Rate this book
Anastasia has spent her entire life ignoring the darkness that haunts her every night. No matter where she goes, it follows. Like a shadow. Always there, lurking, watching, but never engaging.
Until the day it finally does, and Anastasia’s whole world is suddenly flipped upside down.
So, what happens when she is forcefully thrown into the Underworld, a place she thought was pure mythology, or when she is saved by a moody, Greek god who ends up being her brand new, yet handsome, prison?
Secrets and lies.
Fate and choice.
Everything she knows is being challenged, even her own identity and the people she trusted the most.
But soon enough, she will find out that, sometimes, you have to live the nightmare to catch the dream.

What would you do if a monster lived under your bed and watched you? Personally, I would have moved out immediately. Anastasia, however, didn’t. She stayed in that house, constantly feeling the creature's eyes on her. One day, she decided to speak to it, and as a result, she was transported to an unknown world. There, she met someone who helped her and informed her that she was in the Underworld, introducing himself as Morpheus, the God of Dreams.

First of all, I’ll start by saying that I love Greek mythology, and Morpheus is one of my favorite gods. So, when I learned that this book combined these two elements, I just had to get it.

Margarita’s descriptions are so vivid that if you have a bit of a wild imagination, you can actually see what she describes right in front of you. I certainly did.

Moving on to the two protagonists, I have to say I loved their chemistry. Their relationship is full of tension from the very first moment, from their first meeting. This made me anxious to see how their acquaintance would evolve. There were some intense moments filled with heavy stares and unspoken words that made me want to throw the book at the wall or scream at the characters. What I missed was Morpheus's perspective; I would have liked some chapters from his point of view. There were moments when I really wanted to see things from his side.

Advice: When you read chapter 35, you might want to have some water nearby! 🔥

The verdict? It was a very good book, which, by the way, is the author's debut. I recommend it blindly and I can’t wait for the next one.

If you enjoyed A Touch of Darkness, you will probably like this small-town version of it. It feels like an introduction to the lore of the story and the character dynamics and I hope to see more action in the second one.

I enjoyed the romance; it serves as an escape into a perfect love, while also reminding us that most people have their own tragedies in their backstory that they must overcome. In that sense it is empowering. I could very well connect with my namesake. She reminded me of Clair in the Mortal Instruments the way she’s thrown in a new reality that has always been hers. In fact, the novel could very well be described as City of Bones meets A touch of Darkness.

There are certainly points that could be improved upon in a revised edition, but it’s a debut novel, and a first attempt at writing from a young author that’s trying to find her place in romantasy. I would have wanted more action, more challenges that Morpheus and Anastasia would have to face together, while the novel focused on the emotional and psychological adjustments they both had to make. Also I would have liked to read real time a few more events than have them narrated by Anastasia.
There are a lot of things the story left to be expanded upon that we could see happen in the second book and I can’t wait to spread where the author will go with them.

ARC Review

Fated Dreams by Margarita Psallida is a beautifully dreamy introduction to a world where mythology bleeds into reality and fate refuses to stay quiet.

Anastasia has lived her entire life haunted by a darkness that never leaves her side—watching, waiting, never touching. Until one moment changes everything and she is violently thrown into the Underworld, a place she believed existed only in myths. What follows is a story steeped in secrets, fate versus free will, and the slow unraveling of identity.

One of the strongest elements of this book is how effortlessly Greek mythology is woven into the narrative. It never feels forced or overly explained; it simply exists, making the world feel immersive and natural. The Underworld itself feels alive—moody, dangerous, and intoxicating.

I especially loved the relationship dynamic between the FMC and the MMC. The moody Greek god, the tension, and the surprisingly tender nicknames added warmth and charm to the darker tones of the story.
I also adored the relationship with her best friends(they made me giggle so many times while reading!)

This book feels like a dream you don’t want to wake up from—soft around the edges, dark at its core, and full of promise. The ending left me eager for what’s coming next, and I can’t wait to see where this story goes.

Highly recommended for readers who love mythology, dreamy atmospheres, and slow-burn tension.

What a dreamy book!
I was lost from the first moments in the pages and the world. The details and descriptions made me feel like part of the story, living every experience along with Anastasia. There were moments were I got goosebumps, moments I cried, moments I laughed and moments were I was fan-girling and kicking my feet.
Anastasia is such a strong female lead, the strength not striping her away from her empathetic nature and femininity. She is the definition of overcoming the most bleak and hopeless situations.
Now...The male main character...Oof! Dreamy is an understatement. The definition of what a man should be.
The tension between them and the banter and their connection had me giggling, crying and wishing I could have something like that in my life.
Greek mythology is integrated into the story, effortlessly following the plot and uncovering secrets and lies (while also providing hints).
It is just an otherworldly experience. Dark, moody and dreamy and heavenly at the same time.
I loved the characters, it is very hard saying goodbye to them right now. But I can't wait to see what else Margarita has in store for us.💗✨️🌌

A mesmerizing dream you won't want to wake up from.
Fated Dreams by Margarita Psallida is a beautifully dreamy introduction to a world where mythology bleeds into reality and fate refuses to stay quiet. I am someone who usually loves dark, weird stories, but every now and then, I want a story that feels like a fairytale a dream like journey that travels to other worldsand this is exactly that.
The story follows Anastasia, who has spent her entire life haunted by a darkness that never leaves her side. When she is suddenly thrown into the Underworld, a place she thought was pure myth, her whole world flips upside down. What follows is a story steeped in secrets, fate versus free will, and the slow unraveling of identity.

Greek mythology is woven in so effortlessly. It never feels forced; it just is. The Underworld feels alive, moody, dangerous, and intoxicating and the author manages to respect the original myths without changing them, which is so unique.
The connection between the Anastasia and our Man is everything. You get the moody Greek god, the tension and the banter that was to nuch
Hades as an antagonist was a total delight, sassy, sharp, and perfectly written.
I didn’t expect to love it this much, but sometimes the "simple" stories are the ones that blow you away and make you have the most fun. This is a debut release with so much potential to expand into a vast realm. It has its own unique voice, and I highly recommend giving this author a chance.
If you want a romantasy full of stakes, love, yearning, and authentic mythology, this is for you. It’s soft around the edges, dark at its core, and full of promise. I’m already eager for the next book!
