✨ Praise for The Bible The Old Testament ✨

In a culture saturated with all things new, our children seem destined to never meet the heroes of the Old Testament. If the number of pages, big words and lack of pictures wasn’t enough, it is literally titled, “old.” But in the pages of this book, you’ll experience something “new.” Witness the stories of God’s people from an earlier age come to life. Read these pages with those you love and experience together something gloriously old and spectacularly new.

I have tried to read the Old Testament and have listened to countless commentaries on the stories, but none have resonated with me as much as these retellings. The Sabeys have turned Bible stories into literature that is engaging, meaningful, and spiritual. I have to hold back tears when reading the stories aloud to my kids. The illustrations are gorgeous too. Thank you Josh, Sarah, and Maddie for helping the Bible come alive for our family.

I'm obsessed with these books! They are an absolute treasure--real, tender, gorgeously human retellings of scripture. I love them so much I want every family I know to have a copy.

You cannot beat Maddie Baker's artwork here. This series is my favorite Old Testament commentary this year. I appreciate the generosity with which the stories are told, and the details that are brought out which are new for me. The stories here inevitably inspire me to dig deeper into the actual text of the Old Testament. (Lot's newlywed daughters moving into tiny apartments in Sodom city...hahaha)
