one of my favorite stories!
Loved this story! Hold your breath as Highlander Claricia is kidnapped on her way to her forced marriage to Norse Erik. The danger doesn’t stop there! Realistic progression from enemies to lovers in this previous tale. Don’t want to wait long for the other jarl’s challenges with their Highlander brides. This tale needs more reads. Get caught up in the love

A phenomenal beginning!
I loved this book! The first in what promises to be an amazing new series by Fiona begins with the tale of Erik and Claricia. He’s the Norse Lord known as the Wolf and she’s the daughter of a Highland Laird. Decreed by the King of Scotland to marry in order to end the bloodshed between the Vikings and the Highlanders, their journey starts off as an adventure. He will rescue her when her ship is attacked. They will marry per the King’s decree but love will take some time to develop. I love how their story develop as they are both a bit stubborn and she’s got a bit of a sharp tongue! Their banter is a wonderful part of the story and just adds to the wonder of their relationship. There will be betrayal that is by someone closer then either of them would like but Erik will arrive in time to save her. We get a glimpse of the next of the five Jarls chosen for the King’s mission to be called upon to wed a Highland lass and I can’t wait to read his story!

This is another amazing story by Fiona Faris and the start of a new series. The King of Scotland has decreed that to end the continuous fighting between the Viking Norsemen and the Highland Lairds that the five Viking Lairds are to marry the daughters of five Highland Lairds that shall be known as the Laird’s Pact. These clans are sworn enemies that have been fighting for decades. These clans first marriage will be between Erik Thorsen, Jarl and Laird of the Isle of Skye to Lady Claricia MacKenzie, daughter of Laird Finnian MacKenzie of Kintail. In a previous fight, Erik‘s clan were responsible for the death of Claricia‘s brother. How will she ever get past that she had sworn that her betrothed was her enemy because of her brother’s death and now she had to marry him! Little did she know that her formerly betrothed Laird Duncan MacRae was not going to let the humiliation he felt go unpunished and set out to devise a plan to steal Claricia back! This is an excellent book and one you won’t want to miss!!

Bound by King Alexander II’s Viking Laird’s Pact, Eric Thorsen must marry Clarisia Mackenzie to end the raids between the Viking Lairds and the Highland Lairds. Both expecting the worst but are surprised to discover goodness in the other. Erik saves Clarisia more than once in this book proving himself to be something more than the wolf of Skye. An ex-betrothed and an unhappy, grieving father complicate a growing understanding and affection between Erik and Clarisia.

Enemies turned to get allies
Great book of a forced marriage with both parties not happy. Erik will do what it takes to keep Clarcia safe from an old flame who will not be denied. Loved this story
