She has her rules. He’s the reason she might rewrite them.

Sasha Reed was never exactly lucky.
More like go-lucky with a hint of chaos.
But she always had her music… until her boyfriend betrayed her, sold her out, and left her heart in pieces.

With her dreams pawned off to the highest bidder, Sasha does what any self-respecting woman with a shattered heart would downs a shot of tequila, packs her pride, and heads for Los Angeles without a plan.

She’s determined to rebuild what was her career, her confidence, and her purpose. Love, however, is officially off the setlist.
And rule number one? No. Musicians. Period.

At first, it seems like Lady Luck has finally changed her new city, new job, sunshine, sanity. Until an unforgettable New Year’s Eve fling with a masked stranger who kissed like sin and vanished at midnight.

Perfect, right?

Until she meets the band she’s managing for that shiny new job.
Because standing center stage cloaked in denim, dimples, and pure temptation is Raif King. Her mystery man. Her client.

And he remembers her.
Oh, he definitely remembers.
The way he looks at her, it’s clear he’s not wondering if he’ll have her again, only where to start.
Dinner… or dessert.

Their chemistry is electric. Undeniable.
He’s relentless. She’s guarded.
Her rules keep him at arm’s length.
He’s determined to break every single one.

But falling for Raif will cost more than her heart.
Because love doesn’t just come with sparks and flame—it comes with secrets.
And some secrets are so heavy, they can bury the song before it has a chance to play.

Guys, I think this is the first rockstar romance I've ever read that wasn't on Wattpad. I am so obsessed with this genre now. The last rockstar I've read was probably 8 years ago, so I got a really nostalgic feeling while I was reading this book. So i'm grateful that I had the chance to ARC-read it!

I really liked the main-characters and their chemistry.

Sasha just found out her boyfriend has been cheating on her and sold her out. So she flies from New York to LA, to move in with her two best friends. At the airport in LA she has eye contact with the same guy, multiple times. She doesn't recognize him, but he does act like he knows her.

Raif has had the worst writers block for a couple months. He is honestly obsessed with Sasha the moment he first saw her, while she was just crying her eyes out and hating her life. After that happend, he could write again. Because he found his muse.

She now has one very important rule: don't date any musicians.
At new years eve she has a very steamy kiss with a masked stranger that she will never ever see again, she thinks. But it turns out that he is actually her new client and the same guy from the airport. She remebers him, but Raife definitly remembers it too. And he is not willing to let his muse go.

Raif is determent to date Sasha and is not giving up, untill she gives him a chance. Because he is convinced that they're meant to be together.

She tries to keep her distance from him, but he wants her. He needs her like she is his oxygen. He is determent to break through her walls and her most important rule. Unfortunatly Sarah doesn't realize that this love will cost more than just or her heart. And it is too late when the secrets come out.

My favorite quotes:
'For the first time in forever... I love me.'
'She's not just part of my life. She's the beat beneath it. The warmth in the silence. My calm. My songbird. And without her, I'm just noise.'

My rating:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Okay, whatever M. Rhiannon put in this book, shot of tequila or an addictive narrative? But whatever it was it had me reading this all in one fast swoop of an evening!

Rockstar x songwriter but so much more. Its all about Sasha's braveness of coming out of her shell, allowing herself to be seen and loved. Its about Raif and his willingness to put his pride down and know it's all for her. Its about love but also how to love when trust does get broken.

The found family aspects in this book made me laugh out loud and kick my feet at the fun banter!

Its a 4.5 star rating cause I cared more about Blair and Presley's arc than I did about Sasha's and Raif's 🤣🤣

First of all, I want to say that maybe this story wasn’t for me and might be better suited for readers looking for a relaxed, brain-off read or for those who don’t mind the issues I had with it. Since this review is already long, I’ll summarize the points I did and didn’t enjoy:

What I enjoyed:
-the friendship between Sasha and her girls. I loved their interactions and how supportive they were toward each other, and toward Sasha.

