I have coveted this book since its release was announced. Against all odds, given the state’s political climate, I remain a proud native Texan. This book is wonderful- full of true Texan character and oddities that made me smile the whole way through. Gorgeously illustrated, thoughtfully written, and uniquely Texan, this is my most favorite Christmas gift I received this year. I give this book all of the big and bright stars in the Texas night sky.

A treat to read about a lot of the quirky thangs that Texans do. The publisher should have figured out how to have colorful backgrounds for the page tht you could read. Black print on dark purple pages is no bueno fo older eyes.
