Almost all the ones in the book I'm familiar with but for those who don't follow this subject it's a really good introduction to the subject.

The book starts with an documentation and then goes into ancient enigmas of the prehistoric world such as Gobleki Tepe (which is an amazing discovery which is really old and mysterious), the Nazca lines in Peru, the Phastos Disc, Indus Valley disappearance of people and whether or not Atlantis existed.

It discusses the Antikythera Mechanism which is pretty much basically a type of computer from a time when things like this just don't seem possible and the Green Children in the 12th century which is another topic I've read about and could possibly be interdimensional travel.

There's also the Dancing Plague which is really weird. Even the Oak Island mystery is in the book. There's more in the book and it's done well and is a good overview of the subject.

Well Worth Reading

This is a brief but well written book that discusses unsolved mysteries from ancient times into the 1970’s. The author identifies the mystery, discusses the facts behind it and then reviews possible explanations. The author discusses which explanations are viable explanations and which have little, if any merit.
He discusses the cypher mystery of Bedford County, Virginia and most people believe this was a hoax. It is a short read that is very interesting.

Thank you to the Captivating History team for allowing me to read and review this ARC.

This was a great introduction to many fascinating mysteries from both past and present that still baffle historians to this day. I was familiar with the majority of these mystery cases, and I found the information comparative to my knowledge and cursory research from podcasts, books, and documentaries.

This book spans millennia and collects multiple unsolved mysteries from throughout the ages. Some of them are well-known (the Princes in the Tower, etc.), while some are little known, like my favorite, the Dancing Plague of 1518, which I would have liked for the name alone. Entertaining.

I really liked that the book presents each mystery in chronological order. the book made me appreciate just how much deeper the historical timeline is in Europe and other continents compared to the younger America. Although, so much has happened on American soil, even if our history doesn’t go back as far

Good fast read

Many interesting topics and doesn't take long to finish.
Would recommend for both teens and adults. True crime fans may be familiar with some of the events.

Even though all the storys are well known, I still found new information in each story. Well worth the time to read the book.

Good Short Read

Fun read about mysteries that will never be solved! Good distraction from what is constantly on TV with paid “protesting”!