What I didn’t enjoy:
-the way the story is narrated, with heavy use of slang and a lack of consistency in some scenes;
-the chemistry and interactions between the main couple;
-the lack of “showing” their jobs, everything is mostly told rather than shown.
-Raif (the MMC), he disappointed me. As a musician, I was expecting someone with a romantic or intense persona, but his dialogue often left me questioning his character. And let’s not forget, he’s 34, which makes his behavior feel even more immature at times. an example: Five beers down, and we’ve moved on to the scotch like we’re old poets or mathematicians trying to solve the world’s most impossible equation.

The main issue for me is how fast the story moves without proper buildup or attention to detail, both in terms of the setting and the professional lives of the two protagonists. At first, I actually enjoyed the narrative: despite its chaotic nature, I liked the vibe, especially the FMC’s internal rambling. However, the moment the two protagonists start interacting, my interest completely dropped.

Their first meeting feels rushed and overly centered on physical attraction—not because physical attraction itself is the problem, but because there’s no emotional or narrative groundwork to support it. Their banter felt… dry. I couldn’t find that initial spark that usually fuels chemistry between couples, because the way everything is narrated feels more confusing than engaging.

I don’t mind slang or modern language, but when the story is constantly presented that way, I found myself feeling lost rather than immersed. This was especially jarring considering that both characters are grown adults (something I only discovered after checking the author’s page, because I was convinced I was reading about people around 23–26, not 29 and 34.

Their interactions often made me cringe, particularly the MMC. Since he’s a musician, I was expecting someone who could work with words or express himself in a more nuanced way. Instead, he came across as downright delusional. Some example, just for curiosity:
"I’ve been replaying that night in my head, over and over. Like a movie I can’t get enough of. And seeing you here, now? Feels like the universe hit the ‘rewind’ button for us. Trust me, gorgeous, I’m not about to miss my second chance. This…” he motions his hand between the two of us “Whatever this is between us? It’s electric, and I know you’re feeling it too.”

“I’m craving another night with you,” he whispers, his voice low and intense. “Seriously?” I think to myself, trying not to giggle “Craving?” Normal people don’t talk like this, at least not to me. Craving implies food. He wants to eat me? Taste me? What the actual hell?

Another major issue for me was the lack of narrative continuity and missing details. Many scenes feel cut or incomplete: we read that a character is in one place, and in the next paragraph they’re suddenly next to someone else, with no transition or context. Another example is during a photoshoot: The MMC is described as wet, but when he approaches the FMC, this detail completely disappears during the narration, only to randomly reappear later when he interacts with another character. Moments like this feel scattered and unfinished, as if the story needed another round of revision and editing. Plot details that should carry weight often feel misplaced or underdeveloped. Take Blaire’s birthday, for instance: it’s acknowledged through a sms but never weaved into the FMC's POV or the overall narrative. Similarly, when Raif, the MMC, sends flower to Sasha, FMC, we’re left in the dark about their fate. These moments accumulate, and the frustration builds as seemingly significant elements are brushed aside without resolution. A few extra lines could have easily addressed these gaps, offering clarity where it’s sorely needed.

There’s also a strong tell-don’t-show problem, especially when it comes to Raif’s fame. As a renowned musician and the frontman of a famous band, his celebrity status is conveyed almost entirely through dialogue rather than through impactful actions or meaningful consequences. Opportunities to illustrate his fame are missed in key moments, such as interactions at the airport with his band or during professional photoshoots, which are either downplayed, set aside, or deployed only when it suits the narrative. Given his position as a public figure in the music world, his life feels unusually subdued and devoid of realistic challenges. There’s a noticeable absence of reactions during key interactions, such as when he engages with the FMC at work events: no gossip, tension, or evident PR dynamics. In an industry notorious for the lack of privacy, this portrayal feels implausibly quiet. While the narrative repeatedly reminds the reader of Raif’s fame, it fails to manifest authentically through his experiences or environment, leaving him treated more as an ordinary individual than a high-profile celebrity. On top of that, we barely see him actually being a musician. In almost half the book, I think we see him in his professional environment once or twice. There’s no real sense of promotion, rehearsals, interviews, talk shows, or the constant movement that comes with that kind of career. At some point, I genuinely forgot he was supposed to be famous.

