A single secret changes everything.

Hailey Saldino desperately wants to start fresh at a school where she's free of the snide remarks and hurtful stares. A place where no one knows her past…or her son, Brady.

Luke wants a no strings attached, physical relationship, until Hailey becomes more than a cute girl in a skirt. Usually his bad boy reputation hooks the ladies but it won't be enough to land a girl like Hailey. Needing a lasting approach, Luke decides to be honest. No lies. No BS. As the connection between them deepens, Luke shares all his shameful secrets.

Afraid to lose one of the few people who’s ever looked at her as something other than a slut, Hailey buries herself in compounding lies. And when Hailey's purposeful deceit blindsides Luke, he must decide if he'll walk away, or accept Hailey and the little man she already loves.

This did not work for me but it may work for you.

Hailey, was just going to make the same bad decisions. It was just a cycle of mistakes. Luke was not ambitious. He watched his mom struggle working two jobs and instead of working hard at school (AT LEAST TRYING) and not drinking and partying, I would have had some sympathy for him. His art teacher told him to join art club and he rejected the idea. He constantly says that school is not for him. Okay, then work towards something. Have some motivation!
Neither character did anything for me. I felt NO sympathy for either of them.

Hailey is a senior in high school. She has a 12 month old son. She says she made a mistake by having sex with this guy (Nolan Paxton) even after the other guy told her he did not have a condom. (loc 4%) Hailey's mom and she moved after Hailey was being bullied at her other school. Hailey's mom and Hailey think it would be for the best to keep Brady (her son) a secret so Hailey could experience a regular teen life without judgement. So Hailey introduces her son as her brother. IT felt wrong when she introduced Brady as her son to Luke. It felt so wrong that Luke was lied to.

The first day Hailey sees Luke she thinks he is hot. She is attracted to him. He is attracted to her. Typical and predictable.

The story is written in dual POVs. It just did not work for me. It may work for you. I am not telling you not to read it. You may love it.

Breath of fresh air.

I don't think I've read a book like this before. If I did, it was probably a long time ago. Reading this made me heave a happy sigh. It has the right amount of cuteness and seriousness. :)

Drifting - this is how I would describe Luke's life. He doesn't have plans, he just drifts from one point to another which is really too bad because he's such a good boy. Minus the girls and the teenage partying, Luke is kind of perfect. He has a good heart and he thinks a lot about other people. To me, his only main fault is that he doesn't live his life with "MORE" than he thinks he deserves. Oh well, the story unravels and solves that little fault in a very good way. :)

Hiding - yeah, that's Hailey. She's a good girl. She studies and she works. She wants everything that life has to offer, however.. in her own words, she's not normal. She doesn't have a deformity or something. She just experienced something that girls her age rarely experience. She hides this and it engulfs her, stresses her to the point of tying herself up in knots. Balancing all of her responsibilities has never been easy. As she always says, things can be so much worse. In this book, you'll see just how much her character will grow. I love her fighting spirit.

I like how their relationship gradually came to be. It's not too fast. The dilemma that they faced is bearable because they both could be oh so sweet.

They're both young and still have a lot of things to learn, so I'm also glad for their adult support. It's cool how both of their parents try to make the best out of their situation. I like their advices and I like their relationships.

All in all. This is a really good book about facing responsibilities and living your life to the fullest being the best of what you can be. A real treat for young adults!

4.5 stars for the sweet and thoughtful romance. Hailey is a single mom, she got pregnant at 15 and is raising her baby with help from her mom. When she moves to a new town with her mom, her mom advises her to not tell anyone she has a baby so that she can enjoy life as a normal teenage girl and not have to deal with the stigma of being a teen mom. That's the plan but when she meets Luke, everything changes. She's not looking for a relationship but there's something about Luke that she connects with. I loved Luke and how sweet he could be with his friends and with Hailey. What I found really interesting is the perspective from a teen mom. I think some people might not like Hailey when they read this book because she keeps her son a secret but I get where she's coming from and I felt so bad for her especially how she struggled with wanting to tell the truth. This book was sweet and had a really interesting storyline and I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to read more by this author!

