Wrapped in Their Arms: A Spicy MFM Kindred novel (Kindred Times Two

Rate this book
Two warriors, one woman, and a destiny too hot to deny. Christmas just got a whole lot spicier.
*This is a PLUS-length novel--over 100,000 words long

Two warriors are desperate to mend their souls--they just need the perfect woman to help them heal.
Twin Kindred Burns Hot and Shines Bright are inseparable—not only are they best friends, but each has lost the sibling half of their natural pair-bond. Haunted by grief, they are determined to forge the rare, coveted Twin-Bond together even though they aren't brothers, and finally call a shared bride to complete their fractured existence.

They find her on the Mother Noelle. A captivating, curvy, mature woman running from a desperate past, she’s there to lecture on various Earth holidays. But when she agrees to accompany them to Therim Five to fulfill a prophecy—one that promises to fuse their bond and bring her into their lives forever—the stakes become lethally high.

Noelle is over 40 and running from a cruel ex. She expected holiday cheer when she planned to spend Christmas on the Kindred Mother Ship. Instead, she got two fiercely possessive alien warriors who long to form a bond with each other...and with her. But as their journey ignites a desire she never imagined, their path is violently derailed. Captured by galactic pirates, all bets are off.

Now, trapped in the darkest corners of the galaxy, the three of them must fight as one. Burns Hot and Shines Bright will have to prove they are worth risking everything for—or lose their chance at the Twin-Bond, their destiny, and the woman who belongs to both of them.

**Author’s Note—since Burn and Bright are NOT related, there is a bit of sword crossing in this plus-length novel. (In other words, there is a tiny bit of MM action in this mostly MFM book.) If that’s not for you, please don’t buy.
Thanks! Evangeline

Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci-fi erotica steadily ever since.

Made it all the way to page 398, I think, before DNFing. I really, really hate when authors put their own politics into their books. I read these books to GET AWAY from all that, so when I see something blatantly political it turns me off immediately - regardless of which "side" of the aisle they're referencing. In the very beginning of this book, one of the villains bore a suspicous resemblance to a certain sitting president, which was bad enough. But then toward the end, she decided to introduce yet another villain that was so obviously a commentary on a specific governmental agency that has been in the news lately. Don't get me wrong, the author is entitled to her opinions but if I wanted to consume political commentary I would turn on a cable news channel. This wasn't the first time she did this, either. I remember a previous novel where the author made a certain sitting president the villain again (this was during said sitting president's first term) and literally killed him off. I mean, seriously? I'm not a fan of the guy either but that's just obnoxious. I read these books to escape from the hot mess of our country right now, not to be reminded of it or to be privy to someone's demented revenge fantasies. As an author I could never imagine doing something like that -- maybe a villain would bear an ex-boyfriend's name, but not killing him! Or even inserting a political figure. It's just baffling to me, how some authors are willing to run the risk of alienating half their audience. But I guess in the end that's just the author's perogative.

I also felt this book was entirely way too long. It could have ended perfectly fine right around where I DNF'd but there was like 100+ pages to go! Her writing simply isn't good enough to withstand like 500 pages, sorry. It's honestly just the same book over and over again anyway: FMC and MMC (or MMCs, in this case) go on a mission and are thrust into a situation where they are essentially forced to be intimate. For like 5oo pages. I keep reading this series because I adore the Kindred themselves, but also because I keep hoping to see something different. Alas I was disappointed yet again.

My last gripe is regarding representation. I know the author prides herself on being inclusive and all that but... if you're gonna have a Hispanic character, maybe give a little more representation than random exhortations of "Dios Mio!", cussing in Spanish, and a few mentions of her "abuela." I honestly feel like the character was made Hispanic simply so the second-half villain could work for that particular governmental agency. Again, obnoxious and clear pandering. If you're gonna have representation let's maybe make it so the representation isn't simply surface-deep.

I really do feel bad about giving a poor review to this book, as I generally like the author -- she has a great presence on Facebook and will interact with readers frequently. I'd love to grab a margarita with her and discuss book boyfriends, you know? But I'm not entirely sure how much longer I'll be able to keep reading this series.