As for the two protagonists, starting with Sasha (the FMC), I genuinely forgot what her role in the story was supposed to be. She’s meant to be a lyricist who writes for other artists, but we’re repeatedly told this without ever really seeing her do her job. Her professional identity is stated, not shown, and as the story progresses, it slowly fades into the background. At the beginning, I actually liked her way of thinking and her constant internal rambling. However, the more the story developed, and the more her interactions with Raif increased, the more my interest in her character faded. What I struggled with the most was the way she constantly thinks about herself and her body. Her repeated belief that she’s “not enough” or not worthy of a partner like Raif, especially when compared to people in the industry, made me uncomfortable.
I can understand part of this insecurity, considering she was cheated on by her long-term boyfriend. That aspect makes sense. What I don’t understand is the second layer of insecurity: the idea that she’s inherently inferior because she doesn’t look like the models or celebrities around her. Everyone has a different body, and the constant narrative of feeling inadequate for not looking like a “goddess” feels outdated—something that might fit a teenager or someone actively struggling with deeper self-image issues, not a 29-year-old woman with a career. What really made my frustration peak was her constant internal contradiction: “I won’t fall at Raif’s feet”, followed just a few lines later by “OMG, he’s so hot, so beautiful…”. This back-and-forth happens repeatedly and ends up undermining her characterization, making her feel inconsistent rather than conflicted.

Raif. Honestly, I don’t have much more to say about him, since I’ve already discussed him earlier in this review. I’m sad because I had high expectations for him, but he really disappointed me. One thing I’ll never forget is when he asks one of his band members for advice on how to win Sasha over, and the suggestion is… to write her a song. I mean, shouldn’t that be the first thing you do anyway? Also, aren’t you super rich? You could buy her something extravagant or take her somewhere special. It feels like he’s never been dated someone or had a crush before...

There’s also a very casual normalization of alcohol consumption. Maybe it’s a “LA thing” or just something people enjoy, but it still bothered me how often the protagonist and her friends were drinking alcohol throughout the story...

The mystery subplot had potential, but it’s executed very poorly. The big “reveal” is painfully obvious, and the existing connections between characters make it unrealistic that the MMC wouldn’t figure things out... It would’ve worked much better if there had been no prior links at all.

Overall, this story feels sketched rather than fully written and really needs a revision. The ideas are there, but they’re not properly developed. I really wanted to enjoy this in brain-off mode, but too many inconsistencies kept pulling me out of the story. Sadly, I had to stop.

I’m so grateful to the author and Love Notes PR for giving me this ARC! Tequila Songbird is a fun and engaging rockstar romance. Sasha and Raif’s story is packed with charm, chemistry, and that irresistible “rules were made to be broken” energy. The Los Angeles setting adds a glossy backdrop, and the music-forward storyline gives the romance a lively emotional pulse.
It was a cute story, but I didn’t like how rushed it felt. It leaned heavily into insta-love/insta-lust, and I would have liked more depth in every interaction.
I also didn’t enjoy any of her POVs. I tried to empathize with the three girls in the book, but they made it very difficult. The boys in the band and his brother, however, were fun, morally gray, and enchanting. They’re the kind of men who intrigue you and make you want to know more. I felt like they perfectly embodied their roles and the tropes they represented.
Overall, this is an enjoyable, trope-filled romance that’s perfect for readers in the mood for something light, steamy, and heartfelt. A solid three-star read that’s fun from start to finish and ideal for fans of rockstar romances and rom-com vibes.

Brief Summary

This book is the lovestory between an aspiring songwriter and a full rockstar. He falls first and hard combined with forced proximity makes this love story unexpectedly deep and powerful.

What Worked for Me

I loved their story from beginning to end. They had amazing chemistry and even if it was a bit insta lovey it build up the trust and connection past the initial high mark.

What Didn’t Work for Me (Optional)

What would have made this book a full 5⭐️ would have been more details about Raif. I feel like I don’t know him as an individual but more in report to Sasha.

Overall Thoughts

I did not expected this book to hit me this hard. I was expecting a feel good romance which it was but it was also really meaningful and powerful and i loved everything about it. I cannot wait to read the next one!

Who I’d Recommend This To

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a feel good romance with musical influences but also if you want an empowering story and a love that feels very real and tangible in a world that a lot of people can only imagine how it is being part of.

Favorite quotes:

“I want you.” Three words. That’s all it takes to shatter my resolve.

