But with scant evidence and clear signs of political interference, the case is a minefield. Jakob has always lived by the law, but now one misstep could cost him a career.

Together, the brothers must unravel a web of greed and deception, each dead set on appearing strong in the other’s eyes. As they race the clock, which matters the truth, their careers, or fragile bonds that could be shattered forever?

TG Wolff has never been able resist a good puzzle. With an engineer’s mind for logic and a lifelong love of mysteries, she crafts whodunnit stories that challenge readers to outsmart her detective. Her books are filled with quirky characters, red herrings, and—because she firmly believes solving (fictional) murders should be fun—a healthy dose of humor.

TG earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in civil engineering, learning early to see every problem as a mystery and each solution as the answer the result of asking the right questions. That same curiosity drives her fiction, where nothing is ever accidental and every detail counts.

When she’s not plotting fictional crimes, TG is a mystery reader and reviewer, and the co-creator / co-host of the whodunnit mystery podcast Mysteries to Die For. A Cleveland, Ohio native, she now lives in northeast Indiana with her husband and two sons, where dogs and mysteries are always welcome.

For all the seriousness and the dark undercurrents of the mystery that is the plot of this book the absolute best thing and what I will remember most is Seth and Jakob’s relationship. The twins take this from a good mystery to a fabulous book. Don’t misunderstand me the mystery is good but if you read carefully you can catch the clue and figure out the killer I was so pleased when I managed. Love a good whodunnit and even more pleased when I can beat the cops to the punch. That being said I am a character person and these twins I won’t forget anytime soon. I love their antics, their bond, the way they care for each other and make each other better. The laughs, the kindness and the determination, they balance each other in the best ways. Here we mostly delved into Jakob’s life and the mystery revolves around a murder case that he as the AG was called in to consult on but we get bits and pieces of Seth’s and hopefully in future books we will get more of them separately and together. I don’t say this often but this one is a can’t miss!.

Murder on Site by a new-to-me author, TG Wolff. This legal thriller has newly appointed attorney general Jakob Rizk as the main character. His brother also has a major supporting role as he comes to Indiana to be a support and help. Political pressure is pushing Jakob to prosecute someone with little evidence. The reasons are not clear at first but as the story develops, they find corruption and secrets wanting to control the narrative. A pollical legal thriller that has danger, psychological intrigue but also a second chance, and fast-paced plot. What a story for those who are fans of legal conspiracy stories.

Murder on Site is a fabulous mystery by T.G. Wolff and the first book in The Rizk Brothers Legal Mysteries series. This is a new to me author and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The book features twin brothers, Seth and Jakob Rizk and is set in Indianapolis. Jakob was just appointed interim Attorney General after his mentor and father figure Harry passed away while they were golfing together. It was Harry’s wish that Jakob would succeed him and the governor agreed. Seth is a detective on the Miami police force and has arrived after his sister in law called and begged him to come and support Jakob.

There was a woman’s body found in her vehicle near a construction site and the police don’t believe they have enough evidence to identify the killer. The victim was an inspector in the local construction industry. The investigators have suggested the killer could be a man that she has worked with. He is one of the engineers and was seen arguing with the victim, even though they are known to be friends. Jakob doesn’t believe he is the killer. There is a state senator that is angry about Jakob’s being selected as the interim AG and is secretly planning to have his person be given the AG position instead. He is also pushing for an arrest even though there isn’t the convicting evidence needed. Seth immediately contacted the police detective on the case and has been working with her to find the killer and look into other things going on in the companies involved. They discover potential bid fixing and other improprieties in the companies records.

The book also includes many interactions between the brothers and Jakob’s wife. It is apparent that Seth has secrets about his personal and professional life back in Miami. The author has done an excellent job with the character development. All are likable and genuine. It was interesting to see about the political aspects of the AG and police detectives. The mystery was well laid out by the author and there were several characters who could have been guilty of the murder. The brothers systematically reviewed the evidence and pulled in help for areas they were weak in. The book was very suspenseful with lots of twists that made an exciting and interesting book. This is a five star book I’m happy to recommend.

