I tried to kill this vampire a year ago… and now I’m his captive.

Did I want to become a nymph? No.

But life doesn’t ask what you want. It throws you into supernatural chaos and watches what you do next.

I’ve been running ever since. Until the night I’m captured by the vampire I once seduced, betrayed, and left for dead.

Kayden Darrow is volatile. Gorgeous. Deadly. And he’s not the only problem.

His older brother Asher, an ex-military vampire with clear morals and cold eyes, is even less amused when I try to stake his brother. Again.

They should kill me. They don’t. I'm not used to kindness.

But I can’t tell them the truth. Not about what I am or what I know.

And especially not about the ancient, billionaire satyr hunting me across the country. Because my history with him is far messier than I can admit...

Savage Thirst, Book 1 in the Nymphs and Vampires trilogy, is a dark, addictive Why Choose paranormal romance, where the heroine will (eventually) end up with all four MMCs.

Tropes: Enemies-to-lovers (x3). One bed, two vampires. 'Good girl.' Runaway FMC. Big supernatural trouble in a small town.

Dayna Styles is a screenwriter and indie author. Once she discovered reverse harem romance, she was hooked. Because honestly, why choose? Her FMCs love being chased, and her MMCs are possessive, protective, and a little unhinged. It’s always sizzling, spicy, and deliciously naughty.

I read this one as part of a Special Edition Author hosting in my group, Midnight's Embrace
Thanks for hosting this one, Dayna! (hugs)

This is the first book to a 3 book trilogy. The 2nd book is already out and the 3rd is expected to be released in April 2026. These books are/will be on KU.. This book does end on a cliffy and I am told that the 2nd book will end on one as well.

Now, what I liked and didn't like about this tale- The small supernatural town/community that it takes place in. They are in Maine. I actually wanted to know more about the town than anything else, TBH. It was mysterious, kinda creepy, but beautiful. I could see the the trees and the gardens. The homes and smell the soil. So I liked this a lot..

The book is well written and the premise is interesting. All of the other secondary characters in this town I liked as well. The pacing does suffer a bit for me, between chapters 4-12.. After this, things seem to pick up faster for the story. Keep in mind though, you don't get any real answers or progress in this book. It is the first book so it's purely 80% set up-(though IMO, 40% of this, could have been used for a deeper establishment between the MCs), the remaining 20% is motion and some reveals.

Kayden Darrow- is the star of this book. Hands down. To me, he felt like the only main character that was fully fleshed out here. Where we get to actually see his personality. The type of being, good or bad, that he is. He's someone who does grow on you, but he had me at chap one.. He's a complicated onion and the more you pull his layers back, the more interesting he gets and the more you feel for him.. Sometimes you want to slap him. Other times you want to slap him then laugh at his antics. Then there are the times you just wanna sit on his.. Never mind 😂

Ewen Asher Darrow- Yes.. His name is hot. He's hot. He is the steadfast sexy, older sensible brother to his younger bro, Kayden.. But that's where my infatuation ends with him. I couldn't fully connect to him.. I think it is because more often than not, I am being told what type of male he is and not being allowed to see it unfold, the way that we see it with Kayden's character.

Sage-I cannot suffer fools.. I could not warm up to her. She annoyed me. Things that she made such huge deals about, were not that deep. The fact that we basically ended this book without her being fully honest with Kayden and Asher ticked me off. That her secret was revealed for her and not by her, and in a manner that wasn't really all that shocking of a hook; REALLY ticked me off.

Since Sage is the cornerstone of this story and you are in her head the most here, some of her actions didn't jive with me at all. If I can't fully sympathize with the one that I am supposed to have empathy for, who is the focus of the story, then that takes too much of what should be great here; away from me. Because of this I didn't connect with the union she's established with Kayden and Asher. Therefore their emotional/physical connections were not resonating with me. AT. ALL. Too many things (her truth reveals & their connections) I felt should have happened sooner than they did as well. If there is such a slow burn buildup of things, then I want to feel a true full blown explosion when it's time. That does not happen here for me. Ever.

Also, the last two chapters I kinda felt like I was in a professor lecture hall, when they were in Winston's tavern talking. I felt this time and these moments would have been better served for Sage actually coming clean, herself, about certain things that NEEDED to be said like forever ago.

So these are the Likes and Dis-Likes of this story, that led to a 3/5 star rating for me.

Would I recommend?=If you like this genre
Spice?=3.5
Plot/Plight?=3
MCs?=It's Complicated (One I love, One I like, One I can't stand)
Ending?=3

This was a good first book in this three book trilogy. I give this one 3.75 stars.

I like Asher and Kayden. These two vamps, I could see myself kicking back with. I enjoyed getting a little insight into this town that they are all residing in. It felt like the town itself is another character added into this story. The other supernaturals that reside there were very interesting to me as well. They add a bit of color to this dark gray, wet town. I also like the fact that as I was reading this story, it was as if I were watching it unfold rather than just reading it.

