LONG AGO, to win a war, Lady Death Cursed the Aelfae, fairest and wisest of the faeries…. But all magic has a price. The same Curse that destroyed the Aelfae now threatens all of Faearth. One young woman and the warrior she loves must fight the Curse to prove which is stronger…love or death.
THE BONE WHISTLER
They call him the Silver-Tongued Singer because all who have heard his song have fallen under the sway of his spell.
He swayed the Maze Zavaedi.
He swayed the Henchman of the Black Lady.
He swayed Finnadro.
He swayed Svarr and Kia.
Whole tribes and fae, humans, and the undead have danced to his tune.
And now he is a prisoner of Dindi… he is powerless to do anything except whisper into her ear, strange, dark, yet eerily enticing words…
THE BONE FLUTE
Dindi has taken the Bone Whistler as a prisoner. She also has the Bone Flute. But she doesn’t know how to use it.
Tara Maya has lived in Africa, Europe and Asia. She's pounded sorghum with mortar and pestle in a little clay village where the jungle meets the desert, meditated in a Buddhist monastery in the Himalayas and sailed the Volga river to a secret city that was once the heart of the Soviet space program. This first-hand experience, as well as research into the strange and piquant histories of lost civilizations, inspires her writing. Her terrible housekeeping, however, is entirely the fault of pixies.