I could not relate to these characters at all. They attraction was too fast for me. And I felt the characters were missing some dimension to make them more likable. I found myself not caring what happened to them. The cover is nice though and the title and blurb really are what pulled me in in the first place.

It just felt very predictable to me. So predictable that I almost didn’t finish the book. I kept at it though hoping that it would change, it has been known to happen. I like to give the author every chance to pull me back in, but alas, that did not happen with this book. I can’t really say much more than that.

Prove Me Wrong was an audiobook I was looking forward to. The synopsis and the cover really captured my attention and I was really curious to see how this story was going to unfold.

The story is about Hailey who is a teenage mother to a one-year-old named Brady. She moves to a new town to escape the bullying she experienced in her school because of the fact that she’s a teen mom. When she arrives to this new town her mom advises her to not tell anyone she’s a teenage mother because she doesn’t want people to look at her differently and treat her differently. I had a lot of problems with keeping Brady a secret. My friend Mel brought up a good point about maybe the area the story takes place in doesn’t have a lot of teen moms and so the bullying would be bad so keeping her child a secret would be a good idea. I however, grew up in an area where teen pregnancy was just normal. Our high school had a daycare, if a girl became pregnant it was just a shrug and she was just another bump in the hall. No one was ever bullied as far as I ever saw. Trying to see the different perceptive was just really difficult for me because I am a teenage mother and I couldn’t imagine pretending my son was my little brother.

I thought the story was a bit rushed; Hailey and Luke were head over heels for each other really early on in the book. I felt like that could’ve taken a bit more of time. The author however did a good job at developing their relationship and I did feel like it was sincere and it really grew despite how rushed the beginning was.

I think I liked Luke more than Hailey and felt like I could relate to him more despite the fact that both Hailey and I are teenage mothers. I felt like he was real. I loved how caring he was with Hailey, Brady, his coworkers and CJ. I really enjoyed CJ the most and was left wondering if we’d ever find out about him and Roxy because I really want to read that.

I felt the end was also rushed and could’ve been developed a bit more. I thought the author had a good concept for the novel. I’d probably read more of her novels at some point in time.

The Narrator for Prove Me Wrong was Julia Farmer. I really liked her voice and she read both points of view well. I actually preferred her as Luke than Hailey but that could’ve just been because Hailey frustrated me. I would definitely listen to more books narrated by Julia.

This was such a fun book. Luke and Hailey are lovable, and perfect for each other. And Brady was adorable. I loved the way Luke interacted with him.
Overall, a very fun, romantic read.

What an incredibly beautiful and courageously inspiring story of living the only life you have with unending love, unshakeable hope, and unlimited joy. My heart is so full after reading this wonderfully touching story about two high school seniors who literally have their lives turned upside down before graduation. Nothing could have prepared them for what this year brings, but in the end they finally learn who they really are and who they want to be.
Hailey is a teenager mother who has finally come to terms with the radical change in her life. Now, she can’t possibly love her son anymore then she already does, and with her mother helping her, they are making a good life together. The only problem left is dealing with the unforgiving kids at school apart from her wonderful best friend Becky. She and her mother decide to move, so that she can start over at a new school for her senior year. What she doesn’t expect is to have her life turned completely upside down by the few friends that she makes. Life seems to have finally smiled down on her for at least a short time in the form of Luke who not only invades her classes but eventually her heart. She fights hard for control knowing nothing can happen, but there comes a time when the sweet love blooming between them removes the control from her hands. Luke couldn’t have found a more perfect girl for him in Hailey unless she stepped out of one of his dreams. Only when he finds himself completely fallen for her does his life come crashing down around him, and he must decide what he is going to do. Will he run and give up on what he has worked so hard for, or will he stand his ground and fight for what he wants?
I couldn’t love Hailey or Luke anymore then I do after reading their exquisite journey. It was certainly not easy, but nothing worth having is ever easy. The most wonderful things in life are defined by the blood, sweat, and tears that are required to accomplish it. The sweet that is savored afterwards wouldn’t be as sweet or fulfilling if it had been an easy task. Life is not clean, pretty, or clear-cut. In fact, it’s usually the exact opposite, but that doesn’t mean that it’s any less meaningful or magnificent. Sometimes the ugliness serves to take us where we need to be in order to find the people that we need to be with. Mistakes can be painful and ugly, but if we allow ourselves to look past the initial shock and discomfort, we might be able to catch a glimpse of a ray of hope desperately trying to break through the grey clouds that hover over us. Don’t ever let your hope die because as soon as soon as you are ready to let go, life may finally be ready to show you the happiness and wonder that is just waiting for you around the next corner.
I can’t say how glad I am to have had the opportunity to read this book by Tessa Marie! This was such an amazing story that touched my heart in very a powerful way. The themes of the importance of family, the beauty of friendship, and the power of a hopeful outlook on life took my breath away. Words sometimes fall short of the power of a spectacular story, and this is one of those occasions for me. I highly recommend this story to anyone who needs some encouragement and hope in their life. No matter what never give up because the best things in life could be on their way if you can hang on just a little longer.