I do however have issues with the FMC, Sage. I feel as though she was not a good match for Asher and Kayden. A few fucks here and there sure, but that is all. She is a little too old to still be committing some of the actions and responses that we get here from her. There are things here that I have issue with, mainly the trust. She required much of it from everyone around her, and understandably so. My issue with Sage is that even when she sees time and again that Asher and Kayden can be trusted, she never gives them her trust or herself completely. Maybe I am projecting my personal issues with this, but it is what you see here with Sage and I do not like this.

I did enjoy all other aspects of this first book. It does make me curious about the second installment.

You did a good job, Dayna.

I found this to be very interesting. I knew going into this that I was going to like it. There's something about Ms. Styles writing that appeals to me. I love the town, and the secondary characters that live there. I think I want to live there, even if it would be creepy at times. The two main male characters Asher and Kayden are like two sides of the same coin. Alike but still uniquely different. I found them both very likable for several reasons. The female, Sage, I liked her well enough. I had some difficulty understanding her and her actions after a certain point in the book We'll see how she handles herself in book two. This is the first book of a trilogy, it does end with a cliffhanger but book two is out as well. At the time of this post both books were available on KU

Oh wow, this was a surprise hit for me! I didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as I did.

The vibes were such a throwback to the paranormal romances I used to be obsessed with in the 2008-2010 era and reading this felt nostalgic. Also the man (/vampire) that Asher is, whew! All the green flags! 🥹🥵

Although I read this via KU, this book is currently free (01/27/26) on Amazon so I ended up “purchasing” it as well. Cannot wait for the 2nd book to come out next month!

In this spicy, action packed romance you follow Sage, a nymph on the run. She is a former vampire hunter, now hiding from the group she once thought was the only place she could belong. When she is rescued by a vampire she once almost killed and his brother, her image of vampires start to change. Sage suddenly realizes she’s been told some lies, and that truth cuts through everything she’s ever known.

Savage Thirst was quick from the start, wasting no time throwing readers into the action. And the spice! Two vampires, both similar yet so different. Asher, who displays control and restraint. Kayden, who is a loose cannon and all predator. Both orbiting around Sage, it creates an interesting balance. It reminded me a bit of Vampire Diaries, if Elena picked Damon AND Stefan! I enjoyed the dynamic between them, even if I’m more Asher biased. I just wish we got to glimpse a bit more into Kayden’s softer side, he doesn’t drop his mask often.

There’s a bit of a cliffhanger, and I’m really looking forward to seeing where the story goes next. As this is a slow-build harem, I’m expecting more connections to form as Sage navigates the mess she’s in! I’m also excited to discover more about the world and uncover the paranormal lore in their society. As a reader, you’re learning along with Sage and that creates a bond with her character.

This is a great read for anyone looking for a fast paced, spicy, why choose romance with a paranormal twist. You could read this in one sitting, and you’ll certainly be drawn in by the Darrow brothers. Much like Sage was!

Savage Thirst is the 1st book in the Nymphs and Vampires Trilogy by Dayna Styles. This is a dark, addictive Why Choose paranormal romance, where the heroine will (eventually) end up with all four MMCs.

In Savage Thirst, an action-packed romance we follow Sage, a former vampire hunter and nymph who is on the run and is now hiding from the very group she once thought was her safe place, her home, her haven. But that’s no longer true. When Sage finds a vampire along with his brother rescuing her after nearly being killed and slowly her image of vampires begins to change. Sage suddenly beings to realize that she’s been told some very serious lies, and the truths that she’s learning cuts through everything that Sage has ever known.

I found Savage Thirst to be a quick read from the very beginning, wasting absolutely no time in throwing the readers into all the action this book holds. And oh, the spice. We have two vampires; they are so much alike and yet at the same time they are so very different.

Kayden: he’s this loose cannon who’s all predator who like his brother Asher orbits around Sage.

Asher: is the brother who displays complete and total control and restraint at all times. He tries his best to instill in his brother control and restraint but finds that he often fails.

Sage finds that both Kayden and Asher orbit around her and this actually creates a rather interesting balance. Honestly, I found it reminded me a lot of the dynamic between Damon, Stefan and Elena. They had a similar dynamic that I saw between Kayden, Asher, and Sage. The only thing I wish is that we could have gotten a chance to see Kayden’s softer side as he isn’t one to drop his mask all that often. Even Asher isn’t one to let you see behind his mask and he isn’t one to see the truth of who he really is behind that mask.

As this is a trilogy, I expected there to be a cliffhanger, thankfully this one wasn’t all that bad. I’m really expecting so much more connections from Sage as she navigates the disaster that she finds herself in. And I personally can’t wait to learn more about this world and discover the paranormal lore that’s burned into this society. And I love the way that Dayna allows us the readers learn right along with Sage and that helps to create a bond between us the reader and Sage.