“Let’s clear one thing up right now. The only woman I look at in any way… is you. The only one who sparks my interest is you. And the only girl who can get me rock hard is you.”

“I know you’ve got rules. I know they’re in place to protect you. But I’m not trying to break them. I just want to be the exception. Please, Sash, let me be the one who doesn’t let you down.”

“How the hell do you rebuild trust,” I whisper, “when your silence was the wrecking ball?” Presley doesn’t hesitate. “You stop being silent.”

You’re the voice that saves me when I can’t begin, My songbird, my reason, my everything…

And just like that. I’m seen. I’m heard. I’m home.

This book... wow. Surpassed my expectations honestly. Read the entire thing in less than a day, I just couldn't put it down!

Sasha is starting life over after finding her boyfriend of 4yrs cheating on her and basically stealing credit for all the songs she's written. At the start of the book she comes across, well... a tiny bit unhinged. Which I loved 😂 Because yeah girl, f**k that guy!!! Who cares if you're a crying mess at the airport when you're leaving to crash with your besties in LA? ✌🏻

Raif is the singer/songwriter for a famous band, and first sees Sasha at the airport, full mess mode. They have a couple of chance run ins before they both realize who the other is, and by then Raif is already DOWN BAD for her, willing to do pretty much anything for a chance to show her how amazing he thinks she is. She's built her walls up trying to protect herself but finds herself unable to resist the way she feels around him--like he truly *sees* her.

"My throat tightens, dries as I try to swallow. He’s looking at me like I’m whole, a perfect whole being. Like the broken, bruised parts of me don’t matter. Like I’m not old lost baggage, stranded but I’m the destination."

I saw another review stating that Raif said a lot of cheesy/cringey things and they expected more from a songwriter, but honestly I have never highlighted so many things in an ebook before 😅 I mean, he was pretty insistent from the beginning that there was something different about her and that she was it, so his intensity made sense to me. He was so supportive and proud of her too!

"Because she’s not just a muse or a voice in a song or the hottest kiss I’ve ever had. She’s it. The whole damn reason I give a shit at all. And if the universe lets me back in, I’ll make sure she never doubts her worth again."

Thank you to Love Notes PR, the publisher, and the author for allowing me to read and review!

Tequila Songbird is a rockstar romance about learning how to open yourself up again after heartbreak about discovering who you really are once you step off the stage and the spotlight fades. It’s about breaking the rules you created to protect yourself, and daring to admit what you truly want.

Sasha and Raif share an instant physical attraction even before they officially meet—l, and when they finally do, it only intensifies. Between playful banter, sharp wit, and snarky comebacks, the connection only intensifies.

The female friend group in this book is amazing. They’re ride-or-die in the truest sense, ready to do anything for one another. They’re the voice of reason when you’ve lost yours, the shoulder to cry on when everything falls apart, and the ones who’ll happily tumble down rabbit holes with you when you need escape.

Tequila Songbird is a story of desire, healing, and the kind of love that finds you when you finally stop hiding from it.

Tequila Songbird was everything I hoped for and more! The story and the characters felt so real. It was fun and romantic. The chemistry between Sasha and Raif was out of this world and the tension kept building throughout the story. Sasha’s friends Blair and Margot will do anything for her and they added depth and humor to the story.

And Raif. There’s much more to him than the public sees. No matter how much they grief they give Raif, his brother and band mates have his back.

It is hard to believe that this is a debut book! It is very well-written, has characters who feel real and it had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
Love the music element, the lyrics and the songs.

I feel very honored to have had the opportunity to read an arc copy of this book.

This was an ARC read through Love Notes PR!

A cute, sweet and full of banter story! The friendships and love relationships were just adorable! The chemistry between Raif and Sasha was sweet with some moments of ‘what the heck’. The friendship between Sasha and her friends was absolutely beautiful! Same goes for Raif and his bandmates! The friendship dynamics were honestly my favorite part! The relationship between Sasha and Raif could have used more spark but honestly it was still a pretty good book!

The chemistry between Sasha and Raif is palpable, and there’s a slow burn feel to them that is enjoyable. She’s been burnt before so is reluctant to fall for him, but he’s relentless in pursuing her. I really want to hear Raifs song for Sasha for real, the lyrics were beautiful.

