Tagging Mackenzie
Achieving a Dom’s undivided attention can have unpredictable consequences.
Steele Denton’s business doing custom paint jobs for fast bikes is booming. He’s in demand and has a reputation for being a perfectionist. Tattooed and intimidating, Steele is also in demand as a Dom at his local BDSM club, Chain of Thorns. He requires perfect submission from any sub he deigns to play with.
Mackenzie Soames is desperate for Steele to notice him, but he might as well be invisible. I was not surprised, in the least, that one of my favorite authors wrote me a bratty sub. This author has a great deal of practice with bratty submissives, particularly ones who go out of their way to, well…get their way. *grins*
Ah Kenzie. Bratty, mouthy, very easily distracted, and a secret tagger. I adored him immediately. Especially when he decides to tag the brick wall outside of Steele's business with a BDSM themed biker image. Too bad he gets caught. Or maybe not, since he has been dying for Steele's attention. What Kenzie doesn’t know is that he'd caught the powerful Doms eye, but Steele was concerned that Kenzie wasn't strong enough to play with him. They're both about to get their worlds rocked. In twenty-four hours, no less.
“Do you not like the idea of being subjected to sexual slavery for twenty-four hours?”
Steele raised an eyebrow. From the way Kenzie was shifting from foot to foot, Steele guessed his erection was causing him some trouble.
An extremely hot addition to this anthology, the author gave me everything I needed, and then some.

Mackenzie has been pining for Steele from afar at the local BDSM club. He feels that Steele doesn’t know he exists and takes matter into his own hands to get his attention. Steele has noticed Mackenzie, but was afraid that he would be too harsh for him has stayed away.
Seeing both of the characters points of view helps to understand their feelings, Mackenzie feels invisible while Steele feels overwhelmed with his business. When Steele catches Mackenzie he knows that the time has come for him to claim his sub even if Mackenzie doesn’t know it yet. This story gives a small glimpse into what Mackenzie and Steele’s relationship could be and the end leaves it open for their relationship to continue.
The cover art is nice and catches your eye.

Super short but really good. Good lord, I so wanted this book to be longer! Hot guy who paints bikes…check, tattoos…..check, Dom…..check. Then you have the invisible Mackenzie who is about to give up and takes one last desperate chance to snag the man of his dreams. Holy hotness, I needed 200 more pages of all this goodness!

This is a short story which packs a lot into a short time frame. Cleverly by allowing us to meet both men in a local BDSM club, and giving us insight into their opinions - even though neither has told the other - we can roll with the action later.
The scene which is set up is definitely testing, and I am sure most readers, like me, will wish that there was more. Luckily my imagination was happy to add to the story itself!
Very enjoyable morsel of hotness, thank you Ms Somerton.

Steel has always wanted the rebellious Sub. He was just waiting for the right time to claim him. Now that Mackenzie has made himself clear Steel will show him what true submission means.
This one is short but really sweet story. I liked the BDSM to this one, added that extra layer to make the story more emotionally charged. A lot can happen in 24 hours and Steel will show Mackenzie just what he can offer.

Cute setup. Last sex scene lacked buildup and leveled out at low intensity - very disappointing. No explanation for Dom's reason for instant collaring. Kudos for creativity.

I am it usually a fan of BDSM but I actually rather enjoyed this one. It was jot as heavy and harsh as I was expecting. A nice little storyline with great characters and romance and steam, very enjoyable

Book: Tagging Mackenzie

Hot! That is the first word I think of when I think of this book. I love the BDSM stories and this one was truly awesome but WAY too short for my liking!
Steele Denton is hot, covered in tattoos, is in demand for his painting skills on bikes as much as for his Dom skills at Chain of Thorns. Mackenzie Soames is a submissive who is hung up hardcore on Steele who doesn’t seem to know Kenzie even exists but he is also well known for his tag on his street painting skills.
Part of the too short part of my previous statement was because the story and characters could've used more fleshing out than was given in this short story. We don’t get enough backstory or time to grow that reader/character connection which I find is the only problem with the story. That doesn’t mean for a short story is wasn’t developed enough to be great because it was but as a reader I wish for more since I did love the story and its potential if it was longer.
I would definitely recommend this story and will be checking out more of this author's work. I will also live in hope that LM will someday take this story back and edit to make it a full length story that I am sure I would devour in one go!

This was such a good story. I adored Mackenzie and Steele. Mackenzie was a total sweetheart. You could feel his discontent by not having the guiding hand he needed and then the way he settled into his skin after being with Steele. I really liked Steele and how he was very concerned for Mackenzie’s safety and wellbeing no matter what. I was slightly confused why he never gave Mackenzie the time of day before he caught Mackenzie tagging the building. Ultimately it wasn’t a huge concern for the story. I adored the happy for now ending for these two. I really want to see more of them and some of the other characters that are quickly introduced in the beginning of the story. It’s been a while since I read a story by Ms. Somerton and I’m glad I got a chance to read this one so I could remind myself how much I adore her books.

Please note the use of a frame set-up for holding bikes whilst they're being painted, is made mouth-watering use of by Steele tying Kenzie to it and doing naughty things. Great fun.

3.5 stars from me for this extremely short read [12% to 88% on my kindle]. Wouldn't say no to it being expanded into a full story either, the bare bones are there.