Luke Hannon and Hailey Saldino meet when she starts at his high school on the first day of his Senior Year. Luke and Hailey are instantly attracted to one another and it begins the drama of friends, school, and lies.

Luke is not expecting this year to be any better than the others. His best friend, CJ is hoping if they both put their noses to the grindstone they can make it better by hard work. Luke is not so sure. He has already been sorely disappointed by too many people and situations.

Hailey is starting over at a new school after having a baby. Her mom took a job a couple of hours away from where they used to live to give her a chance at starting over and making new friends. She advises Hailey to not tell anyone she is a teen mother. She agrees and then this is where the lies begin.

Luke is a danger she could really get to liking. Hailey's new friend, Roxy, warns her off him and she and Luke begin this sort of back an forth love/hate thing in their friendship. He finally tells her he will be completely honest if she will trust him and give him a chance. She agrees and a better friendship is born.

Until one kiss changes it all and they both realize the feelings are bigger than they thought. Hailey has told everyone her son is her brother, and if she comes clean - Luke will know she has been lying. She decides she has to and tells him anyway. He is devastated and leaves in a hurry.

This is an emotionally charged story with really strong characters and you feel like you are right there. I enjoyed reading about Luke and Hailey because they were real people and their story could have happened to any one of us.

The book started off with a lot of promise! I really liked the grittiness and reality the storyline. I was also intrigued because, it is not a topic that most people want to even touch, teenage pregnancy. The author does a great job of not glamorizing being a teenage mother.

The story is about Haley, who become pregnant at 15 and with her mom's support, decides to have the baby. I absolutely LOVED how supportive and present the mom was for Haley. Haley struggles with wanting to have a normal high school experience and loving her son. She constantly makes bad choices because she just wants to be a kid. I could feel her pain. I don't even blame her for some of the choices she made. I got her thinking.

Luke was the typical bad boy until he decides he doesn't want to be that guy anymore. With the reality of life after high school, the reader can def see the beginning shift in his thinking. He was a sweet guy but just your typical high school 18 year male. He just wanted the girl. He made no apologies for it, and I didn't fault him for it.

The dialogue is truly juvenile, which I guess lends itself to the age group it is portraying. I just felt like there were times where the story just bleh'd out. I don't know if that makes sense. There just wasn't anything truly memorable about the storyline or the characters. There were also times, where I felt things were skipped that could have used a bit more development.

That being said, it was a super quick listen and the narration was pretty good. It was dual and both narrators were right on point.

Audiobook

Narration, Julia Farmer - really terrific! This is a dual POV book and starts out with the male MC. I gotta say, this gal does really credible characters that aren't caricatures. I questioned a female reading the male parts for a dual POV but only for about 2 minutes. Really great narrator!