Did I enjoy this, yes. Did I want more from the characters, also yes. Overall a solid, well crafted story with lots of interesting characters and a good plot.

Obsessed isn't a strong enough word. These characters are so well written and easy to fall in love with! I love the dynamic between each friend group. The girls remind me of my own friends and how we are with each other. The boys had me cackling at times. I couldn't put the book down. Every time I had to stop i was so disappointed. It was sweet, spicy and a little sassy. Raif had me from the start. Sasha is definitely someone I'd be friends with. Over all I loved this story and I can't wait to see what coming next!!!

Tequila Songbird is A Hot Rockstar Romantic Comedy with Masks, Second Chances, and Rules Begging to be Broken by M. Rhiannon. I am so impressed with M. Rhiannon. This is her debut novel and I can’t get passed how stunning it is. I loved how real, alive, and vivid the characters feel. And for not only a debut novel and the start to a new series, it was just an amazing novel and I found that M. Rhiannon did such an outstanding job on the found family trope.

I love music and I think it’s because of this that I have been obsessed with Rockstar Romance’s. I honestly get a lot of nostalgia from my days of playing my clarinet and bass clarinet as well as singing while I am reading any rockstar romance that I have the opportunity to get my hands on.

I love the chemistry that Sasha and Raif have between them. You can feel from the moment that they meet.

Sasha has just been handed the worst new she could have gotten. If it’s not bad enough that he’s been cheating on her, Sasha learns that he also went behind her back and sold her out. So, she packs up her shattered heart and the remains of her life and gets on a plane and flies from New York to LA and moves in with her two best friends. When she arrives at the airport, she finds herself meeting the eye of the same guy several times. Sasha knows that she doesn’t recognize him, but he looks at her like he knows and recognizes her.

Raif has been suffering from writer’s block for the last several months. He’s been obsessed with Sasha since the first moment he saw her, that moment he saw her while she was crying, hating her life. After that moment, suddenly he could write again, and Raif realized that he’d found his muse.

After everything that Sasha had gone through with her ex, Sasha had created a very strict rule for her life: 1) Don’t date musicians. While at a New Years Eve event Sasha shares one very steamy kiss with a masked stranger, one she believes that she’s never going to see again, or at least she thinks. But as it turns out, this stranger is actually her new client and stranger still, he’s the same guy Sasha saw at the airport. And Sasha remembers him, and Raif definitely remembers Sasha. And he’s decided that there’s no way he’s willing to let his muse go.

On top of being Raif’s muse, Raif is determined to date Sasha and there’s no way that he’s willing to give up, at least not until she gives him a chance to prove himself. Raif is convinced that they’re meant to be.

Sasha attempts to keep her distance from Raif, but he wants her. Raif feels as though he needs Sasha like oxygen. He’s bound and determined to break through the walls that she’s built up around her and he’s determined to get past her most important rule. What Sasha doesn’t realize is that this is the kind of love that will cost her more than just her heart. And when the secrets finally come out, Sasha’s going to realize that it’s far to late for her heart and she can’t go back.

I found that I really enjoyed M. Rhiannon’s writing style, the depth of character we get, the amazing main characters we get, the stunning secondary characters we get. The storyline was just out of this world and the plot and subplot was sublime. I am so excited and looking forward to the next book in the series.

I just adored the friendship between Sash, Blair and Margot their friendship is the perfect example of a main character finding her found family with secondary characters, and their bond is completely and totally unbreakable. And it’s that bond that makes this book linger after you’ve read the last word and the world so much richer. This book to me is a burning reminder that it’s not just about the fame or passion; it’s really about who you become when the spotlight leaves you and it’s a reminder that what really matters is who’s there for you no matter what.

I highly recommend Tequila Songbird especially if you happen to be a fan of Kat Singleton’s Black Tie Billionaires Series.

Some of my favorite quotes are:

'For the first time in forever... I love me.'
'She's not just part of my life. She's the beat beneath it. The warmth in the silence. My calm. My songbird. And without her, I'm just noise.'
“She’s chaos in denim and eyeliner. And I’d let her ruin me a thousand times over.”

