of humble brags and "you can do it!" Platitides. No where near enough substance for a "playbook" ideas, sure but you'll need to put the work in.
Ironically, perhaps to no surprise. The book is practically a physical lead magnet. He talks about writing your own book. To pertain an authority in your space. Littered throughout are references to scoreapp and all that.
I understand why but a little disappointed to funnel fans into the "content fly wheel" .
If you've read Priestly before, you arent missing anything.
I'm enjoying this book but I'm not sure how workable the tips in the book are. Also would love to speak with someone diplomatically about some of the typos I spotted though I suspect from some of the other reviews other people have spotted them too.
Another question I'm wondering about is the 3 month campaign because if I could successfully pull off a 3 month campaign I'd want to rinse and repeat it . Then again im not much of an entrepreneur - I can barely pronounce the word.
I'll also have to change the edition I'm reading as I have the paperback version which I got at an event.
The book starts with a couple of definitions that are in my opinion so obvious that they are only valuable if you didn’t pay attention at all what is going on in the world the last couple of decades. The second part provides some tips that are valuable if you are a total beginner but it is quite shallow and lacks depth.
Read: if you are a total beginner Skip: if you want more specific knowledge
