Can love start from an act?
Fuma Kodaka is laser-focused on his acting roles to the point of ignoring anything that doesn’t have to do with his career. So when this stubborn actor has trouble getting into character for his role in a new TV show, he feels lost. Luckily for him, he bumps into Kanade Suou, a super-popular prince-like idol. Kanade is strikingly similar to Fuma’s next role, so in order to study Kanade’s sweet and sparkly mannerisms, Fuma asks him out on a whim. Surprisingly, the handsome idol readily agrees without any hesitation!
Having zero experience with relationships, Fuma soon finds himself swept away by Kanade’s overly romantic gestures. Does all this mean that Kaname actually likes Fuma, and that this romance that started as an act could actually become something real?!
You have a childhood actor and an idol already in a relationship at first, then it goes back to tell us how they came together. For me, this VERY much reminded me of another manga series At 25:00, in Akasaka, Volume 1 However, here, it felt like the relationship moved way too fast for the characters and certain things didn't always make sense. Why did the fans recognise Fuma-kun but not Kanade at the cafe? What gave Kanade the right to out Fuma-kun at the concert, without even discussing it with him first or giving any consideration as to how that might affect his career?
Overall, while the story was cute and had lots of potential, there were some issues.
