Practical Pistoleering

Rate this book
Barry Storm, the pen name of John Climenson, was an explorer/adventurer and part-time prospector. He wrote numerous articles for various magazines such as Outdoor Life, American Rifleman, Outdoorsman, Hunting Annual and the famous Desert Magazine in the 1940's.

Known mostly for his books on lost treasures and Treasure Hunting in the American Southwest; particularly "Thunder Gods Gold", which was made into the 1949 movie 'Lust for Gold,' starring Glenn Ford. This rare, but short book (1943) on handgun basics, tips and techniques was probably an afterthought to his main literary output.

He covers a variety of topics (mostly for beginners) on gun selection, shooting techniques, speed and defensive shooting, handgun hunting and even his take on the 'quick draw'.

A unique manual on mid-20th century handgun usage, and sporting methods. Certain to be of great interest to readers of the classic gun writers of that era.