The story is really sweet, solidly between liked and really liked. I enjoyed the concept of the story even though it did contain a lot of predictable elements. Luke and Hailey are really sweet characters and I always like seeing a bad boy fall in love and change his ways.

There are the typical secondary characters you'd expect in a teen romance, including some snarky snots, the loose ex whose always interfering and causing doubts and a lot of secret keeping that ultimately causes a blow-out break-up. But even with all that, I at least felt some investment in the characters and the outcome of the story. And some of that could be due to the great narration!

I went into this quite excited that it would be a new and unique story, but I was really disappointed.

The characters were absolutely horrible. Within the first few pages they were already googly eyed for each other, and honestly this whole book is one big cliche eyeroll. Hailey was the typical 'not like other girls' teen mum, and Luke was the possessive playboy who wouldn't take no for an answer.

There was so much ingrained misogyny as well, like the girls were pitted against each other, and were so obsessed with how they looked, just to appeal to the boys. There was no character development, or logic to the entire romance and plot. The only decent character was CJ, but there wasn't much to this book that I enjoyed.

I feel like I probably would've liked this book when I was 14, but too many years have passed, and it was just really not good.

This is such a fabulous story. I love how 'bad boy' Luke, for the first time in his life, promises himself and the girl he's falling for that he'll be 100% honest about everything. That he wants it to work. That he wants to be the guy she can depend on.

And then what happens? Hailey ends up being the one lying the whole time sending Luke into a whirlwind of what's the point in trying to be an upstanding guy?

The internal struggles and growth these two go through is wonderful to witness and beautifully written. Well done Ms. Marie!

A light, easy, coming of age drama following teenage mum Hailey as she navigates her way around a new town, new friends and a new school, while keeping her baby son a secret. Not as easy as she first thought, especially when she meets the gorgeous bad boy Luke. I really loved the characters and the dual POV. Both characters complimented each other and Luke turned out to be quite a hot book boyfriend. Enjoyable read.

The plot is interesting and the story keeps you going. I took off a star just because of the poor editing. Seeing common phrases with the wrong words, such as "gluten for punishment" and "admiral qualities", really bothered me.

Prove Me Wrong starts off slow and there is very little conflict in the first half of the book. But the second half more than makes up for it, providing an emotional roller coaster ride to a satisfying conclusion. New girl, Hailey, has a big secret, one so awful, she and her mom were forced to move two hours away to escape the bullying of her classmates. It's not surprising then, that she isn't quick to reveal her secret to everyone in her new school. And her mom encourages her to keep the secret, saying it will ruin her chances to be a normal teenager. Because normal teenagers don't have babies.

Luke is a player, although it's not clear if he's part of the in crowd. He has no ambitions other than getting into Hailey's pants. At least at first. The more he pursues her, the more she pushes him away, and the more he wants to know more about her. And the more he learns, the more he realizes he's into her for more than physical reasons. But he's got secrets of his own, so the road to happiness will be bumpy at best.

World Building
Author Tessa Marie does a good job of creating at typical high school in small town America. There's not much more world building than that, but there doesn't really need to be. The setting is far less important than the plot or characters.

Plot
It's an engaging concept -- what happens when a teenage boy finds out his girlfriend's little brother is really her son. We all know it's going to happen at some point, we just don't know when or how. The lack of conflict early on makes the story drag more than it needed to, but there was some interesting sub-plotting involving Luke's future and the source of the bad blood between Luke and Hailey's new friend, Roxy.

Characters
The characters aren't particularly groundbreaking, but they are likable enough. Hailey's biggest sin isn't that she got pregnant at 16, or even that she lies about her relationship to her son, Brady. It's that she doesn't seem to know how to stand up for herself, either to the father of her child, to her mother, or even the other kids at school. And that is the big flaw she'll need to overcome to get what she wants.

Luke is a little more interesting. At least toward the latter half of the book. The first half, I'm not sure what Hailey sees in him except he's pretty face with mesmerizing blue eyes. But he has substance that become apparent later on. His issues run deeper than Hailey's, so he has more growing to do, and it's fun to watch.

