This may not necessarily be a 5 star but I have read so many BAD books over the last couple weeks that I found myself jumping up and down with this one. I would definitely read more Stephanie Kane.

Overall good start see if the next book is better! Not a surprise twist as I hoped. Very encouraging start.

Throughout the entire novel, I waffled back and forth as to who the murderer was: Aaron - the man accused and on trial for the murder of Mrs. Rae; Mark - Aaron's older brother who seemed just a tad off kilter and had a knack of showing up in the strangest places or at the strangest times; Richard (a name I hate) - the psychologist who usually gives testimony for the prosecution or DA and who seems a little too knowledgable.
The ride that this book took me on was thrilling and resembled a roller coaster with it's ups and downs and twists and turns. Never a dull moment, this book would be good for anyone who enjoys a suspenseful thriller with an ample amount of legality thrown in. I'd love to read more by Kane to see what this wonderful lawyer and her "family" get up to next.

I couldn't put it done and never guessed the ending!

I was mesmerized by the excellent writing, the character development and the tightly written plot. I always guess the murder but this one took me by surprise !
