Sibling Goals #2

You Are So Not My Type

Rate this book
He was supposed to be her cover story, not her future.

Sidney
I fell for Hattie Ward the second she chose a book over the game.

Who does that?
The wild girl who marches to the beat of her own drum, that's who.

But I never thought I'd have a shot with her.
Until she begs me to date her.

She thinks I'm grumpy.
She thinks I'm not her type.
She thinks this is pretend.

She's wrong.

There's nothing fake about the way she makes me feel.
And there is no one else who will worship her like I do.

She's done hiding in the shadows.
And I'm more than ready to show her exactly how bright she burns.
Even if I have to turn her world upside down.

Hattie
Propositioning my brother's teammate was the perfect plan.
One date with Sidney Hawkes, and I'd be free from my mother's schemes.

He's hot, standoffish, and not my type...the perfect fake wedding date.

Until everything changes.

One kiss, one confession, and my plans go awry.
Now, I'm his in a way I never saw coming.
And he doesn't just want to date me.
He wants to keep me.

But stepping into his world means risking everything.
I'm terrified I'm going to fall flat on my face and drag him down with me.

Falling for him is either the bravest thing I've ever done… or the dumbest.
And it's far too late to back out now.

About the Series
These professional athletes have more than fortune and fame in common. They also share a father who never played favorites, a mom who swears they're all her favorite, and a wild fanbase betting on who falls first.

But avoiding love when you've sworn it off should be easy...right?

Not for these siblings.

Someone really should have warned them that happily ever after waits for no player. When it hits, these siblings will make waves in the sporting world. That is, if they can keep their lives together long enough to make it down the aisle.

Sibling Goals is a spicy sports rom-com series featuring alpha heroes who have it all (maybe?) and curvy heroines who think they know exactly what they want (dresses with pockets, not love).

Hattie is dreading her brothers wedding because her mother likes to nit pick everything. So she's going to ask her brothers teammate Sydney to be her fake date. Sydney secretly likes her but she's off limits because her brother when he takes her home all bets are off when she ask him to fake it with her.

Now he's showing her all the realness making sure she's safe, cared for and making sure her bitch of a mother doesn't tear her down. It sucked we never saw the wedding everything was sorta pre wedding lol.

We got to see the brothers/sis from both couples. And a mother who was cut off.

Ehhh, it was okay, I suppose. Brother's teammate and fake dating that only lasted for a day 😅. Idk, I just didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped. But I'm sure the story will work for someone else.

PS. I just now realized I prefer more this author's dual V novellas. There's no info in this book about the MCs sexual history, so I'm not sure if they're V or not. 🤷‍♀️

𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗖 𝗛𝗔𝗪𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗔 𝗔𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗦 -A great introduction to another sports series, this time about American football. Lots of funny and steamy situations. This volume connects Logan and Peyton's story with volume 2, titled "Pucking Fake," and part of the "Pucked Up Love" series, which I also recommend.

“You’re Tye’s sister or something, right?” the WAG asks, still staring at me like she tasted something sour.
“That’s me.”
“That’s wild,” she says, eyeing me up and down. “Your brother is hot. You look nothing alike.” 👀

I loved the 1st in this series & holy goddess of dicks—- this one was perfect. The exact amount of strife, stress, humor, love, and a zillion other emotional factors to lock me in tight from the start. Its framework is flawless.

Not so fake dating with one hell of a MMC. When I say he protects—- this man protects from all including our FMC’s family. I adored Sidney. This character was the shit.
And, the way he loves Hattie? *chef’s kiss*💋

Sexy.
Fun.
Painful. (Only in the shit a plus size woman goes through)
It slaps you in the feels but it also gives light, love and understanding.
Definitely not a one note read. 🦋

These are relatively short works, but they skimp on nothing.
Again- the FMC & MMC are dream worthy.
Not a single note, complaint, or dispute. It works. And, it works well. 🦋

I love this story!! Sydney and Hattie are incredible together! One of Hattie’s older, extremely protective brothers is getting married, and she’s dreading the wedding because her mother is insistent she must have a date to the wedding and if Hattie can’t secure one herself, she’s going to ensure she has one. While this may appear reasonable on the surface the reader will learn that’s not the case in this mother-daughter relationship. Hattie approaches her brother’s best man to ask him to be her fake date. However, the best man has had a thing for Hattie since he first saw her months ago, and decides he’s going to use this to show Hattie they can be so good together. Sydney has to learn to navigate around Hattie’s protective brothers, in addition to the mother who’s filled Sydney with so much self-doubt and insecurity.