I was fortunate to receive this ARC from Tule Publishing Company in exchange for my honest review.

Captivating start to this new, legal mystery series from one of my favorite authors.

Also? She had me at Indianapolis...

Jakob and Seth Rizk are twins shaped by a shared childhood tragedy that led them into different career directions: Jakob into law, and Seth into upholding/stretching it. As Jakob is thrust into the position of interim State Attorney General after a sudden and unexpected vacancy, his brother, Seth, flies up from Florida to support and assist with an ongoing murder investigation that the state's political big dogs are wanting dealt with quickly. But will expediency cause the indictment of the wrong person of interest?

A fast-paced mystery with thoroughly enjoyable characters, engaging plot, and the right mix of seriousness and levity to keep readers flying through the pages to find out who the real killer is. Fans of her De La Cruz series will enjoy being back in the world of homicide detectives trying to find balance between investigations and family life, with the added angle/complication of having a twin brother at the top of the state's legal system.

The book ends with the perfect collection of hooks to keep readers coming back for book two in the series. Will Jakob become Indiana's next Attorney General? Will Seth's past pull him back to Florida for good? Will Jessica Hartley ever get her office door back?? I can't wait to find out.

I received an ARC through "Booksprout" and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

The story begins with Jakob being named interim State AG by the Indiana Governor. It happens at the same time that there was a murder of a member of high placed family who was pushing a State Senator to seek the arrest of the likely suspect. The issue was that the Detective was concerned that there was not enough evidence for prosecution. The senator was putting pressure on one the AG staff to get it done.

Jakob's brother had come to be there for his brother due to the death of Harrison Stanley, the AG, friend and mentor for Jakob. Seth becomes involved in the investigation of the murder and soon realizes that there is more involved that was responsible for the killing that previously known. Follow along as the brothers along with Martinez, the detective, pursue the killer and also reveal a situation that has been going on for a few years.

The story is well done and it is well worth the read, don't miss out!

I enjoyed this murder mystery featuring interesting characters. Twin brothers work on the case and their relationship brings a little levity to the book. While Jakob, interim Attorney General, is systematic in working on uncovering the murderer, his brother Seth is a loose canon. He has some unusual techniques that will ultimately help solve the case if it doesn't get Jakob fired first. There is lots of political pressure on Jakob and we get some insights into the politics involved. Wolff provides a good balance of Jakob's personal life and AG work.

Wolff is a word smith and I like her clever writing. Here is an example, “...the woman was five foot five, six-two if you counted the attitude.” (loc 521/3041) I recommend this murder mystery. It has a good plot, interesting characters and clever writing. It is the first in a new series so I will be watching for the sequel.

I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.

“Murder on Site” by TG Wolff is an engaging and cleverly constructed mystery that kept me turning pages from the start. The setting—rooted in the high‑stakes world of construction projects—feels refreshingly different from the average crime novel, and the technical details add a layer of authenticity without ever becoming overwhelming. The protagonist is sharp, determined, and easy to root for, and I appreciated how Wolff balances personal stakes with a well-paced investigation.

The plot unfolds methodically, offering plenty of clues and red herrings, and while I guessed a few twists early, the ultimate resolution was still satisfying. The dialogue occasionally feels a bit dense, but the strong character dynamics make up for it.

Overall, Murder on Site is a solid, thoughtful mystery with a unique voice—perfect for readers who enjoy puzzles grounded in real-world complexity.

Murder on Site ~The Rizk Brothers Legal Mysteries #1 by T.G. Wolff

Murder on Site is a great start to a new series by T.G. Wolff. The story introduces the Rizk brothers—twins with very different careers. Seth is a cop in Miami, while Jakob serves as Indiana’s acting attorney general.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between the two brothers. Their dynamic adds both depth and humour to the story, especially during Seth’s first meeting, where the confusion among the staff creates an entertaining and memorable moment.

