SA is NOT LOVE....
If I could give this book zero stars, I would, while the writing is not terrible and the author has some skills, the fact that she has the main male character SA the main female character once he finds her after she left him and she still ends up falling in love with him again is disgusting. The fact that the author has this act happen in front of the main female character's best guy friend who loves and adores her and helped take care of her and helped her escape the main male character at one point and for her to reject that friend, and get off on the sexual assault happening to her it is revolting. I couldn't even finish the book all the way because it was that nasty. It should have never been published. I've brought and read a lot of dark mafia romances, and I even have several favorite dark mafia romance authors, but this book is something else. 0 stars... would not recommend. Everybody giving it like five stars or even three or four and saying that it's such a good book. Well I wonder if some of you all need some therapy.
PS. I know that some dark mafia romances have really dark elements like this, but in my personal opinion s****l assault should never be a fantasy and is never okay. Just saying.

This book was funny, in a bad way. (Possible spoilers ahead) I almost DNF this book at least 10 times. Long rant/spoilers ahead
I go into most mafia books knowing they’re going to be OTT and the MMCs are usually ridiculously possessive. This book was something else…. I’m not sure I’d think of this as a Christmas book. 😂😂
Igor (H) and Elana (h) have been in a 6-month relationship when the book starts. He’s rich and secretive, and she’s poor and naive/dumb. H doesn’t tell h anything about his life. She starts to get red flags 🚩 when he gets texts from random “business” associates (female) and when he comes to h’s place smelling like perfume. (This h is painfully dumb)
When the book starts, H and h had just had some kinky smex. He has to leave suddenly. He arrives at his dad’s house to meet up with his fiancé 😱😱 Yep, this mafia guy is engaged and has been the whole time he was with h.
This OW is so outrageous, she just drops to her knees right in front of H and starts to give him oral (remember he just left h’s place after smex- no shower) BUT we are supposed to think H loves h soooooo much because he can’t get hard for OW. Eek

Anyway, a few weeks pass, and H is still acting shady and h is suss. She’s dumb tho. She delivers some wine to a hotel and surprise! She learns H is engaged to OW. Don’t worry though. H told h he’d still take care of her as his side piece. h is like FK OFF. h has this friend, Marco. Marco gets h out of the country. h finds out she’s pregnant.
5 years later. h has a 5 year old daughter. She has a successful jewelry business. Marco is still a friend, but he’d like to be more.
We find out H ended his engagement not long after h took off. He’s been looking for her everyday. At one point, OW comes to see him and sprays him with some chemical. I think she was going to gRape him, but he was able to stop her. 🥴 She is BIG MAD that he won’t be with her.
H finds out where h is. He stalks her for a few days. He jacks off behind her curtains then sprays the curtains with his “release” 🙃🙃 (awe ❤️ He’s left her a present) /:s
Hides cameras all over her house. Stalks the little kid like some pervy creep. Sends her flowers.
Then he traps her inside a car and gRapes her. She doesn’t know who he is because he blindfolded her.
She has Marco stay with her after that because she’s scared.
H breaks in, his Identity known now, and gRapes her, again. He doesn’t get “off” because Marco interrupts, so H beats him up, ties him up, then forces Marco to watch while he gRapes h in the back and the front. 😱
The next day, H is trying to make pancakes for h and the kid. H also officially moves all his stuff to h’s house. At this point, H believes Marco is the kid’s dad (because that’s what h told him)
Ffs-‘we go from gRape to pancakes. 🤦♀️🤦♀️
This is all so freaking ridiculous
So….H finally explains to h everything that really happened 5 years ago. He promises never to leave her or pick the mafia over her. Then his phone rings. 😂 His mafia is in trouble. He leaves
h has to go to Marco’s because his grandma is sick. Uh oh. Yep, h walked right into the trap. Nice Marco is not really nice.
Marco almost gRapes h, but H makes it in time. (I guess he’s the only one allowed to gRape) 🥴🥴😬

We are only about 65% in, so I assume OW will make an appearance soon.