If there’s a hero up to the task, though, it’s Sydney. As he takes lead on not only being Hattie’s protector, but on being the wall that stands at her back to hold her up, support her, and show her to stand firm and value herself. Watching Hattie bloom with Sydney beside her is absolutely enthralling!

This is a great continuation of this sibling series, and we see several repeat characters we were previously introduced to in the first book of the series, Dare You to make Me Stay. A great read, as it has laughs, drama and tears. Add in Nichole’s unique heroine sassiness, and you have an awesome story!

Yes Nichole smashing it out the park with the second Sibling Goal installment.

Sidney and Hattie are the perfect couple. She's guarded and feeling out of place thanks to society expectations. He's her safe space and cheerleader that she didn't know she wanted, but deserves.
While Sidney comes across grumpy to everyone else, for Hattie he's soft for her, and her alone. The fact he's wanted her for months shows how much she means to him from the start.
They balance each other brilliantly, and the chemistry between them is off the page.

I enjoyed the storyline, seeing Hattie come into her own and remove the weight from her shoulders was great to read. I felt myself cheering her on, fist pumping the air in celebration. Also getting a glimpse into her family dynamics with her brothers gave even more depth to the family drama unfolding on the pages.

I LOVE Sidney and his obsession with Hattie, and I genuinely adored Hattie, they're perfection together! I laughed out loud so many times throughout this book because of how much of a hot mess Hattie is, in the best sassy sort of way. She had no filter and it made her both so loveable and adorable at the same time. The way Sidney protected all of her and built up her confidence in herself made him the perfect book boyfriend. He didn't care about anything but her and her happiness, and every woman deserves a Sidney! The bond between Hattie and her brothers was so sweet and then getting that found family feel with Sidney's tightknit family was exactly what she needed. While I wish we got a bit more about her mom at the end, I also liked how it ended that way too. Sometimes that's more realistic and true to peoples nature unfortunately. Another book where I'm not sure if either one is a virgin, but the way Hattie was portrayed with such innocence, it leads me to believe she was? No cheating or OM/OW drama, fake dating for like a day, no condoms, dual POV, HEA and an epilogue 6 years in the future. I can't wait for Sophie's book, but I really hope we get Briggs and Harlan's stories as well.

This is the 2nd book in the Sibling Goals series featuring Sidney and Hattie's emotional sweet and spicy,fake-dating, funny,insta-love, sports rom-com. Hattie is in need of a date for her brother's wedding because her mother is insisting that she has to bring one or her mother will arrange her date for her. Since Hattie's mother isn't a very nice person she's afraid that the person who she picked for the date would be horrible like her which is why Hattie comes up with her plan. Hattie decides to ask her brother's best-friend Sidney who she has feelings for that she hides to "fake"-date her and since he fell for her the minute he saw her choose a book over the game Sidney agrees. Sidney never thought that he'd have a chance with Hattie and now she's begging to date him. Sidney is going to prove that there's nothing "fake" about his feelings for her and that they belong together. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this emotional sweet and spicy, "fake"-dating, funny,insta-love, sports rom-com to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this wonderful series.

**Super Funny Read!**

"You Are So Not My Type" is the second book in the Sibling Goals series, and trust me, you won't stop laughing while reading Hattie and Sidney's sweet, funny love story as they fall in love and find their happy ever after.

Hattie finds herself needing a date for her older brother's wedding, so asking her brother's best friend to be her fake date seems like her best option. However, for Sidney, there is nothing fake about his feelings. From the moment he saw Hattie reading in the stands, he knew she was meant to be his forever.

The banter between Sidney and Hattie, along with their undeniable chemistry, is off the charts. They balance each other perfectly—her grumpy bear to his sunshine. I love how Nichole does an amazing job creating a strong, body-positive, independent FMC alongside a protective alpha MMC, both of whom fall hard and fast for each other. She brings every embarrassing and funny situation to life in her writing, making you laugh out loud.

I can’t wait for the next sibling to find their happy ever after!

