Dark romance with a woman drowning in debt incurred from her now deceased father, is offered a way out. Knox is the enforcer for Romano, who acquires girls as assets to gain information to gain ground on their empire. Knox was only supposed to set up Dahlia to infiltrate Marco Bianchi’s world behind enemy lines, but he’s known since he started following her and learning her routines that there’s a need for him to make her his instead. It’s a story with a good plot, a bit repetitive at times, but not so much that it turns you away from continuing till the end.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
DNF around 14%... that really should be 7% though. It was extremely repetitive, almost as if the author had a word quota to meet and would do so by repeating sentences. The paragraph format is off putting as well. Additionally, Knox first chapter threw me off as he talked about "the mustard stain" that was said in the previous chapter as being on Aria uniform, not the FMC. If you want to know, FMC is poor and desperate and that is her entire character.
