This text is great for an overview of a lot of topics in child development, but it leaves out a lot of of deeper modern research particularly within the biological lens and needs updated gender identity information.

It was fine for a textbook. 📖 I actually really did like this class though.

A pretty shoddy textbook. Not terribly scientific. A lot of unsupported b.s. The professor admitted this book is not the best and is often wrong. He chose it because it is simple, and he wanted us to focus more on his lectures. Definitely don't recommend this one.

I read the entire thing from cover to cover and really enjoyed it. Provided me a really great foundation for working with children and families. I appreciate the fact that one can access the textbook’s supplemental learning tools for free via the web.