"My throat tightens, dries as I try to swallow. He’s looking at me like I’m whole, a perfect whole being. Like the broken, bruised parts of me don’t matter. Like I’m not old lost baggage, stranded but I’m the destination."

"Because she’s not just a muse or a voice in a song or the hottest kiss I’ve ever had. She’s it. The whole damn reason I give a shit at all. And if the universe lets me back in, I’ll make sure she never doubts her worth again."

Did I just read the most fun story!?

This book is my cure for reading slump! The banter is so much fun to read; boy band group & girly trio, what could be more fun than that..hehe..

If you're into a rockstar romance with a man that is famous, rich, broody, 'every girl's dream' & 'head over heels for you' ....this book is absolutely for you, LOVE!

Sasha is a guarded woman due to her past relationship. She is feisty, uninterested in musicians & rockstars....Liam that jerk never deserved such a goddess of a woman! 😭 He broke her so bad, ughh!
Her first rule being: not to date a musician. But guess what universe has a different plan! She's had many interactions with this broody famous rockstar Raif which she absolutely tries to avoid... Fate brings them together though!! 🔥

Raif King, the very popular rockstar from 'Son of Nyx' band on which women are head over heels for! But he's interested in the only girl that despises him & is totally uninterested in him 😂 Sasha is the siren to him, she brings out the inspiration from him which has been dormant for months!

They both have a unique connection to each other pulling each other like magnets. They both inspire each other to write & create the things that are kept dormant within them! This is so divine ✨

I love the term Voodoo kiss & Voodoo Pu**y 🤣🤣❤️
You did not just do that with the 'plectrum' The hell 😭😭😂
One thing’s for sure. I’m never looking at a plectrum the same way again.
→Gurl, me too 🌚😭

Oh my I hate Liam & Harper so bad...why did they have to ruin it for them, they're so selfish. 😭 How did harper even know that shit!

Waiting for book 2 so badly, need more of Presley & Blair's 'Highball Honeybee' !! I know it's gonna be a hit! ✨

My fav lines:
“I can’t seem to keep it together around you. It’s like you’ve set my whole body on fire.”

I’m lost. This woman, this songbird has me tangled up in her chords and I’ll never be the same.

“Do you always kiss with your eyes open?”
"No, Just need to make sure you’re real. Until now, you’ve just felt like a dream.”

" Proud of you, Songbird. The world’s finally seeing what I always did."

" And now that the set’s over, I plan to take you home… and love every inch of you until you forget every reason you ever walked away.”

Review of and ARC I received from the author!

So proud of my bookish friend here who released her first book! I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and read this wonderful debut a little early. And let me tell you, it was worth it! This story made me feel like I was part of a great group of friends and let me crave margaritha's all the time. The rockstar romcom tells the lovestory of songwriter Sacha, coming from a nasty breakup and fleeing to her friends in LA, and Raif, charismatic superstar from the rockband Son of Nyx. They both feel an instant undeniable chemistry, but Sacha is reluctant and made the rule of never dating a musician ever again. Her walls are guardians out of fear, but Raif wants to break through everyone of them. He just can't get her out of his head. But while Sacha slowly crumbles under his pressure and gives in to what can be a beautiful lovestory, a history of betrayal looms again.

With a light and funny writingstyle, the author reminds us of the importance of good friendships. Both MC's have very good sidecharacters on their sides which peaks our curiosity on future stories in the series (Blair and Presley, looking at you!). I loved their love, care and banter. While I loved Raif, I had some annoyance with Sacha who in my opinion was sometimes rude to Raif for no real reason. And although I enjoyed the story, there is a little too much pining in thought and too less real interactions in the beginning. I would have loved some more true interactions between the characters, a little more show than tell. Now, their craving for each other was based on very little and it didn't felt real because of that. Furthermore, the characters could have used some more background to give them more depth and understanding. But, hey, we got loads of margarita's in return, so not complaining here! All in all, a great debut and I am looking forward to more from this new writer's hand!

ARC Review: Tequila Songbird by authormrhiannon 🎶🥃

• Rockstar romance
• Billionaire
• Begin again
• Forced proximity

This is authormrhiannon’s debut novel, and it is so good. I read this back in December, but it honestly feels like I just finished it because these characters are still so vivid in my mind. This was such an amazing start to a brand-new series, and the found family element was done so well.

