Rose and Malcolm . . .

Chet Carmichael is trying to find out what happened to Diego and Sebastian who disappeared the previous Fall. Rose Timmons is being forced by her cruel stepfather Chet to spy on Malcolm Filmore who works at the construction company, otherwise her stepfather threatens harm to her sister Chloe (by tossing her out on the street). So she feels compelled to apply for a job to get her closer for spying on Malcolm.

When Rose and Malcolm go out to eat "the best burgers in town", Thomas sees her grab the check before Malcolm can pay it. She noticed the anger between the two of them. When Thomas finally left their table, Rose asked Malcolm about why Thomas had been so aggressive toward him and had warned Rose that Malcolm hadn't told her the truth about who he really was "although Sebastian and Diego knew the truth". When she asked him directly, Malcolm said he was in a rival fraternity from theirs and the Kappas think his fraternity is to blame for Sebastian and Diego's disappearance last Fall. She finds herself starting to fall for Malcolm as they spend time together, and things become awkward. Malcolm recognizes her as his mate. He also senses that she has a hidden agenda of some kind. Can he trust her? Instead, he becomes disappointed when he discovers she has been spying on him from the start. But when Rose needs help, Malcolm goes into action to keep her safe. They are in danger as her stepfather also tries to capture them. Will Malcolm save them by exposing himself as a fiery dragon? Or will they be captured and perhaps killed to hide what has been going on?

Absolutely amazing!

This book is awesome! The next one of the guys to get his happily ever after is Malcolm. He has a whole plan for his life after graduation and it doesn’t include love. Rose is being sent to spy on Malcolm and the rest of the fraternity by her stepfather, Chet, who is a member of the rival clan the guys have been fighting with. She is to find out what happened to Diego and Sebastian as Chet is sure the Sigmas are involved. She doesn’t plan on falling for Malcolm but it happens anyway. There are a few bumps along the way but when Malcolm realizes the truth, he goes for what he wants and that’s Rose. Chet will continue to cause problems and another member of the clan will reveal Rose’s secret and it will have Malcolm doubting everything. It will drive a wedge between them but when Rose is in danger, Malcolm steps in to save her. Next on their list of people to save is Rose’s sister, Chloe and they will get her before Chet does and take her to Malcolm’s family home. There a plan is made to help Rose and Chloe and it will end with a wonderful wedding. There will be one more encounter with Chet but he will lose and it will let Rose and Malcolm get started on the rest of their life together. We get a peek at Walker’s story, as he’s next, and I can’t wait to read what happens to him!

Rose is forced to get close to Malcolm and spy on their soritory or her young sister will be thrown out into the street by her stepfather Chet. Chet tells her that Malcolm and the guys are responsible for the missing people but it doesn’t seem the right thing to do so she makes up excuses. Malcolm runs into her but when he helps her up the both get a shock and she doesn’t understand why she feels the pull to be with him. Rose gets a job at the construction company where Malcolm at. Malcolm feels that there is something Rose is hiding from him and he has his future planned out which didn’t include a mate. He finds out that she is supposed to be spying on the she explains what all she had said to Chet, a woman at the office attacks her that woman is unstable. Her car is destroyed the police can’t find Sandra who had disappeared later Rose calls a friend at work to pick her up. Sandra gets her to sell her, Malcolm and the guys find her location so he flies ahead. Grabs her she sees the eyes and knows that Malcolm saved her and then they save her little sister from Chet’s evil plan. After they get married Chet finds them and attacks the clan gets there and take Chet.

I really enjoyed this fourth book in this series. Malcolm is determined to get rich through real estate, and when he meets Rose who he runs into on the way back from a job that he and the rest of his fraternity executed. Rose, is a new employee in the business that he works at, he recognises that she is his fated mate, but is determined to ignore the pull. The more these to get to know each other the more, they can’t ignore that they are meant to be together, even with her stepfather, trying to intimidate her and a danger in the office that wants to get rid of her. Eventually, Rose has the clan behind her, and she is able to save her sister. The story ends with the lead up to the next story in the series with Walker meeting his mate.

Good Premise, But Problems

While I’ve been enjoying this series overall, I had a few issues with Malcolm and Rose’s story. First, the main plot was fine, and I enjoyed the central characters; however, I thought the whole issue with Sandra just didn’t fit. The initial encounters with her were fine, but the rest of what she did was lacking details to make it more plausible in the course of the story. And Malcolm certainly didn’t seem to go to class much.
Finally, the prologue for each book is starting to get annoying, only because we are four books in and beyond the prologue, nothing has been mentioned or developed at all with whatever the elders have planned for the boys.
Overall, things just seem to happen without enough detail to make them believable.

Malcolm and Rose. Rose has been sent to spy on Malcolm and the rest of Sigma house by her stepfather, Chet. He wants her to find out what happened to Diego and Sebastian and has threatened her little sister if Rose fails in her task. It takes Malcolm awhile to admit what Rose is to him. He is focused on a property he plans to renovate and lease as commercial space, with an apartment upstairs for him to live in after he finishes his degree. A mate is not on his radar. Surprise.

Dragon spies and lies

A fast-paced read, slow-build romance with fantastic chemistry between the main characters, dragon shifters, college romance, desire, drama, action, clan politics and shifter history, great banter, some lovely twists, a bit of steam and a lovely HEA; and I look forward to reading Walker's story next.

Malcolm isn't interested in romance, just his construction business, until he bumps into Rose one evening and senses she's his mate. Rose is at the college to spy on him for her cruel stepfather and though she tries to keep her distance she can't help but fall for Malcolm.

This is Book 4 of Dragon Secrets of Parkhurst College. This book has a sexy dragon shifter MMC and a sweet human FMC. One of the secrets is Rose's. It is why she is there at Parkhurst College in the first place. Malcolm is keeping his identity as a dragon shifter secret for good reason. They are fated mates and can not resist the pull. There are two different dangers surrounding them. First is her stepfather and his hidden agenda and then Sandra the insane woman at her work place. I highly recommend this book to all paranormal romance readers.

I guess I say that it's my favorite about each book in this series because I seem to enjoy each one more than the last. It seemed to all be falling into place for Rose and Malcomb until it suddenly wasn’t. They were so good together but nothing was good enough for her evil stepfather, whose identity reveal was quite startling. I felt so sorry for Rose because she was pushed into something she didn’t want to do. Of course, thanks in large part to the clan, it all works out in the end.

I liked this book as it delved into bullying by a step-father, secrets on both sides, a deranged woman, and a mating that Malcolm wants to deny. This story keeps the reader wondering what will happen next and introduces you to the other members of Malcolm’s clan along with the clans antagonist. This is all in a college setting and gives the reader insight into what each character wants out of their lives after college.

This was another engaging addition to the series and there's a lot going on in this one. Poor Rose is being blackmailed by her uncle to spy on Malcolm or risk her sister :( Malcolm knows Rose is his fated mate but he resists for quite a while...although he also knows she has a hidden agenda.. Expect to get caught up in the action, drama, danger, secrets, suspense and spicy romance that ends with a fab HEA. Rose is really put through the wringer but thankfully, Malcolm and his clan come together to save the day. Good fun!

I love the recurring mystery and adventure threaded through each story while maintaining the individual dynamics that make each one unique. The are wonderful characters and always a bit of a twist that keeps the reader guessing.

Malcolm and Rose are fated mates but her intentions seem unclear as the control her stepfather has is unknown but potentially harmful. Merging their lives together takes rebuilding trust and a pinch of danger but it was truly entertaining to read.

The story just kind of stopped. The epilogue was the start of the next story. The characters were entirely lacking depth, which made it extremely hard to care about them.