I cannot recommend this read enough, great characters and an amazing plot that’s riveting
A simply wonderful read, great characters and plot that I do not want to spoil the story for other readers hold readers riveted they are a simply wonderful characters in Burns Hot, Shines Bright and Noelle and I guarantee that once you begin reading this book you will not be able to put this book down until you reach the end
I hate to spoil the story for other readers by giving away too much of the plot and have to say that you will love the interaction of the main characters, the interaction between the three is simply wonderful and I guarantee that you will be keeping your fingers crossed for their love, laughter, passion and incredible love between them all.
I have always loved books by this author and am too pleased to say that this is no exception you will be absolutely captivated by this simply wonderful read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

This story is full of hot sexy times, sad and nerve-racking times, dangerous times, disgusting and vile creatures and forced intimacies.
It also has eyeballs floating in what is supposed to be food, but we know there is NO way that stuff is edible.
We meet, fall for, root on and get anxious for Bright, Burn and Noelle.
These three are hot together. Very protective of each other. They are kick- ass and did I mention hot together?
I don't like to give a lot of a story away so I will end with this, there are some individuals whose punishment is so well deserved, and I only wish I could witness it. The authors decision to do what she did about them gets my full support.
However, I have a VERY good imagination, and I am happy to just let my imagination fill in the blanks of what happens once they landed.

Wrapped in Their Arms is unlike any other Twin Kindred novel of Ms. Anderson’s I’ve read. The men in this one are not related to each other at all. The lady involved is older and came to the Mother Ship as a Teacher of Seasonal Holidays including Christmas. She is also trying to hide from her ex because he is extremely abusive. But the biggest difference is how this one sucked me into the story. I’d be reading along, and, before I realized it, I’d feel as if I were an observer in the story, not just a person reading through an exciting plot. I wish I knew how to put into words just how Wrapped in Their Arms affected me. I’ve read the other Twin Kindred novels, but none of them touched me as this one did. Hot and Steamy with a Plot full of Angst, Wrapped in Their Arms is an A+ experience.

My Review
Wrapped in Their Arms: A Spicy MFM Kindred Novel (Kindred Times Two)
by Evangeline Anderson

Burns Hot, Shines Bright, and Noelle are pure magic together. From the moment these characters were introduced, I was hooked. I loved the MFM dynamic—it’s emotional, passionate, and incredibly well-balanced.

The story has all the feels and more. The pacing drew me in, and the way everything unfolded kept me turning the pages. The author did a beautiful job blending heat, heart, and high stakes.

Overall, this book not only met my expectations—it exceeded them. I was fully captivated, and I can’t wait for more from this series.

In this Kindred Times Two novel we meet Twin Kindred Warrior best friends Burn and Bright who each endured the tragic loss of their biological twin, and Noelle who is teaching a class about Earth holidays aboard the Mother Ship.
They all set out Therim 5 to see if it's possible to form a new twin-bond with Noelle's help.
The mission goes all kinds of wrong which causes them to be abducted by nasty space pirates.
This story keeps your eyes riveted to the page and your B.P. elevated experiencing heated passion with gross food and disgusting huge aliens but wait, there's so much more.
What a ride!

Very Satisfying

Another very involved, but satisfying tale. Ever since reading ‘sharing a mate’; which is still my all-time favorite, I’ve been looking out for all Miss Anderson‘s works, and she is a very prolific writer. Some tales are more exciting than others, but they are all pretty much worth the read. Even though the formula is in evidence each time, each book is exciting and its own.

Absolutely love the twin kindred, they always take great care of their mate. Kindred would be so wonderful if they were able to actually fix wha5 is going on in reality, don't think it would take that long if all grouped together. Thanks for the great adventure Evangeline

Part of the Kindred Times Two series. A MM trigger warning. A well-written plot with twin kindred and their human mate. Will they have a HEA? A must-read in this genre.

Found this one an OK read, but a little too long. I like the Kindred world, but this one dragged for me and feel it would've been better shortened.