The story follows Raif and Sasha, and they have one of the best meet-cutes I’ve ever read. From that moment, I was completely hooked and couldn’t wait to see where the story was heading. Raif was pretty much down bad for Sasha from the start, while she took a little longer to catch up but once she did, you could literally see the wheels turning in her head about Raif and where things could go.

One of the strongest parts of this book was their connection. You could feel it on every page. Raif, an ex-playboy, really settled down for Sasha and genuinely wanted to build a future with her, which I absolutely loved.

I really enjoyed the writing style, and I loved how much depth we got with the side characters. I’m already counting down for their books especially the next one. I’m so excited.

Thank you so much, authormrhiannon for an early copy of this book. I truly appreciate it, and congratulations, beautiful, on your release 💖✨

ARC Review
It has been a long time since I have read a rockstar romance - wattpad anyone? - but this one managed to earn four stars from me. I enjoyed reading about how Sasha, our FMC, didn’t just rely on or make her way purely because of Raif’s, our MMC, music career. Another amazing aspect of this book was that Sasha didn’t immediately know who Raif was, or fangirl over him until they fell in love. He fell first AND he fell harder and I know there are so many readers out there who love this trope. If you’re looking for a romance where the man has to fight a little to get the girl, this book is for you.

Quotes and Notes
“Penny finally drop, gorgeous?”
My reaction: oh yeah it did.

“I snap a picture of the Polaroid camera and the jar of corny date ideas.”
My reaction: I would’ve folded.

“Not with me. Not ever again. My goddess. My girl.”
My reaction: aww perfect ending

i was so excited for this as i love a rockstar romance but i think this just wasn’t quite there for me personally. i’m not sure if it was too short or something but it just felt lacking and like something was missing? it all moved quite fast without anything really seeming to happen so i don’t think i was invested enough in the story to fully believe in it.

i liked sasha but i didn’t care enough about her, and i really just didn’t even feel like i fully knew raif despite half the chapters being from his pov

i did really like how friendship was written between sasha margot and blair, but it did also feel like half of the book was just spent talking about them and preparing for what will be their stories, which made it less about sasha and raif and again made it feel like something was missing and i couldn’t fully feel invested in them

i liked the writing for the most part! but there was tooooooo much of like question asked and then answered in a very ‘hotel? trivago’ way, and it works for a bit but it’s far too often that it’s just cringe

not a bad book at all but i just didn’t care enough personally

thank you to love notes pr for the arc!

This was a fun book, and really unique story! I really enjoyed the cast of characters and how all the personalities blended together! I loved getting to watch Sasha come back from her hurt and grow her career into more than she even thought it could be! The way that she was able to heal and learn as she fought for what she wanted was really great to see! And Raif was such a fascinating character, and getting to see how he navigated his world of fame while trying to earn the trust of Sasha as she adjusted to the newness of her life! I enjoyed getting to see him as he worked through his feelings, while maintaining his professional goals, and seeing him learn and grow as he and Sasha found their way together! Overall getting to see these two come together was really sweet, and I loved how they ended up learning from each other! And all the side characters we got were so much fun, and I would love to see more of them in the future! 4 stars; 3 chili peppers

- Workplace Romance
- Forced Proximity
- Found Family
- Hidden Identity

I want to preface by saying I am so grateful to have received this as an ARC, but it just wasn't for me (I'm sorry!). There was so much potential to create a story of a woman rediscovering herself and building her self-esteem, until she met the MMC... I was expecting a passionate, intense musician that we normally get from a Rockstar romance, but instead we got a horny teenager in the body of a man in his 30s. Unfortunately, I felt their romance lacked the emotional depth needed to build the groundwork for a genuine, intimate relationship. It felt surface-level, driven by sex and physical attraction alone. If your version of intimacy is based on lust, sex, constant sexual innuendos then I guess this is fun?

Beyond them there was little plot. The story felt rushed and the addition of the jealous ex felt unnecessary. Though, I will admit the friendship between the girls was fun and something I could have become invested in! I was intrigued with the chemistry of one of the friends and the MMC's brother: a chemistry hidden under layers of frustration and disagreements. They are the reason I'm giving this two stars and not one. I personally prefer a romance more stimulated by emotion and care, intimacy outside of sex and a balanced plotline - sadly I did not feel any of this.

