This is a wonderful read. I loved both the poems and short stories. The poems gave you hint of what was to come in the short story that followed. The short stories left you wanting more of the story, but that was left up to your imagination.

Delicious Just DessertsLisa Fulham I have been waiting for Delicious Just Desserts since I read out on business. I was not disappointed, I couldn't put it down. The way Lisa writes you are there in those pages I could feel the cool air on my skin in the forest, she has a way of captivating the reader that not many can do with short stories. Anyone who knows me knows I am not that into poetry but the poems in between the short stories were not only relevant to the stories in the book but also thought provoking and actually made me think I may have been premature in my dislike of it. This book was just what I needed I was transported to each and every one of them but I was allowed to let my imagination carry on where the story finished. I am truly hoping that this is the first of many as it is a book I will be keeping and I know I will read again.

A book of beautiful short encounters and longer novellas, peppered with sweet poetry, this is a work that will delight you regardless of mood. There's romance, drama, passion, eroticism, kink and lashings of humour.

Ms Fulham writes real women so well - their insecurities, their desires and their needs. One of my favourite stories here, Lust Through A Lens, features two characters both with qualms about how they look, but they take the leap with the help of a camera to show off their beauty. It's uplifting and beautiul.

Her comedy skills really come to the fore in The Wedding Guest, another favourite tale in the book about a relationship otentially rekindled at a friend's wedding. It's an honest portrayal of a real big day, with real romance and love flowing off the pages.

The stories are never cliched, fresh and original and real. You're definitely going to have fun with this book - whether you're craving romance or raw sensuality, or simply a poetic smile. Highly recommended.

I absolutely loved this collection! Everything in this book screams sexy and hot and Lisa delivers it perfectly. The poems are beautifully written and the stories are sure to make you squirm in your seat. If I had to pick a favorite, I'm not sure I could. Every story was different and exciting all on their own. There is something for everyone, kinky, sexy, fantasy and sensual, If you haven't read this, I suggest you do. I can't wait to see what else Lisa has in store for all her readers.

What an incredible book! As somebody who has never written a decent poem in their life, I was more than blown away by Lisa's beautiful, lyrical poetry. But more than that, I was astounded by how she manages to make her prose read like poetry, too. It just seems to flow so effortlessly and reading it is pure pleasure.

The sex scenes are hot as Hades and fantastically written. She somehow manages to make even the most debauched scene read tastefully. I absolutely loved that despite it being a collection of erotica, each short had a fab story, which dragged the reader in. I wanted more of every story. I'd love to see where the small encounters lead, if indeed they lead anywhere!

Wonderful book written by a lovely lady. <3

*Book received in exchange for honest review *

Though I really loved the concept of the book with its short stories and poems, I only enjoyed one poem. growing up, I was always taught poems had to rhyme, so I tend to only enjoy ones that rhyme. my favourite being 'stake your claim' it was hot and sassy. my favourite short story in the book, though I found them all extremely hot and sexy, was the story on Blake Casey and Lucy. I came across of lot of misspelled words, ones that could of be rectified quite easily, like 'quiet' instead of 'quite.'
But overall I enjoyed the book, it's refreshing, sexy and hot as hell. highly recommended if your looking for a quick sexy read.

Aimed at audiences of 18+ with a lot of sex.

Delicious Just Desserts by Lisa Fulham was a wonderful read deserving of 5 stars. I enjoyed the concept of this book with it's collection of "delicious" steamy, sexy poems and short stories. Lisa's talent with her descriptive writing pulled me into every short story and poem. Feeling every emotion and my surroundings as if I was really there. In the end, this book was beautifully written and one I would easily recommend you all to read. I look forward to reading more of Lisa's stunning work in the near future.

so far I keep the five star but I thought I would read new stories. the poems are new to me at least. I say this because I already read "Out on business' book. The author is a gem. I know it's a huge and fantastic job to write this well though, so my praise goes on the poems mostly so far. I loved them all. Delicious covers it.