This is book 2 of the Sibling Goals series and is about Hattie and Sidney.
I absolutely loved this story. Both main characters tugged at my heart from the start and I adored both by the end of the book.
Hattie has 3 brothers who she loves and adores. They are famous and in the spotlight and she’s not. She’s “normal”. Her mom is the worst and her brothers try to protect her when it comes to her mom..her mom makes Hattie not like herself very much. I DIDNT like her mom at all.
Sidney plays on the football team with Hattie’s brother Tye. They are best friends but what Tye doesn’t know is Sidney has had a crush on Hattie since he met her.
When Hattie’s mom pushes too hard, Hattie comes up with idea to ask Sidney to “date” her until after her brothers wedding but from the start Sidney decides that they are meant to be together and he will prove it to Hattie.
Will he show her that she’s loved? Will the brothers accept their relationship? How will Hattie react when Sidney stands up for her in front of her mom?

Hattie and Sidney

Hattie is sweet librarian who hates the spotlight because her family is famous and she feels like the different.

Sidney has been in love with Hattie since he saw her. He never thought he'd get a chance so when he did he went ALL in! Overprotective hot alpha vibes! I really like how he handled the situation with Hattie's brother!

It was very healing to see Hattie and her brothers cut out their mom because of all the things she did to Hattie.

This book is my new favorite sports romance! Reading this listening to TSwift made me feel like I was watching a movie while reading! This felt like a rom com vibe because of the fake dating my brother's teammate trope! It felt light hearted with their banter

I'm very excited for Shut Up and Kiss Me (Book #3)! This series has sent me on a Nichole Rose spiral! Currently reading Her Alpha's Secret Baby and the Pucked Up Love series is up Next!

I am loving this series so much. This one had me all over the place with my emotions and it was great!

Hattie needs a boyfriend for her brother's wedding fast. She has her eye on the broody, hot teammate of brother. Will her plan go up smoke, or will it be thr best decision she ever made?

Sydney has had his eye on his best friend's little sister for while but she's off limits. When she asks him to be her fake boyfriend, he can't help but say yes. But will he be able to convince her that his feelings are real?

Hattie has got to be one of my favorite Nichole Rose FMCs. I absolutely feel in love with her. She's quirky and fun and just down right amazing. And Sidney? Top tier book bf material. Broody and crazy but kind, protective, and only has eyes for the FMC. This one definitely made me cry but it was cathartic.
If you love sassy heroines and grumpy heroes, wrapped in a fake boyfriend, sports romance package, this is must read!

I received this book from Instalove as an ARC and am leaving this review of my own free will.

This book covers so much in a short book. Her mother has always been mentally abusive. To the point of trying to get her married off to a twat that wants her to be a stay at home wife, loose weight, and bring him popularity because her father was a great football player as are her brothers. No matter how toxic her mom has been in the past, Hattie wants the happy family. Now her older brother is getting married and her mom wants to arrange a date for her to the wedding. Yep, the twat. So, Hattie decided to ask on of her brother's friends and teammates Sid. She's had a crush on him for awhile now. She thinks he turned her down. Except Sid has had a thing for the curvy little libirarian since he saw her in the stands reading a book during practice. Yeah, he won't let anyone else take her either. It's a very emotional.story, full of angst, laughter, and love. It's a great read.

To avoid her mother’s determination to set her up with a man she deems appropriate for her brother’s wedding Hattie approaches her brother’s friend and teammate to pretend they are together. She believes that he would never be romantically interested in her but she is about to find out she couldn’t be more wrong.

Sydney has been trying to deny his feelings for Hattie for a while so even though he is surprised when she wants to pretend they are a couple he isn’t about to let the opportunity pass him by. He is going to show her that not only is she perfect in every way but the only woman he wants.

Sydney is the boyfriend that any woman would be lucky to have as he is supportive, protective and is determined to ensure that she sees herself as the beautiful woman she is and is anyone tells her differently they don’t deserve to be in her life.

This is book two in the author’s Sibling Goals series and it was so deliciously good!! Why can’t real men be like the ones in our favorite romances??!! Sidney, the MMC, was a prime example; he was pure perfection with the way he worshipped Hattie, the FMC, and let nothing hurt her or make her doubt herself and what she meant to him—not even her family.