This book absolutely swept me away. It feels like a slow, smoky song you don’t just hear, you feel in your chest. Raw, emotional, and beautifully written, with characters so real I kept thinking about them long after I turned the last page.

Rhiannon has a gift for capturing longing, love, and the messy, complicated beauty of being human. The story balances tenderness and grit in a way that makes every triumph feel earned and every heartbreak hit just a little too close to home. There’s a quiet intensity woven through the pages; the kind that sneaks up on you and suddenly has you wiping tears you didn’t see coming.

What I loved most was how deeply immersive it was. The atmosphere, the emotion, the sense of searching for something, or someone, to call home. It all lingers like the last note of your favorite song.

If you love stories that are heartfelt, character-driven, and full of emotional depth, Tequila Songbird is one you won’t forget. Absolute five-star read.

I went into this ARC not knowing what it was about — I won’t lie, I applied purely because… well, my name’s Tequila, so how could I not read a book called Tequila Songbird? 🤭 and I'm glad I did, was a fun read!

"𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗜 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂.”
“𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺.”

This was such a fun, flirty, easy read! The banter was definitely my favourite part between the girls, the band, and especially Raif and Sasha. Their chemistry was great, and I really enjoyed their story unfolding.
That said… I found myself very invested in Presley and Blaire 👀 and I’m really hoping book two explores that more!

What an amazing debut! I love Sasha & Raif so freaking much. I literally devoured these two and had so much fun with their story. Their chemistry was instant and undeniable. Sasha had so many walls up and Raif was determined to climb every single one. And the mouth on that man?! 🥵 Sasha had rules, and Raif wanted to break every single one of them. They had this pull towards each other that Sasha tried to run from, but Raif didn’t let her. Steady and persistent, Raif didn’t give up. He continued to show up and support Sasha in every way he could. I LOVED watching this former playboy fall head over heels for his girl.

Not only did I fall for Raif and Sasha, but the band and girl gang was top notch. Tequila Songbird hooked me instantly and I can’t wait to see what’s to come for this group!

Congrats on your debut release girl!!

Tequila Songbird turned out to be such a delightful surprise. Rockstar romances aren’t usually my go-to, but this story had me completely hooked from the start. The banter between Raif and Sasha was witty and fun, flowing so naturally that it made their connection feel effortless. Their chemistry was off-the-charts explosive, and the sexy moments were perfectly timed, adding heat without overpowering the emotional pull of their story.
Sasha and her girls were absolute standouts—strong, loyal, and endlessly entertaining—while Raif and his boys brought their own brand of charm and swagger that fit the rockstar vibe beautifully. Every interaction felt alive and engaging. And then there’s Blair and Presley… the sexual tension between those two practically leapt off the page and left me desperate for more. I am beyond ready for their story and cannot wait to dive into the next book. 🔥🎸

I had the opportunity to beta read this book, and even tho I have read quite a few rockstar romances, this was one of my top reads in this genre.

This book pulled me in fast and never let go. The story felt so raw and lived-in, like you’re not just reading about Sasha and Raif, but standing right there with them and watching everything unfold. Even tho I became more invested in Blair's own story unfolding in the background, I loved Raif and Sasha's journey.

Sasha was incredibly easy to connect to. She's flawed, creative, loyal, and very much a girls’ girl. Her friendships with Blair and Margot are one of the strongest parts of the book which was such a highlight for me. Their dynamic feels effortless and real. Their sense of found family adds so much depth to the story.

And RAIF KING, wow. There’s far more to him than what we see on the surface. Beneath the charm and confidence is someone deeply supportive and caring. The way he sees Sasha, like actually sees her, her talent, her worth, her voice, is so special. And once he sets his sights on her, he becomes incredibly determined. And also when the spice hits, it hits. I can never look at a guitar pick the same way again,

The music aspect that just flows throughout the story gives it an extra layer of soul. It just makes this book even more special. For a debut, this book is impressive in every way, and I already cannot wait until we get to read Blair's story next!