The book strikes the right balance of intrigue and suspense that you want in a good mystery. It keeps you engaged while building a solid foundation for the series.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to mystery fans. It’s a promising beginning, and I’m looking forward to seeing where the series goes next.

A legal mystery, Murder On Site (2026) by T. G. Wolff, is set in the Attorney General’s office in Indiana. Upon the unexpected death of his mentor, Jakob Rizk becomes the acting attorney general. His twin brother, Seth, a police detective in Miami, comes to assist him as a special investigator. The death of a project inspector at a bridge construction site, sets off a broader investigation into Marion County's tendering system. Alternatively narrated by the twin brothers, the looming election of the Attorney General, the lives of the brothers and the murder investigated are revealed. The first in a promising Ritzk Brothers legal mystery series, with its interesting characters, makes for an enjoyable three and a half star read rating. Although I received an ARC in exchange for an independent review, the opinions herein are totally my own and freely given without obligation.

I really liked this story from this new to me author; great personable characters (although there were MANY) and an interesting mystery. I loved the interpersonal dynamics between the brothers, Jakob and Seth, as well as with Jakob’s wife, Courtney. I really hope to find out more about Seth since the author dropped some intriguing morsels of information about his back story. The only hiccup for me were 2 glaring editing errors that will hopefully be addressed before final print. I have added this author on my auto-click list!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The twist and turns, threads tying everyone together was beautifully written. The dynamic of the twins, Jakob and Seth along with Jakobs wife Courtney was very entertaining. As the plot thickens, more secrets unturned, I still was thinking the killer was someone else. It wasn’t until the final chapters that I could see what was so perfectly clear once the final pieces were put together. This was a page turner that had me picking it up every chance I got. I look forward to other books by Wolff as I enjoyed the writing style in this mystery. I highly recommend this book if you’re into whodunit books.

MURDER ON SITE by TG Wolff
Release date February 23, 2026

I really enjoyed this read. Absolutely loved the interaction between the brothers Seth and Jakob.

This was a very fast-paced mystery and I was brought in from the first page! I love that Seth and Jakob we’re twins, but so very different. I also loved Courtney. Jakob’s wife she brought a lot to the story. She knew how to make these brothers work together. Keep each other safe.
This is a five star read for me if I had anything negative to say it would’ve been a lot of characters.

When Inspector Lucy Torok is murdered and dumped at a construction site, the case quickly becomes complicated legally, politically, and personally. Newly appointed interim Attorney General Jakob Rizk is tasked with prosecuting the case, and his twin brother Seth flies in to help. From there, the story weaves through dirty politics, competing construction companies, and a young engineer who appears to be framed, all while keeping the focus on character and momentum rather than getting bogged down in technical detail.

The real hook for me was the dynamic between the twins. Jakob is serious and academic, while Seth brings humor and mischief, and their interactions added warmth and levity to an otherwise serious story. While this isn’t a thriller, I had a hard time putting it down. Wolff balances legal intrigue, police work, and political maneuvering without overwhelming the reader, keeping the twists coming and the pages turning. The Indianapolis setting gave the story a solid mid-sized city feel which was important to the plot without overshadowing it.

Content-wise, the book includes the sudden death of a close friend and a suicide attempt by the accused engineer. These moments were handled thoughtfully and realistically, without unnecessary drama. The characters felt fully developed and familiar very quickly, from Jakob navigating his new role, to Seth hiding his own problems to support his brother, to the sharp and capable detectives and the less admirable political players. Based on my rating system, this earned 5 out of 5 stars. Any book that keeps me reading past my bedtime gets top marks. Readers who enjoy legal mysteries with strong characters and a touch more humor than a typical John Grisham novel should find this a great fit. I’ll definitely be reading more from TG Wolff and hope this turns into a series.