Yes, there is spice in this book. The spice is spicing…BUT if you read too deeply into it, some of it is 🤢. There’s nothing sexy about backdoor oral, then kissing. Or backdoor smex, then front door smex. Ugh all I keep seeing is a UTI in progress. The dirty talk was funny, thought.

Repetitive and horrible SA moments
Dang, thought I'd change up my Christmas read this year with a dark Mafia book from a new (to me) author. Bad mistake... I wish I could wash this is book out with acid from my mind.
Firstly the story is just slow and repetitive. Like from the summary plot we already know she left the guy after he betrayed her. We could've really shortened that and time jumped to focus more on them meeting back up years later.
Then we had pages of "dreams" reiterating the fist 20% of the book.
Lastly I dnfed at around 45% because we had two full on SA scenes with the MMC inflicted on the FMC. While the author's sad attempt to make it seem okay "well her body said yes even though she was saying no so it's okay".
No.its not. okay.
This book is truly awful. I've read my share of dark Mafia books but never read one in which the MMC; inflicted such things on the fmc to "punish her". Just disgusting.

Honestly this was just gross, the way the mmc treated the fmc and of course, she just couldn't resist, even though he r worded her pretending to be a complete stranger, then assaulted her again in front of her best guy friend after beating the crap out of him!
Just a total dream guy, who wouldn't want someone like him?
Women are way stronger than this crap, so sick of these kind of weak fmc, if you don't know how to write a story where the mmc has to actually earn the fmc forgiveness then why bother??

Strong start, weak finish
This book had way too many continuity errors. I kept having to backtrack to see if I missed something...I hadn't. The author's writing is grammatically fine but I think she needs a better editor to catch the continuity lapses.
Continuity aside, my biggest upset with this book- spoiler warning ahead- was the fact that the mmc raped the fmc multiple times and she didn't get upset and forgave him nearly immediately. There should have been a whole lot of anger on her part and groveling on his. Instead, he sheds a tear, she kisses the tear and let's him back into her home and life. I nearly through the book away at that point.

FMC runs from MMC after she finds out he’s engaged, and it takes him five years to find her…when he then decides the best reunion is to stalk her, terrify her, threaten her, and eventually SA her TWICE. And what’s her response? She’s mad for all of two seconds before she’s kissing him because he’s crying. Literally minutes after he’s 🍇d her, and she’s kissing him. Honestly, fuck this author.

Bad writing, poor development. On screen rape, multiple times. There needs to be trigger warnings. I never cared for them in the past but now I see the reason. I had to read through a whole ass rape scene. I had expected it to contribute to the story but it was just there. I’m a crass bitch and I love my smut but this was just disgusting and gratuitous sexual violence for fucking nothing. Disgusting.

Salto de 5 años, ella triunfadora, emprendedora, criando a su hija sola, por un momento pensé que era diseñadora de joyas pero después parece ser de ropa, en fin, le va bien hasta que él la encuentra y todo se convierte en un sin sentido absoluto.
Terminan juntos obviamente....

First I want to say you are a really talented writer but you need to build a strong connection between your characters .Give them the space and time in your books to bond and develop build a strong connection that your books try to show. The plot is flat and predictable. I read two books and I can easily trace the similarities between them. Both of the male characters are behaving and thinking the same way even how to handle their mistakes and their grovel techniques. I understand they are possessive men but I must feel they are two different people as a reader . Furthermore a friend who helped the heroine to disappear was in love with her silently is repeated. My point even if the same plot age gap and secret baby but even book should be unique has it is own way, degrade the heroine and she forgave him is unhealthy message for girls because it is not love it is humiliation.

Confusing.
Okay, the smut was definitely smutting, but the plot was all over the place. This gets 2.5 stars for the smut alone.
They broke up on Christmas, which is why the book has it in the title, I guess, but that’s really the only connection.
We start with Igor, a typical mafia douche. He has to get married to someone in the underworld but wants to keep Elena on the side. Then, he’s surprised when she runs away. They dated for only six months.
He spends five years looking for her. Five years! Then, he just storms back into her life and decides to stay in another mafia Don’s territory, regardless of the consequences. It doesn’t make sense, but okay. The climax concludes pretty quickly, leaving us with unanswered questions, like who was the mole?
It started off so well, but then it just went off the rails.