Hailey's mom is not stereotypical and I love that about her. Same with Luke's mom. Friends, C.J. and Roxy are also pretty well developed, so it was easy to overlook Russ, Amanda and some of the other supporting characters who lacked any real depth.

Writing
Tessa Marie has a youthful voice that works well for this story. Hailey's believable as a teen with too many responsibilities and Luke comes across as an authentic teen boy with sex on the brain.
Ending
The ending was my favorite part. The conflict is palpable and drives to a logical climax, wrapping up in a satisfying conclusion.

Top Five Things I Enjoyed About Prove Me Wrong
1. The Romantic Gesture. I won't spoil it, but the big romantic gesture is about one of the sweetest I've read in a while.

2. Hailey's Priorities. She's sixteen, so it's tough to balance school, motherhood, romance, and a job, yet somehow she never forgets that she made a choice when she decided to raise Brady and as hard as it is at times, he comes first.

3. Becky. Hailey's BFF is everything a best friend should be. I would have loved to have had more of her in the story.

4. Music. The modern music added a touch of authenticity.

5. C.J. He was funny, smart, and a great yin to Luke's yang.

Bottom Line
Prove Me Wrong is a decent young adult read that touches on teen motherhood, responsibilities, and happily ever afters.

This is the story of 2 teenagers that are both struggling with their own problems and pasts and is told from both points of view.

Hailey is a 17 year old girl starting at a new school where nobody knows her and she is determined to get the full high school teenage experience although she’s not looking for a relationship until she lays eyes on Luke. She left her old school because her mother got a new job but also because everyone at her old school would gossip behind her back. The reason for the gossiping is because Hailey has a 1 year old baby boy named Brady.

Hailey is determined to keep Brady a secret from her new school friends, even describing him as her baby brother although she immediately feels guilty about this. Her mother doesn’t help in this by encouraging her to lie and not tell her friends about her baby. Some people may not agree with her decision about keeping him a secret but I can understand why she does this as she just wants some sort of a “normal teenage life” while still having the responsibilities of motherhood.

Luke has been a player for most of his high school life. He parties hard and isn’t interested in school and thinks college is a waste of time and energy to consider as he can’t afford it anyway. He just coasts along and is a talented artist and sportsman but just isn’t interested. His dad left when he was only a little boy and as a result decided that he doesn’t want to get too close to people or involved in anything that reminds him of his dad like sports. He uses girls for sex but dumps them before they can get to close. That is until he meets Hailey. From the moment he sees her on the first day of senior year he is smitten and will do anything to get closer to her.

Roxy and Luke used to be best friends until an incident a few years back but she won’t listen to his side of the story and now hates him. She and Hailey become fast friends but she keeps warning Hailey off of Luke and telling her stories about him but there is still an attraction there that Hailey can’t deny.

Luke tells Hailey that if she wants to know anything about him she just needs to ask and he will be totally honest with her but can she be honest with him? If she tells him about Brady will he run and break her heart? As Hailey starts falling harder for him hers lies get her deeper into trouble and she doesn’t know how to get herself out.

This is another great book by Tessa Marie and covers the taboo subject of teenage pregnancy and what happens when the girl decides to try and raise the baby herself. I believe that this story shows that not all teenager girls that get pregnant at 15 are irresponsible and that for some it was just an accident that should never have happened but now they have to step up and accept their responsibilities. Hailey shows that it isn’t easy going to school, working part time and trying to be a responsible parent not relying on her own mother to do everything for her baby. She has her own hopes and dreams but also is determined to give her son the best she can provide and raise him to be a caring and loving young man.

How do I even begin to describe the amount of emotions I feel towards this book, there are just too many but I felt for the character from beginning to end and I’m emotionally drained but thoroughly satisfied with everything about this book. Theresa Paolo took me on a journey through the mind of a young mother and I could definitely relate to everything because I have kids as well. It was just a really refreshing and inspirational.

