Naughty Saint Nick

Rate this book
Amber Wright has one goal this Christmas: survive it.

Between her son’s impossible-to-assemble bike, a half-finished bottle of wine, and the ghost of a marriage gone wrong, she’s barely holding it together.

Then a stranger’s voice crackles through her son’s walkie-talkie, warm, kind, and wickedly funny.
“Saint Nick,” he calls himself. He’s a neighbor. A good one. The kind who checks in on her and makes her laugh when she forgets how.

But the more they talk, the less neighborly it feels. What starts as lighthearted banter turns into late-night confessions, laughter, and a spark that lingers long after the signal fades.

Saint Nick seems nice...but Amber can’t shake the feeling he might also be a little naughty.

Maybe she should invite him over and find out?

Naughty Saint Nick is a darkly funny, steamy, and emotionally charged holiday romance about loneliness, temptation, and two strangers who collide when they least expect it. It blends small-town Christmas charm with neighbors-to-lovers heat, a single-mom heroine, late-night walkie-talkie flirting, secret longing, and a protective cinnamon-roll hero with a dirty mouth. Perfect for readers who crave grown-up holiday stories with heat, humor, heart, and a touch of naughty Christmas magic.

This was such a great novella, it gave me the Christmas vibes, an adorable meet-cute, more emotional depth than I was hoping I'll get and a ribbon scene, if you know, you know!

Amber is a single mother, trying to assemble a bike for her son on Christmas day, when a voice comes over the walkie-talkie, one that belongs to her neighbour Nick, one that makes her laugh and one that makes her feel things she hasn't in a long time.. The more they talk, the more their connection grows.. After she invites him over to help her with the bike, things might be heating up..

Nick was a sweetheart, caring and absolutely adorable. I loved how he understood Amber and how easy he made it for her to feel comfortable and open up to him. He gave her exactly what she wanted.
Amber was an amazing mother, she was protective over her son and she truly deserved the best. I love how she felt safe with Nick, about everything.
They were so good together, I loved the banter, the way they made each other laugh, how they had this instant connection, both physical and emotional. I loved their talks over the walkie-talkie, it was so fun and the spicy scene was really good.

While everything happened fast, it is a novella after all, nothing felt rushed. I do wish we got more scenes with them though, I really enjoyed them.

This was my introduction to this author and I'll definitely check out more books from her.

It's cozy, cute and spicy. It's a great short read to kick off the holidays season!

I'm grateful for this ARC, but if you could deliver that Saint Nick under my tree, it would be even better 😉

This a cute little Christmas novella, I’ve been seeing all the reviews popping up and I was waiting patiently until release day so I could read it. I wished this book was longer but I still enjoyed it. Nick is like a mocha topped with whipped cream and marshmallows, the perfect amount of sweet but not so much that you feel sick feel. I loved the singing down the walkie talkie lol, sounds like something I’d get up to. I felt for Amber as it’s not easy being a single mum, her ex was a jerk but her son was a little sweetheart. This book was a really fun quick read, perfect to start off my festive book binge.

I make my way into the kitchen, where I rummage through the junk drawer until I find a Band-Aid. It's got a picture of Bluey on it, but I slap it on anyway.
"You still alive over there?" the man asks.
"Barely," I say, holding up my patched hand like he can somehow see it. "Bluey to the rescue."
"Bluey?" he repeats, laughing. "Please tell me that's not your code name."
"Only in medical emergencies," I tease.
"Wait," he says, "Bluey like the cartoon?"
"That's the one." My heart dips a little, "You must have kids to know that."
"Nah," he says. "Just an energetic six-year-old niece and a four-year-old nephew."
"Ah." I nod, even though he can't see me. "Bluey fans?"
"Big ones," he says with a grin I can hear.
I let out a soft laugh. "I mean, who isn't?"

I LOVE BLUEY 🩵 (it's not just a kids show guys, it's teaching me life lessons.)