If you are looking for a reverse-harem that has a slow-burn, then this is the book that you’ve been searching for. It’s a phenomenal read for anyone looking for a spicy romance that’s full of twists and turns. Honestly, I read this in one sitting and I am sure you could too, and I am sure you’ll be enthralled by the Darrow brothers, just like Sage was.

I highly recommend this phenomenal spicy paranormal read.

📚✨ Savage Thirst by Dayna Styles
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️

HANDS. DOWN. I LOVED. THIS. BOOK.

First of all — Kayden??? Immediately added to my book boyfriend list. No hesitation. No notes. Just mine.

A why choose with TWO vampire boyfriends??? Yeah, where do I sign and do I need to bring anything besides my heart and sanity to sacrifice???

This story had me hooked from the first page. The tension? Immaculate. The slow, delicious build-up to the romance? Chef’s kiss. You could feel the pull between them, the longing, the heat simmering just under the surface. When it finally unfolds, it feels earned — and that makes it hit so much harder.

And as someone who has always been a total nerd for paranormal and mystical beings, this book fed my soul. We get creatures that I feel like I NEVER see represented, and it made the world feel fresh and exciting instead of the same recycled lore. It scratched that old-school paranormal obsession itch in the best way.

But what really sold me? The relationship dynamics. This wasn’t just spicy for the sake of it. The connection between them felt genuine, intense, and balanced. The emotional layers added depth to all that delicious vampire chaos.

Reading Mood: FERAL for vampires, emotionally attached, ready to volunteer as tribute 🖤🩸

This book is spicy and action-packed, with strong, immersive worldbuilding. The FMC, Sage, is a newly turned nymph still discovering her abilities—and a former vampire hunter. The MMCs, brothers Kayden and Asher, are vampires who couldn’t be more different from each other. Their push-and-pull dynamic with Sage creates tension and intrigue, delivering classic love-triangle energy with a why-choose twist.

The story ends on a mild cliffhanger, paving the way for deeper romance, stronger bonds, and expanded worldbuilding. Readers uncover the paranormal lore alongside Sage, making her journey feel immersive and personal.

Perfect for fans of fast-paced, steamy, why-choose romance with a paranormal edge, this is a quick, addictive read that will leave you eager for more. This was my first book by this author, and I can confidently say I’m a fan. She’s become an auto-buy author for me.

Heated romance with a bite!

Who says vampires can't feel? Sage is a nymph who has been led to believe in a lot of things, but she's coming to learn that not all of them were true. Sometimes in life, people have ulterior motives. When she finally opens her eyes to this, she decides to run. Ending up with the very ones that she's always believed to be some of the most dangerous in existence - vampires. As she grows closer to Kayden and then his brother Asher, will her beliefs change? Can she really care for these two men, and can they find it in themselves to care for her in return? An amazing story that I have really enjoyed reading, and I can't wait to read the second book!

This is the first book in the Nymphs and Vampires trilogy. This was my first introduction to Dayna Styles. And I can guarantee it will not be the last.
I really enjoyed this book. The story was incredible and I could not get enough of it. This nymph has gotten in way over her head with these MMcs. I love the story, the nymph and the smexy vampire brothers. I am not sure which one I would choose…the slightly unhinged one or the one with “daddy vibes.” Good thing you don’t have to choose!!
Thank you, Dayna Styles, for this incredible story. I love this story and I cannot wait to see what happens next in the second book. Another author to add to my favorites!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 - Stars
🌶🌶🌶🌶 - Spice

This book had everything I first loved about paranormal romance. I enjoyed everything about Sage, Kayden, and Asher.

Sage is a fierce FMC who can hold her own with Kayden. Although she was guarded around Kayden and Asher, she was able to bring her walls down when she felt they weren't using her for what she was.

Kayden is the vampire bad boy who doesn't forget when someone's done him wrong and will get even with them. Asher is quiet, calculating, and protective when it comes to people he cares about.

It's a coincidence that Sage and Kayden meet again, and this time, it's Kayden saving Sage.

Just when I thought that there couldn‘t be more epic LI than Kayden, in the end Darius shows up and daaaamn.... I must admit I am absolutely excited to hear more about him in the next book 😩😍

This was such a fun read. I got Vampire Diaries vibes from both Asher and Kayden. I loved how different the 2 brothers are. Kayden is darkness and impulsive while Asher is controlled but when he’s in control watch out!

I ate this book up.. needing to learn why Sage was on the run after she left Kayden for dead a year prior.. the chemistry between the 3 was sinful in the best ways. I’m immediately picking up book 2 because that ending - I gotta know more

The beginning of the book alone is already captivating. Let me tell you, Dayna Styles did it again! I loved the story, couldn't put it down and suddenly it ended! Mean, mean Dayna! 🤣 Such a bad cliff hanger!
I'm so curious how those big problems will be resolved, Darius the satyr is unbelievably strong...
Did I make you curious? Start reading and you'll know what I mean!
