Jack was my best friend, my first crush, and my first love. Then he became my secret boyfriend, and we hid our relationship from everyone, even from our closest friends, especially from my abusive father.
Until he found out and sent Jack away with threats of prison time.
He’d been gone for three no texts, no calls. I thought he had died.
But one night he came back as a member of the Devil’s Outlaws Motorcycle Club, and he sent me away.
So, I started doing everything I could to get his attention and make him come back for me.
It worked. Unfortunately, I got myself trafficked in doing so.
Now, Jack and I have to escape human traffickers and the brothel they’ve brought us to.
The Devil's Outlaws is an interconnected character series with The Devil Always Wins being the sixth book. It is recommended to read the series in order.
This book is not recommended for readers under the age of 18. Content Warnings are in the beginning of the book, please proceed with caution.
Bethany Dawn is a wife and mother to two beautiful girls, one furry and the other human. She loves food, finding beautiful places wherever she goes, and reading. She's always had a vivid imagination and loved to create things, so she finally took the plunge to start writing. She hopes you stick around for the journey.
This book left a bit more to be desired. I'm an avid fan of the series and I enjoyed it but I felt like it was a cozy human trafficking read with an HEA. I think the flashback portions were good though there was one scene that felt out of place where we see the aftermath of prom and then jump back to when they're getting ready. It felt like it was a little out of order during those chapters. Also I didn't feel much during the human trafficking scenes. Like I never got scared for the characters so I thought this could have been fleshed out a bit more. I'm definitely going to reread this whole series towards the end of the year to time the Christmas novella out. Also Reese and Huntley are my faves!
Omg I can’t believe we are coming to the end … ahh I don’t want to let this series go!
This was such a heartfelt book, Jack is so sweet he risked his life for Sam. After everything that happened he didn’t care, he still loved her to get himself trafficked just to save her…
I really felt for both characters in this book that I don’t want it to end. But I do love a happy ever after ( or was it?)
Realizing that this series is coming to an end soon made me want to start rereading this series all over again. Jack is so sweet, and I loved how he would do anything for his girl. This was the perfect book to start with since I missed the Devil Outlaw series so much. I loved this book and I thought it was entertaining and heartfelt for sure.