This book broke my heart but it also put it back together. I was not expecting the heartbreak when I started the book. At first I hated the MMC for the way he was treating the FMC. But I also didn’t really like the FMC due to her coming across way too gullible. As the story keeps going I did fall in love with the FMC strength and determination to do better than her parents. The MMC had to work most of the book to redeem his actions to me. The spice was hot and hard with a touch of kink mixed in. Now, I know par in saying this, but this is a mafia trope so make sure you check the trigger/content warnings.
Overall rating 4 stars, 3.5 smiles, 3 peppers and 3 black hearts.

The storyline in this one was excellent. It started with their love for one another and ended the same way with their love. What they both had to endure to find each other again, took us thru different adventures that kept me reading this entire book in one seating. Yes I started it around noon on Sunday and just finished it Monday morning around 6:30am. Your writing talent for describing the different places and what was happening are very descriptive and of course held my interest throughout the entire book. Can't wait to read the next one. Thank you.

I loved this read. I couldn't seem to put it down.
Elena was hurt and at the worst time of the year. She didn't think she would ever love again. But when she moves and finds an unexpected gift, she starts over and fights to make her own way.
Igor messed up and he's determined to fix it anyway he can when the time presents itself.
The struggle to find the other, the secret that has been hidden for 5 years. Redemption. Forgiveness. And a Christmas considered miracle. And other woman drama.

So this is a difficult one to decided on how much I liked this story. Both the characters were strong and i liked them both, but the story bored me in places, it started great then in the middle it got a bit slow and boring and then at the end it got exciting. Stella was adorable, Marco was a snake!
I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it.

It was ok
This gem is from a new to me author, so i was not accustomed to their writing style. I'm not sure I would consider this a Christmas story, but okay. I get it the betrayal that happened on Christmas day, and it ended on Christmas. I would say this book is bratva lite due to the limited action/violence. The author did not note a trigger that I believe needs to be mentioned - there is a scene on non-con and dub-con.

Igor and Elena were great together and approaching a milestone into their relationship. Unfortunately, secrets and betrayal separate them for years until they are reunited. The suspense in this story was emotionally heightened. It had a little bit of danger and romance that brought out the intrigue of this story.

Engaging read.
The book caught my attention from page one. I enjoyed a lot about this book. Igor is a man of Complexity. Elena had the strength of a thousand Men. The spice was great and just enough in the story as to not over do it. The middle of the book was what gave me pause, its a bit dark and be uncomfortable so just prepare. The ending wrapped everything up nice and tidy.

Felt a Bit Like a K-Drama
The explicit smut was great, if not a bit repetitive. The less generic long game grovel by the MMC was good. The on page non-con between MMC and FMC, slightly k-drama dialogue, lack of Italian references to sell the setting, predictable taking of the FMC and child, and Marco (the man who is heavily aggrieved but doesn’t pop up for vengeance) just really brought this from 3.5 stars to what feels like a generous 2 stars.

Good but
It was a good book except for the r@ape part. I didn’t understand why the author put that kind of scene when they meet again. And after that, because he was there she forgive him. Like his presence is enough to earn forgiveness. This book doesn’t have any grovelling. He is a better man at the end of the book, but did nothing to earn it except feeling what lost mean. Great book
Very good book. Intense suspenseful betrayal romance forgiveness secrets and so much more. Elena has to be so strong and Marco helps so much for awhile but then changes.
The ML does some pretty unforgivable things though in trying to win Elena back. Things that should be addressed in the story but aren't hence the 4 stars. I doubt I'd be as forgiving as Elena was. More mistakes to fix previous ones aren't the best choices to make.

Omg!
I absolutely loved Igor and Elana. His obsession is so heart warming and spicy. Marco definitely shocked me! Oh I absolutely love Stella! If you love a tough controlling mafia man who is absolutely torn between his duty and his soul mate with lots of twists and turns with lots of spice you 'll love this!

Owned by the Bratva Christmas Devil
I enjoyed this book The storyline was good and it flowed. Lots of action and a very controlling and jealous man. Loved the daughter Stella and how Elena had named her business after her. Also liked the bonus scene which took you into the future.
