This book was made for romance readers who love soft, sweet, and meaningful love stories.

At its heart, this is a story about a woman who has had her heart broken one too many times. After disappointment after disappointment, she's given up on love and relationships altogether. Instead of jumping into another romance, she decides to do some soul-searching by reaching out to her ex-boyfriends and asking them the hard questions about why their relationships failed.

I absolutely loved this premise because it felt so unique and surprisingly relatable. Watching her unpack her past, confront old wounds, and learn more about herself was both emotional and inspiring.

What makes this story so special is that it isn't just about finding love—it's about understanding yourself and healing from the scars left behind by previous relationships. There were so many moments that felt meaningful and insightful. I don't normally take relationship advice from fictional characters, but this book had me reflecting on my own perspectives about love and vulnerability.

The romance itself was beautiful. If you love:
✨ He falls first and harder
✨ Plus-size FMC
✨ Second chance at love
✨ The one that got away
✨ Emotional healing
✨ Humor mixed with heartfelt moments

"Ain't no penis worth your peace, not a stroke worth your stride, not a cunniligus worth your nearly paid off rehabbed Victorian!" - Ebony Jones

Ebony and Malcolm...this was one of the best, funniest, amazing stories I've read this year. The Holiday Sisters are a mess and Ebony revisiting her past loves to find, "where she went wrong" was both enlightening and self reflective. This was so funny I was up at 1 this morning cackling like 6am wasn't coming! Malcolm, that was some man!! I really want to see Joy, Pumpkin, January and Faith find love, especially Joy because she went through it. Plus I really need to see what's up with our favorite restaurant owner who's vibes did not lie. I'm hoping Ms. Clarke revisits this family! Happy Reading Y'all!💋

I was able to get an ARC for this amazing book and I’m so glad to be in the number. This book was deep but the banter was on point and the comedy was top tier. I thought about my dating past life and if I could interview my exs lovers what they would say about me. And ya know what, I’m good not knowing. Idk how Ebony didn’t end up with a case with the audacity that some of her exs had. But I loved the book from beginning to end.

One of my new favorites!
S*XY and HILARIOUS!
Ebony wants answers to why her love-life/past relationships went how it did/does. Many women have fallen for the gray sweatpants of the "Hobo-s*xual", but is Ebony really the common denominator?
After her pod rant/viral video, what she needs to know is, why does she always pick "that man"? The sisters, (you'll love them) come up with an idea, do a documentary with all of the men that she's dated and ask them what went wrong.
Malcom met Ebony on a vacation and they, , ,well, ,Bow-Chicka-Wow-WOWED, then she blocked him. Well that was probably his doing so he jumps at the chance to work with, follow and video shoot "vacation Ebony" because he never should have done things the way he did. And no matter how loudly she says no, the idea seems to grow wings and take on a life of its own.
But what if the answers they're both looking for are right beside them?
Ebony and Malcom's interactions are heartfelt, thought invoking, steamy and along with all of the side characters will have you in stitches! There are a few things from this book that every woman should know but some don't. I promise that you'll laugh from the beginning to end and your heart will break, come back together and then melt. Take life by the horns and if it gives you trouble?
Throat punch it baby!
This review is my opinion and is not AI generated.

Thank you Terreece M Clarke for the opportunity to review this ARC. This is my honest opinion.

5 stars & all the feels! This is a great book for a group of friends or a bookclub to read. You will laugh, get a little misty, roll your eyes, and swoon a lot!

Ebony Jones, like many women, has kissed her last frog and decided something needs to change. She decides to revisit her past relationships to find out what to do differently. As a journalist, she knows how to tell a story, so she pairs with Malcolm, a photojournalist, to bring this adventure to the masses. Ebony and Malcolm have their own pasts to reconcile. Neither knows if this will be a professional win or a personal fail.