This book, along with just about every one Ms. Rose has written, was amazing. It was super steamy while still packing a punch to the heart you won’t be forgetting anytime soon. I LOVED Sidney’s patience with Hattie’s fears while at the same time absolutely refusing to back off from his pursuit to show her how beautiful he thought she was… it was just perfect!!! You really need to check this book out, like, ASAP! 5 stars

This is book number 2 of the Sibling Goals series and focuses on Sidney and Hattie. Hattie has spent her life being made to feel small by her mom. With her brother's wedding coming up, she is determined to find a date for the wedding so her mom can’t set one up for her. She decides to ask her brother’s teammate, Sidney, to be her fake date. What she doesn’t expect is for Sidney to have been wanting to make her his for months. Sidney agrees to the arrangement but he is actively trying to prove to Hattie that they are the real deal and that they are forever. I love how Sidney was to Hattie and how he helped build her confidence up that her mom has spent her whole life trying to diminish. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

That is the second story of this series and the other Hawkes brother found his HEA. Sidney saw Hattie and instantly fell for her, but there was a problem...she is his teammates little sister and off limits. Hattie is very self conscious about herself and her looks, thanks to her mother . She thinks Sidney would never been interested in her ,but boy is she wrong. When Hattie needs a fake date, Sidney sees his chance to finally get his woman and their HEA😏 Insta love, sweet, steamy, fun to read, great banter and ,OTT obsessed man, romantic and totally safe (I read it as dual virgins😏) with an awesome HEA 😍😍😍😍 can't wait for Sophie's story and the stories of Hattie's brothers 😀

I love when two people are meant to be together fall in love!! Hattie Ward needed a date to her brother’s wedding, she refused to go with Cory, the little weasel her mother was setting her up with, yuck! Sidney Hawkes had fallen in love with his best friend’s little sister when she brought a book to his game! He would never act on those feelings, that was until a slightly drunk Hattie asked him to save her life and pretend to date her. Yeah, he would never act, famous last words. You Are So Not My Type by Nichole Rose is perfect! It is cute, sweet, super spicy and wonderful! Loved it!!

Okay I have never laughed so hard as I did at these two. They were the epitome of grumpy versus sunshine. He was adorable with how much he loved her but thinking he didn't deserve her and she was just a hot, sweet mess. I loved how she believe he would never in a million years fall for her, meanwhile he is over there thinking he is not worthy. All it takes is a rude mother to bring these two together the way they were meant to be. And good on Sidney for giving Hattie's brother the smack down he deserves.

Sidney and Hattie did not even make us wait at all before they were exuding the HOTTEST chemistry EVER! These two had me reading their book feeling so giddy, and man were they down so bad for each other. The steamy romance was spine tingling, and also the sweetest thing ever. I love how adoring the siblings in this series are too, so there is already so much to look forward to when it comes to who is falling in love next! Man this was so addicting to read! A five star hilarious read . I absolutely loved Hattie. She was so relatable. I just wanted to punch her mother but at least Hattie had her brothers. Hattie and Sidney were hot together. I laughed out loud with Hattie and her adorableness. I smiled like a loon at times, laughed out loud, and wanted to throw my tablet when it came to Hattie's mother. No one writes humor and the best FMCs like Nichole Rose. 5 stars!! Definitely going to be a reread.

So My Type!!

I loved this book! You Are So Not My Type by Nichole Rose, was about Hattie and Sidney and their love story of how their relationship came to fruition. Hattie needs a date for her brother’s wedding and she cannot go on another date setup by her nightmare of a mother. Seriously the mom is a nightmare. This book has it all, it has friendship, love, family and a little steam. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did! Time for a reread!

I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was an amazing fake relationship romance. It was a really well written story that had a great flow. Sidney was such a dreamy book boyfriend, he was attentive and protective and clearly just wanted the best for Hattie. The two had such great chemistry and I loved how they just couldn’t keep the hands from each other. This was one of my favorite books this year.

When your heart knows what you need the most

This one hit me right in the heart. Sometimes the best stories are those that bring reflection and healing to your soul. Hattie and Sidney might have seemed mismatched in their world through the judging eyes around them, but the love they shared was mutual and without conditions and gave Hattie the reassurance that she deserved to be loved for who she was.

Awww… Sidney is so NOT my type too (saying this as I cross my fingers)! He is way too sexy, way too caring, way too protective for me to like him. 😆

I loved seeing Hattie’s journey from being timid and fearful to finding the strength from within her to fight for herself. We definitely need to say “No” to toxic people in our lives.

Don’t we all need a “Cranky Bear” in our life? What a darling fake dating story. I loved how Hattie with the growly support of Sidney came in to her own.
