Ian Whybrow is a British writer of children's books, first published in 1989. He has written over 100 books for children, has been translated into 27 languages and is published in 28 countries. His books are humorous and range from picture books to novels, short stories and poetry.
Axel Scheffler's illustrations are magnificent once more and complement the story of the bear who makes his wacky way to bed.
Along the way he is confronted by a variety of situations that he has to manage and the children will love to manage them and try to find their way to bed without being eaten by a crocodile, attacked by a snake, eating something not very nice in the Mouse Motel, without climbing in the wrong window when he arrives at his home and along the way getting a lift from the sheep in a jeep.
His adventures cover other situations as well, all very daunting until he he manages to find Big Bear and Ticklemetoo the monkey in his bedroom. And having done that he is able to sleep tight, safely in the arms of his owner!