I enjoyed the format of this book with the dual POV and the social media commentary along the way. It also dropped a lot of gems that many women will relate to. Malcolm is a MAN! An emotionally-intelligent, protective, fine AF, freaky AF man! I hope everyone finds their Malcolm. Also, there's strong and loving family support in this story. There are strong supporting characters in this story giving the comic relief and yelling all the things you want to say to get everyone all the way together. This is a well-balanced rom-com with mature, established adults. I highly recommend it

The Six Loves of Ebony Jones was hilarious, inspiring, and beautifully written from beginning to end! I finished it in record time. Who knew one drunk rant going viral would set her on a journey of self-discovery and healing that would change her life in the best way. Although it's a work of fiction, many aspects of this book resonated with me and I'm sure many others who've had relationships that didn't work out and experienced the emotional toll it can take. Each love Ebony revisited helped her gain perspective and grow. My favorite was definitely the almost forever love. (I learned he got his own happily ever after in another book, so I'll definitely be picking that up.) Now Malcolm....OMG I love him so much. He was by her side, supporting her and silenting falling in love with her throughout the journey. He's loyal, sweet, thoughtful, kind, down for whatever brand of crazy that came Ebony's way, and so much more. He was absolutely the calm to her storm. The secondary characters, Ebony's cousins, a.k.a the Holiday Sisters, brought a lot to the plot as well. I would love to read their happily ever afters as well. Overall, I'd highly recommend this book and can't wait to read more from Terreece M. Clarke.

A little introspection

Terreece M. Clarke is so good at writing witty dialogue. This book is so entertaining; Ebony's dialogue during her dates was really funny, and I loved her self reflection and genuine interest in bettering herself so she didn't keep up her cycle of overextending her love and holding on to relationships that no longer served her. Ebony also worked my nerves a bit while reading this. I found her inability to open her mouth and say what the situation was with Malcom very frustrating; it felt like Malcom was always putting forth more effort than she was and, honestly, it felt like he deserved better at that point.

I love all things Terreece M. Clarke, and this does not disappoint!! Ebony Jones is a journalist. She is going over her past loves, and trying to fix her love life. Can the answer to her future be found in the past?? She is going to meet these men face to face, have the conversations taped; and photographed. These will be posted online, as part of her journalist series. Will this help her love life? Love the plot, great settings, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Terreece M. Clarke!!!

From the very first chapter, I knew Ebony was going to be an entertaining, chaotic, and utterly likable work in progress. Turning her investigative journalism skills on her own past love life is pure genius and watching her track down her exes from the "safe love" to the "one that wrecked her". The story is as funny as it is vulnerable. Seeing a proudly plus-sized heroine take up space and refuse to settle for any "stroke not worth her stride" is incredibly refreshing.

Very cute and perfect for anyone looking for humor, personal growth, and family dynamics with their romance. The Six Loves of Ebony Jones by Terreece M. Clarke is a feel good type of romance with a high spice level. It shows love takes growth and repairing your brokenness so you don’t transfer that pain to another. It’s a great read if you want to reflect on past relationships with a laugh. And now I will never look at puzzles the same Lol!

Beautiful. Funny. Introspective.

The part of this book that sits with me the most is how we all transitioned from being FULLY ENTERTAINED to still entertained but also getting hit close to home. Though all of us haven’t experienced a love life as…colorful… as Ebony’s, there are multiple pieces of her story, her journey, and/or her realizations that we can relate to. The ending felt a bit abrupt but didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of the book.

Funny, Sexy, Insightful

This was such a great read! It made me laugh and think in addition to being a sexy heartwarming romance. Mal was the perfect mix of all things I love in a top-tier MMC: nasty, nerdy, kind, masculine without misogyny, talented, and did I mention nasty lol. This book will resonate with Black women from large overly connected families. Highly recommending this one!

Omgosh, this was so much fun. Absolutely hilarious. I fell in love with Ebony. I think she needs to open an agency and apply her skills to all of us that have failed miserably in the love department lol. And her girls, I was dead on laughing. Everyone needs girls like that. I laughed, and had the best time with this story. It’s an absolute must read. Toss this on your TBR

I found this book very enjoyable. The concept was different going back in time and speaking to your exes. It’s requires maturity and growth that’s shown. If you like mature adults and not 20 something year olds. Meaning mid 30s to 40s who have experienced life and death and illness and adversity check this book out.

To the unforeseen...

This was my first read by this author. I read it in one sitting. It shocked me because I'm not a "slow-burn" reader, but Mal & Ebee kept me enthralled. I wanted to give her a skippity pap a few times but I got my HEA!