Let me just start off with I don’t think it’s ideal for a child to have a child, but it happens and the only thing you can do is make the best of it and move forward, but the key is to keep moving forward and that is what Hailey was doing, going to school, working and taking care of her baby along with the help of her mother, but nonetheless she was doing it all. She really was a great character and realistic as well, because raising a kid no matter how old you are is not always fun, sometimes there are hard times and you just want to ball up and cry like a baby yourself. Very emotional scenes in this book, still thinking about them right now. Total tear fest, but so worth it only because I can relate.

Then there’s Luke who wants to change his life for the better but then again maybe he doesn’t, that is until he meets Hailey and he thinks he found someone special, she is his exception. I’ll never not love that line about being your exception, great line. Anyway, so yes he has his own issues but he doesn’t try and let it overpower him and he falls hard and fast for Hailey. It’s how he deals with the truth when he finds out that matters most. But you’ll have to read the book to see what I’m talking about, and don’t worry it’s completely worth it.

I know I’m not the biggest friend of insta love, but I have to say sometimes that too does happen, but I don’t think it was insta love in this instant. It was more like instawant, but I applaud that they took things slow as young people should and that is when the real emotions come into play, and that is when things start to really matter. Taking things slow, that’s where it’s at.

Overall this book was so sweet and so real and I just can’t say enough good things about it. The author really flowed things smoothly and even the secondary characters were interesting, although I wouldn’t mind reading a book about Roxy and CJ, just saying! Sometimes it’s not about the situations you are put in, but it’s about how you handle them that matters most. Great story, something I haven’t seen or read about before and it indeed was inspirational. Don’t get me wrong, not saying go out and be a teen mom, but keep it moving!

Very cute cover also, it definitely made me look twice at the book.

Beautiful, Heart warming Story!

*Received a copy from Author for an honest review*

I can't tell you how much I really enjoyed this story! Its fresh, funny, heart warming and is very relateable. I was a teen mom, had my first child at 18 and although I didn't face some of the problems that Hailey faced, I could still relate to her. I remember all the late nights, the frustration, the sadness, the wanting to still be able to experience all the things that a teen should be experiencing.

I really love the relationship between Hailey and her mother. They are a team, since her father left them early on. She is her support system and she does all she can to help Hailey. There is a bond there that is strong and it helps Hailey become the best mom that she can be while still dealing with school and other teenage things, like boys. :)

After being burned by her sons father, Hailey just wants to start over in their new town. She doesn't want the stares, the rude comments, she just wants to finish high school and do the best she can for her son.

In walks Luke, the bad boy, the 'player', the one that only has one thing on his mind...and thats Hailey. Of course he chases her, trys to get her to like him and although Hailey is attracted to him, she tries to stay focused on school. She keeps Brady a secret, she is afraid that if Luke knew she had a son, he would leave her just like Brady's father did.

But soon, Luke seems to grow on her. Even though she is warned to stay away from the skirt chaser by her new friend, Roxy, there is just something about Luke that keeps drawing her back in.

And with good reason. Luke, having to deal with his own life issues, spends most of his time partying and hooking up. But when he sees Hailey, things start to change for him. He tries to get her to know him before she hears all the rumors, he vows to tell her the truth, no bullshit.

And its so sweet the exchanges between them. Little things that Luke says or does that just makes you love him and root for him to get the girl!

I really enjoyed reading this book and at times got butterflies, thats the best, when an Author can make you feel like you've just fell in love for the first time.

ARC provided by the author in exchange for a review.

Luke and Hailey meet as seniors in high school; Luke the bad boy with no direction in his life and a grudge on his shoulder left by his MIA dad, and Hailey is a shy girl with a big secret.

The Positive:
I've yet to read a book where the main character was a teenage mother. Hailey and her mother are both single moms and the two struggle with taking care of little Brady, but with this big responsibility comes a range of emotions, frustrations and tears, lots of them. I liked the realness that the author brought to this situation.

