The Thesis of Us

Rate this book
When grad student and research assistant Yvonne is roped into a trip with her infuriatingly brilliant—and undeniably attractive—mentor Myles Charleston, she thinks her holiday break is ruined. It’s the final year of her program and the last thing she wants is to spend hours trapped with him. Their destination? The prestigious Wilson-Wheatley conference where they’ll present their co-authored paper. But when a rogue snowstorm brings their carefully planned journey to a screeching halt, detours, forced proximity, and unresolved tension turn the trip into anything but professional.

Listen. I thought this was going to be a cute holiday romance.

It *was* that! But it was also smart, sensual, emotionally affirming, and unexpectedly filthy in the best way.

The chemistry between Yvonne and Myles is immediate and intense, but what really got me was how genuine their connection felt. This isn't just sex for the sake of sex. There's communication, trust, curiosity, and growth wrapped around it. Praise, dominance, consent, emotional safety? Yes! All of it!

The pacing does jump a bit in places, and there are minor editing issues, but none of that stopped me from flying through this book in less than a day. The writing has moments that are genuinely beautiful and others that had me laughing out loud or fanning myself.

If you want a Black holiday romance that's cozy and spicy, intellectual and indulgent, this one absolutely delivers!

Second time reading a book from Frankie Majesty I had to take a break after reading some chapters 🤣

My initial thoughts of Yvonne & Myles were changed as I kept reading and Myles definitely surprised me. It seemed like he kept raising the stakes in each chapter.

I do wish that there was more of a backstory about their families and how they ended up with their current preferences.

Good reading pace and nice weekend read.

This book was so fun, cozy, and spicy. I loved Yvonne and Myles from the very first pages. The healthy conversations about exploration in the bedroom, the fun and sweet banter, the kinky fun, and the love put into both characters blended together for the perfect holiday feast. If you’re looking for a spicy book to read for the holidays, look no further, this is IT! ❤️🎄

Amazing!

This is the third piece I’ve read by this author and I have to say I love the way she writes about love. The escalation of Myles and Yvonne’s relationship felt so gentle and pure and it was a pleasurable reading experience.

So lovely

These two adorable nerds navigating how to communicate their love for one another was so sweet and so spicy. I loved how intertwined against the backdrop of a super steamy love story, elements of family, safety and tenderness were woven in so carefully.
