“It all begins and ends in your mind. What you give power to has power over you, if you allow it. You aren’t that same person anymore. Move on. Evolve.” - Vex

Ria is not a well developed character in my opinion. Her observation skills of how handsome Brodie is was a dead give away. I wish her feelings weren't so transparent.
The plunge scene was so uneventful,  terrible scene were i felt like nothing happened and the stone retrieval seemed for nothing.
Felt like fourth wing from the beginning and especially so when Ria's electricity power developed entirely.

The poor editing was also obvious throughout the book. It was more annoying than any advanced reader copy I've read and some of those were riddled with all sorts of mistakes. The author should go with a different publishing house and save herself the embarrassment of this publishing house...

I wonder if the editors know how to use 's correctly, because I doubt it. The editing oversight made reading annoying and made me look out for all the possible mistakes.

Too many characters were introduced and then abandoned throughout the plot in a strange way. I felt annoyed how some things were implied and not clarified or followed up- Brodie's past, Ryler and his odd existence,  Lia being a main character only to be replaced by Ava..then Ava replaced by Lia again.

The ending was just totally weird. If the rest of the books were published I'd go to book 2 but considering how messy this book was I doubt by the time book 2 comes out I'd care to go back into this world. The Mitch-Brodie switch was abrupt and anticlimactic, finding her brother was cool but the ending was so damn uneventful and confusing that I was annoyed at having read this much.

Overall, I kept the pages turning but I couldn't enjoy the plot because I was too busy stumbling on poor editing mistakes, and wondering what the hell is going on every few chapters. I felt like there was a lot of intention behind this story but it remained unfulfilled.
