Sure, they’re wealthy, good-looking, and run one of the most successful security system suppliers in the country, but not a single one of them is even attempting to settle down.
Work is their number one priority. Not their health. Not their personal lives. And certainly not their family.
A fact I’m slapped in the face with on Thanksgiving Day when I’m staring down an empty table.
Unfortunately, I have no one to blame but myself. That’s why I’m going to do whatever it takes to fix them.
Will I be overstepping? Probably.
Am I inching toward being overbearing? Maybe.
But I’ll be damned if these boys end up alone and miserable. They might be workaholics, but they’re good men. Once they finally fall, they’re going to fall hard.
And I know which son is going down first.
Undeterred is the 12,000-word prequel to the Bradshaw Brothers series.
What a fun introduction to this series💖 I loved getting a glimpse of all the different characters, and now I'm even more excited to dive into the rest of the books!
I can't wait to learn more about everyone, watch these workaholic men find love, and hopefully discover a little work life balance along the way🤭 And I already have to know... who is Mariah going to end up with? 👀
The prequel to the series is fine but not that great. I have loved each book and can't wait for the last one coming out soon. Hoped this one would be just Diedre and her hubby's story. Glad I read it anyway.
This is the prequel to the Bradshaw brothers series, and Deidre Bradshaw is bound and determined to "assist" (otherwise known as meddling) her sons in jumpstarting their love lives.
I absolutely cannot wait for this series! Gonna be SO good!
💕 Operation Find My Sons Some Love! 😂❤️ Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Heat Level: Tear Drops: 💧 📚EBOOK📚
Okay, I absolutely LOVE the Bradshaw Brothers series, and apparently, I still had a little piece of the story waiting for me! 😂❤️
I recently received an ARC and ALC for the fifth book, so naturally, I wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything before diving in. Well… surprise! Not only did I realize I still needed to read the first book (I'll be fixing that shortly!), but I also discovered this little prequel I didn't even know existed! Obviously, I couldn't ignore it. 😂 Since it's only available as an ebook, I purchased it on my Kindle and started reading yesterday. I ended up reading late into the night because I couldn't put it down! And honestly? What a cute little story!
Undeterred introduces us to the Bradshaw brothers through the eyes of their mother, who has come to a rather disturbing realization… She thinks she completely ruined her sons! 😂 Sure, they're wealthy, handsome, successful and running an impressive security company, but there's one little problem. Not a single one of them seems interested in settling down! When Thanksgiving arrives and she's staring at an empty dinner table, she decides enough is enough. Her boys need to find love, and she's determined to make it happen, whether they like it or not! And let me tell you, these poor boys don't stand a chance! 😂❤️
What I really enjoyed about this prequel is that it's not just a funny story about a meddling mother. It actually gives us a little insight into what sets certain things in motion throughout the series. Since I've already read several of the books, I appreciated discovering that extra background. The writing flows beautifully, it's entertaining, and at approximately 12,000 words, it's an easy one-sitting read. There's absolutely no spice, but it doesn't need any! And surprisingly, I even shed a tear or two. There's something about a mother's determination to see her children happy that really touched me. ❤️
One thing I strongly recommend is reading this series in order! Each book focuses on a different romance, but there's an ongoing storyline developing in the background, and certain things make much more sense when you've read everything. The romantic suspense in this series is fantastic, and the other books I've read have all been five-star reads for me! Overall, Undeterred was a sweet, funny and slightly emotional little prequel that made me smile and reminded me why I love this series so much. Four solid stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Now, excuse me while I catch up on book one before jumping into my next ARC and ALC! 😂📚❤️
Well… this turned into a full-blown rabbit hole in the best way. I originally received an ARC for Unfinished (Book 2), only to realize it was part of a series—so naturally I went back to start with Book 1. While adding my review on Goodreads, I discovered there was actually a prequel (Book 0.5) … and that’s where things really took off.
By the end of this prequel, I realized Mariah (FMC from Book 1) has her own series (Cowboy Seeking Nanny), and Heidi from this story also has a full series (Loss Recovery), which also has a prequel (Collateral Damage). So yes… my TBR just grew by about a mile.
No regrets though—because this prequel was absolutely worth it. It pulled me right into this world, gave great background, and completely hooked me on these characters and interconnected stories. I loved this introduction and can’t wait to dive into all of these series… right after I finally get back to the ARC that started it all.
Did reading this prequel send me down a rabbit hole that made my TBR grow because now I need EVERYONE’S stories who was mentioned? Yes, yes it did, and I have zero regrets!
🖤Small Town 🤎Worried Mama/Well-Meaning Meddling Family 🖤A Plan to “Fix” Things
Deidre Bradshaw thinks that she’s ruined her sons because none of them showed up to Thanksgiving dinner. Every single one of her sons makes work their priority and she blames herself. But, no matter, because she’s got a plan to get them to shape up, and a little overstepping never hurts…
This set the stage perfectly for the Bradshaw Brothers series – it gives you a sneak peek into each man’s personality and habits, and how their momma isn’t leaving them to their own devices anymore (not that they’re aware, and we’re all going to be better for it!).
This prequel did exactly what it was supposed to do—it completely hooked me on this family and left me wanting every single brother’s story. It’s a quick read, but it does a fantastic job introducing the Bradshaw family and setting up everything to come.
I especially loved Deidre. Her determination to help her sons, even if it meant meddling a little, made for some fun moments while still showing just how much she loves her family. By the time I finished, my TBR had grown… and honestly, I have zero regrets.
Thank you to the author for the ARC opportunity. I’m so grateful I had the chance to read and review this story!
Short and sweet - this prequel gives you insight into why Dierdre Bradshaw thinks her sons need a helping hand - or maybe a kick in the pants - to finally figure out that love and family is at LEAST as important as business.
Great introduction - I had finished book 1, Unbroken, and then discovered the prequel, which is primarily Dierdre's POV on what motivates her to "help" her sons get their lives in order, and maybe find out that work isn't what keeps you warm at the end of the day.
Should I have read this prior to Unkbroken? YES! Was I missing this world while waiting for the amazing author to write book 3? ALSO YES!
I am so glad that I finally understand how they all seemed to forget about Thanksgiving though! Momma Deidre is a force to be reckoned with, but gunner.. that little trouble maker makes it so much worse with his shenanigans 🤣🤣🤣
I love Janice's writing style. She provides intriguing plots, interesting settings, and engaging characters. This was a great intro and I'm looking forward to reading more about the Bradshaw brothers.
I started reading book 1 of the series before I knew there was a prequel. So I immediately stopped reading it and bought this book. I'm glad I did because it gives me some context on each brother. Now I can continue with book 1 which is interesting so far.. 😍
Great read about a mother who decides to visit all of her sons who’ve missed thanksgiving lunch. Love her take no prisoners attitude and looking forward to seeing more of her in the series.
This is a new to me author and she packed quite a punch in this book. It has me wanting the whole series now to read. I will definitely start reading her other books.
A good start to introduce the new series full of characters. I read this after I finished reading the first book so for me it got me more attached and invested in this series.
Interesting introduction to the Bradshaw brothers and I'm looking forward to reading more. I also love the writing style and characters so much that I'm going to read her other books.
I didn't know this existed before I read the 1st book in the series, but I'm so happy I found it. This is the perfect set up to the Bradshaw Brothers and Deidre I just adore you. I can't wait for her to find spouses for all her sons and continue being everyone's favorite mom!
