After eight years apart because of a wrongful conviction, Kareem is finally free and determined to rebuild the life he lost. When a medical scare draws everyone home for Christmas, he invites Tanya, her daughter, and her adopted niece to his family’s horse ranch on their ancestral land in Kentucky. What should have been a quiet holiday deepens as snow falls, old emotions resurface, and the truths they’ve both avoided come rushing back.

Surrounded by horses, warm kitchens, and a family that never stopped believing in him, Kareem can’t help wondering if Tanya’s heart has held on too.

Cozy, heartfelt, and full of second chances, Overdue Conversations is a holiday romance about reclaiming love, mending broken bonds, and finding home when you least expect it.

This was a sweet book. I understand Kareem’s decision in breaking up with Tanya while he was in prison. He didn’t want her to stop her life for him but he was also scared. He could’ve wrote her back and communicated that but I do understand it.