I met Lisa at the Peterborough book signing. I'd seen the cover of this book on Facebook and absolutely loved it, so I went over with a copy of my own and asked if she'd book swap. We've been friends ever since. So with that in mind, reading her book, like with that of other fellow authors is always a difficult one - for the question always in your mind is what if I don't like it? Well I needn't have worried, for what I discovered pretty quickly is that Lisa is one talented lady.
Though I enjoyed her stories, for me Lisa's poetry is phenomenal. She can carve words beautifully into poetry. Six Words is a clever delight, but my favourite was Stake Your Claim where I could feel the sexual tension in the formation of words. I hope she doesn't mind me quoting a bit.

You make me clench
with words alone
you make me drip
and force my moans
You pull my hair
and don't play fair
you make me come
with your filthy fun.

If its desserts then what you have is an array of flavours to choose from, from modern day business man and colleague to Sir and the basement. One thing that did come to mind from a couple of stories was that Lisa would be able to write a great historical novel because she could capture the right sort of language.

I give this book four stars. That means I really liked it and I did. I'm a rare five star giver and this book did have some minor spelling issues. I cannot wait to read more by Lisa as if this is her debut then we are in for a future treat.

Five absolutely bright shining stars my only wish ? I would have liked to have given this more that five stars!!

Wow ! Wow and another dose of wow!
I am seriously left speechless at the content of this book, Lisa Fulham has literally rendered me lost for words (one of few people that has ever done this to me )

I picked this up after reading a short story from Lisa that I really loved and enjoyed so I was hopeful of having the same pleasurable reading experience from her writing again........how wrong was I? This was above and beyond anything I had expected.
The collection of poems are so well placed and perfectly compliment the short stories also contained within, however the absolute treasures are indeed those short stories.
They are exquisitely written with such a perfect blend of fire and finesse!!!
The wording, the flow and the eloquent beautiful expression used to portray the scenes are beyond impeccable. Lisa provides a flawless haven to escape to with each short story and if this is the caliber of her writing in only the short style I can't wait to see what she produces if she pens a full novel.

This collection of erotic short stories and poems are amazing.

I attended a book signing and had pre ordered this book not knowing much about the author. I'm so glad that I did, this collection of short stories and poems is erotica at its best. The author writes strong women in her short stories, they are believable women with desires and fears and fantasies. There are some comical moments, and situations that you can just imagine happening like in the poem preparing for dinner, that has to be one of my favourites.

What made my experience with this book even more special was that not it is it the first physical book that I have picked up and read in a long time, preferring reading on my kindle, but the author had placed a few surprises within the book. If you get a chance to order a book direct from the author then keep an eye out.

This book is one hell of a passionate page turner!

Delicious Just Desserts collects together a wonderful mixture of short stories and poems and yes it really is as delicious as the title suggests!

There is something for everyone in there, whether you are looking for something steamy, something romantic or something lustful. Every piece within the pages is dripping with intensity: the poems titillate and the characters in the stories display an array of emotions and expose their imperfections and flaws, which is what makes it a delight to read. The characters are real people, in real situations and there will be something in it that will make you say "yes I can relate to that."

DJD is a real page turner and will make you want to keep devouring the delicious words Lisa writes on the page.

This was an interesting read, I was expecting one story but was pleasantly surprised by it being a collection of 6 short stories and eight poems. This was really well thought out and put together by a very clever and talented author.
All of the stories left me wanting more from them, but none were just left open ended, it is left to the reader to imagine their endings.
I can’t wait to see she comes next from the lovely Lisa.

Delicious Desserts is an erotic collection of poetry and short stories written from the heart. All stories are believable and descriptive, and Lisa's choice of vocabulary ensured her sex scenes were sensual and not smutty! A Forest In The Rain blew me away when I first read it and did so when I read it a second time. A great read you can dip in and out of at your own leisure... I totally recommend it!
