While cleaning the debris from the 2029 tidal wave that destroyed the Florida Treasure Coast, US Navy Seals veteran Alan Rivers scoops up an ancient bronze cube that contains papyrus scrolls of an unknown language. Alan meets Amy Crowder who works at the Florida Historical Society. The two of them are attracted to one another but Alan is leery of a relationship because of their social economic differences.
They both begin a friendship after rescuing an abandoned newborn baby. In the meantime. A.I. translates the scrolls, they speak of a heaven and earth that existed before the one we now live in. Two major Christian magazines ignite a conflict in the church. One magazine supports the old earth theory (Gap theory), and the other magazine supports the new earth theory.
The Gap theory caused a revival in the youth church because it agrees with the science of fossil records. The traditional church goes into great lengths to destroy the scrolls keeping the Gap theory a mystery. Alan, Amy and friends fight to protect the scrolls.