1800th review!!!!!!!! This was sexy in all the right ways. Nick and Amber, two lonely people that came together, both figuratively and literally. This had a tremendous lead up before the actual sex and while it mostly worked, there were times that were hard to believe. Some of the internal monologues were just a bit much, but that isn't totally out of place with a book like this. Just got cheesy and silly, despite trying to validate itself. The lovemaking...top notch. And that's what's most important, right? I felt like this could have gone on a little longer just to develop certain plot points, ie Braxton, but there was nothing glaring. Just left me wanting more. What can I say? I'm needy. However, there was a ton more to like here than to critique. A fun, spicy, erotic little romp to ring in the holidays.

Naughty Saint Nick by Lexi Davis was such a delightful surprise for my first read from this author. This short Christmas romance strikes a nice balance between sweet, tender, and spicy.

Amber’s life feels like a jumbled jigsaw puzzle she can’t quite figure out. Enter “Saint” Nick, who appears just when she needs him most. Their connection is warm, a little magical, and full of comforting holiday charm.

I went in expecting a bit more spice, but the story still delivered enough chemistry and heartfelt moments to keep me invested. The pacing was quick, the characters likable, and the festive vibes were perfect.

Overall, it was a fun and satisfying holiday read and an easy 5⭐️ for me.

I want to thank Netgalley, ARC provided by Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and Lexi Davis for the ARC. All options expressed in this review are my own.

NAUGHTY SAINT NICK — A Spicy Christmas Obsession 🔥🎄
I just finished this spicy Christmas novella and I am officially OBSESSED. 🥵🎅

I snagged the eARC on NetGalley (bless 🙌), and Naughty Saint Nick delivered the perfect blend of spice, heart-tugs, and the sweetest holiday HEA. Also—and I will not be taking notes—Lexi Davis is a sexy pen name and I stand by that. 😉🔥

🎁 The Setup
Amber is a single mom barely holding it together after her husband cheated for over a year and then skipped their toddler’s first Christmas to vacation with his mistress. OOOF. 💔
Her sweet little boy, Braxton, wants a bike for Christmas… and Santa delivers it in about 100 pieces. Naturally.

After a little wine and a lot of self-loathing, Braxton’s walkie talkie crackles to life—and somehow, Saint Nick himself answers. Okay… not Santa. Nick. And this man brings the kind of energy Amber hasn’t felt in years—both emotionally and, let’s be honest, elsewhere. 😂🔥

🎅 Enter Nick
Nick is peak book boyfriend material. He’s taking in his sister and her kids while her husband is deployed, stepping up without hesitation. Sweet. Thoughtful. Total cinnamon-roll excellence. 🥹
And yes—he absolutely knows who he’s talking to on that walkie talkie. Jogger stroller. Ponytail girl. Once he confirms (iykyk 😏), he is ALL IN on giving Amber and Braxton the Christmas they deserve.

☃️ THAT Moment
No spoilers from me, but listen…

THE BABY MONITOR SCENE.
My heart? Melted. Gone. Reduced to festive goo. 💗☃️

🔥 Final Thoughts
My only complaint is that it wasn’t longer—which says everything. Yes, it’s a novella, but I fell in love with these characters. I read this in one sitting and loved every single minute. There are zero reasons—ZERO—not to grab this when it releases on 12/4. 🎁✨

🙏 Acknowledgments
Huge thank you to Lexi Davis, Victory Editing, and NetGalley for the ARC—extra bonus points because Lexi personally messaged me on TikTok to tell me I was approved. Author of the year energy. ❤️🎄

Don’t miss this one.

Okay, this was naughty and wholesome, a perfect Christmas novella 💖

I loved both MCs so much, Nick was husband material... so so perfect! Such a green flag 💚

And the plot idea was so simple yet good, strangely believable meet-cute with the kids' walkie talkies.

This was cute!

Im not going to lie I went in expecting a solely Christmas themed steamy spicy novella but what I read was more of a wholesome adorable love story that began on Christmas night 😅

Im not disappointed though it was a nice read.. just more cute than sexy so set your expectations accordingly.

I liked the authors writing style, I liked the characters, I liked the humour and the plot. Overall a great read

I actually liked this so much!!! It was the perfect mix of sweet, tender but also spicy story! For a less than 100 page novella this had a lot of emotional depth and I actually got to know and love the characters!

Have to say, I'm not at all a fan of the cover😅 but the story is great!!!