Luke's situation also had a strong realism to it as well, but early on, his character kind of annoyed me. He said, "I'm done with it," when Amanda, his f*uck buddy wanted to fool around with him, trashing her for being nothing but a body with no conversation skills, but right away, he's looking for his next lay. Despite my earlier dislike of him, later on, I actually came to like his character.

I really like the way Luke's mother talks to him and how she expects him to not be like his father.

The Negative:
Luke and Hailey's feelings for each other grew too fast for me to believe. They were thinking 'Love' before I got the feeling they were connecting on that level.

I got a laugh at Luke being a fan of the power pop, emo group Paramore. He even bragged about going to one of their concerts. I'm positive this group has a severely limited teenaged-guy following. Luke may be the only one to openly admit it. I guess it was needed to create the "You are the only Exception" ending.

This book was a cute read, but on the whole, I found the writing style to be mediocre. A few times, I was tempted to put it down, unfinished because of it's inability to stimulate me. The entire story was sorely lacking in the excitement department. The climax was barely dramatic and a tad short of memorable.

**Heavy sex talk from Luke and his buddies makes this an advanced-age YA read.

Second Chances and A Chance At Love,

This story was super sweet and such an uncommon plot that I was very interested to see how the story would end for the characters. The story was not your typical high school drama line of boy meets new girl and instanta crush then HEA. Nope, this book had new points and twists that made the story engaging in a way other typical plots lose it's audience in being cliché.

Luke Hannon is the bad boy on the exterior, but is secretly a sweetheart on the inside. Luke is tired of his same old life and then there she is on his first day of senior year. She isn't a girl he's known from middle school and is definitely different than his normal, shall we say conquests. But that's what begins his intrigue into wanting to get to know who Hailey Saldino. Meanwhile, Hailey just wants to have a normal senior year, which was something she couldn't have in her old high school due to her exposed secret, she has a son. Now Hailey is conflicted because her resolve to be relationship free for the sake of her son may be harder to keep, now that she's met the charming Luke.

Overall, I loved how the author chose to go the route not written by having Hailey having a son. That isn't an uncommon occurrence now a days and showing the conflict a character would have in trying to balance a life and taking care of a child while trying to date is an affecting read. Then there is Luke's side and life which makes the story all the more interesting. The story was a mix of sweet, thought-provoking and angsty moments, but the end made it all worth reading.

Prove Me Wrong by Tessa Marie is a stand alone romance that I would categorize as Mature Young Adult. Told in dual POV from both Luke and Hailey's sides, it is a wonderful story of high school seniors reaching that point in their lives when they realize they are practically adults. What they do now DOES make a difference to their future and they need to make better choices.

Hailey has moved to a new town and new school two hours away from her life. It's just her and her mom... and her nearly 12 month old son. The stigma that surrounded her as pregnant teen at her old school are hopefully going to remain absent at this new one she can keep her secret.

Luke has had a don't care attitude for as long as he can remember. He's no stranger to trouble (the mischief kind) and his senior year shouldn't be any different. When he lays eyes on the new girl though, all bets are off. What starts out as immediate physical attraction slowly starts to morph into more the more he gets to know her.

These two characters slowly begin to open up to each other. There are things in Lukes past that he hasn't shared with anyone but he opens up with Hailey. Sadly, she doesn't open up to him in time and when the proverbial baby poop hits the fan they may be lost to each other forever.

Very clean romance. Despite that *giggles* I loved this story and really enjoyed Luke and Hailey's interactions.

I received this ebook from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Okay, this book has quite a cliched storyline, but hey, let's give it some credit where it's due, alright? Luke, who has always been a bad boy in his school, is known for his notorious playboy reputation and the only thing on his mind is obviously sex. So when he meets new girl, Hailey, he totally wanted to get her into his bed. But soon, he realises that there's more to Hailey than meets the eye. Hailey seemed like a normal girl, but behind closed doors, she's actually a mother due to a mistake in the past. Juggling school, work and her little son, she struggles to keep her secret from everyone, including the hot guy who seems to be chasing her, Luke. Soon, her lies would catch up with her. Would Luke stay or bail?

Awwwwww. I've read a few books that have similar plot, so I wasn't really that into reading this book. I have to admit that at the start, I was abit irked by the way the story was going. It seemed to simple. Hmm, how do I explain it? The way the story was being told, it seemed like storytelling. But afterwards, the book got quite interesting that I didn't mind about the story. And Luke is my favorite character. I've liked him since the start of the book as he didn't seem as bad as how he was supposed to be portrayed. I guess from the start, you could actually see that he was the good guy HAHA. And he's hot too ;) So yeah, 4 out of 5 for this amazingly cliched but interesting book hahah.

This was a first for me by this author, I am glad I got the chance to listen. I even really enjoyed the narrator in this very believable for the age of the characters.

It’s been a while since I listened to a YA novel.
Luke, starting out his senior year in high school, he is pretty popular esp. with the girls. Only he is a little board. Enter in new girl Hailey he kind of sets his sights on her. So he puts himself in her path a lot.
Hailey just wants to have a normal senior year well as normal as it can be with a big secret. She isn’t looking for a boyfriend and pretty much avoids all the boys but Luke makes it hard to do that.
I love both Luke and Hailey’s moms in this book there unwavering support is special not a lot of moms are like that esp. with some of the stuff your dealing with in this book.

Here is where I have an issue with Hailey, she knows what it’s like to be judged, yet her and her friends judge other girls. I didn’t really like that but its High School so you kind of get that. I just thought Hailey was above that esp. from what she has already gone through.
Same with Luke when meet with hard choices he says he doesn’t want to be his dad yet he kind of did the same thing. Yes I know high School but I just wanted more understanding there.

Over all a great read one I would listen to again to be honest. Its YA and YA is meant to be young adults, know what you’re reading. 

I loved this book! Luke and Hailey are adorable together.

I received this book as an ARC from the author to leave an honest review.

So here we go. Top ten things I loved about prove me wrong.

1. Luke - could he be anymore perfect? Loving and sweet, he was there for Hailey even when she didn't want him close. Total bbf (book boyfriend) material.
2. Haliey - Wow she is a pretty great mom for being 17! I love her dedication and responsibility. Though I did get really mad about her lying in the book.
3. The way the book ended .... Total awww and almost tears.
4. Roxy you think you're going to hate her but you will end up loving her.
5. The moms.... both Hailey's and Luke's. They really love their kids. And I love the sacrifices each of them make for their children.
6. Brady. Seriously the most adorable child written in the known universe.
7. Russ I want to punch him... but he makes me laugh with his pig like tendencies. Also Amanda you have to love her conniving, bitchy, slutty ways.
8. Cj and Becky... you always need that bestie will be there for you.
9. Luke's determination. He just would not give up.
10. Hailey's insecurities not only were they believable but they felt real and something that every mother goes through and can relate to.

This book is beautifully written with great characters and heart tugging storyline. I highly recommend to all romance readers

I saw this synposis awhile ago and when it was release I instantly bought it on Amazon. So glad I was able to find this book because I really liked it. Sure some things were corny and others were un-realistic, but for the most part I think this might be the life of a teenage mom trying to live a normal life.

I love how much Hailey loves Brady. So many parents start to regret and resent their children because of what they are missing out on life, but Hailey is so excited to come home and see her baby boy after school. But she is also fighting to go to school and get her education, while also working part time to pay for Brady's things. Being a mom is hard, but being a high school student mom who works is just insane. Yet again Hailey comes home and loves her little boy like she just woke up from an 8 hour restful sleep.

And I loved Luke. He changed so much of himself for Hailey without even knowing her secret. It was just Hailey he was changing for because he wanted to be the best for her and knew his old ways would never have her agreeing to being with him. The scenes with Luke, Hailey and Brady made my heart melt. You could definitely tell that he loved both of them, even when he didn't know Hailey's secret.

Seriously, I loved this book. So glad I got it and will now be keeping my eyes out for more by Tessa Marie.