4/✨ for Naught Saint Nick by Lexi Davis

Okay, this was FUN! A short book of less than 100 pages with the greenest-flag MMC I’ve ever read, who just so happens to be the hot as sin neighbor of the FMC. The FMC has been single for a few months with a four-year-old son after her husband left her for someone else. On Christmas Eve, they get in touch via walkie-talkies that were given as gifts to the kids in their lives.

This was so fun and heartwarming to read as a quick snack, and the smut? Absolutely smutting! This is the perfect little read for this time of year. I loved how sweet Nick was with Amber, and honestly, everything he said I wanted to copy-paste into a real man and put under my Christmas tree (sorry babydaddy, nothing personal).

I received a copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Naughty Saint Nick was a book that had the potential to be a little creepy with the use of walkey-talkeys but was actually a really sweet story underneath. Both characters were so likeable, and as a single mum, I could totally relate to this book. This is definitely worth the read on the run up to Christmas, and being novella size is the perfect one sitting festive hug of a book.

This is such a fun read about a single mom who makes arrangements with a new friend to help relieve stress and support her over the holidays. There's a lot of spice in this one! The only thing I didn't like was that this is a novella - I wish it was longer!!! ❤️🎄

This seriously was the cutest read. I loved the walkie talkie aspect and how their relationship formed. Even for a short book the characters developed so well. It was well written as well and the spice scene…whew. This was literally perfect. Highly recommend reading!

"For anyone who’s ever wanted Santa to come early. And often…" Tehehehe 🤭🤭🤭

Thank you Lexi Davis, and the amazing publishers at Victory Editing Netgalley Co-op for my ARC ebook.

Guys this was so cute.

Christmas is a stressful time of the year for most families, especially for single mum Amber Wright. It is during a futile attempt to assemble her sons a bike for Christmas, when a males voice speaks through her sons toy walkie talkie, calling himself, "St Nick". He's a neighbour, the kind that checks in and makes her laugh, so the best kind of neighbour.

What started as banter turns into heartfelt confessions, and laughter, turns into sparks of desire.

This was more wholesome than the book cover projects. Don't get me wrong. The cover was my selling point. The contents of the book was very cute with emotional depth.

This is also a novella so I was impressed with the depth of this book and how it was portrayed so seamlessly in this short novella, especially with no backstory about either character.

Nick, the man that you are is that warm, friendly, and grounded, sexy male neighbour that you can banter with all day. The way he cares for Amber is the sweetest thing. This acts-of-service man also finds a much more um, resourceful use for the Christmas ribbon. 🤭🤭🤭 I was not complaining 😏😏😏

Amber - she's the representation of every single mama with toddlers during Christmas. Massive shout out to all our Mum-Dads and Dad-Mums. You are amazing. You are seen. You are deserving. Most importantly, YOU GOT THIS!!!

I’ve read Lexi Davis before, so I knew this was going to hit me right in the feelings while also bringing the spice… and she did NOT disappoint. This is exactly why I keep coming back to her short, spicy reads they’re always packed with so much emotion, tension, and heart in such a small page count. She is so good at this.

Amber being a worn-down single mom just trying to build a bike for her son? Already hooked. And then that warm, funny, “Saint Nick” voice crackling through the walkie-talkie?? Immediate butterflies. Their banter, the late-night confessions, the spark that just keeps growing it all felt so natural and intimate. I loved watching Amber come back to life a little, remembering what it feels like to laugh and be seen.

Nick was EVERYTHING. Sweet, caring, a little dirty mouthed in the best way, and he just gets her. The way they clicked emotionally and physically was so satisfying for such a quick read. And the walkie-talkie meet cute?? Adorable. Flirty. Perfect.

And listen…the spicy scenes?? Yeah. Lexi Davis knows exactly what she’s doing.

Short, emotional, funny, and spicy basically all the reasons I reach for Lexi Davis in the first place. I loved this one so much. Thanks to the author for the gifted ARC!

Wait hold on this was so cute 🥹😭

I’m normally not the Christmas book type, nor the single mom trope type, but when Lexi writes it, I read it.

And oh my gosh this one did not disappoint!
It was different from her norm (at least of the 5 or 6 I’ve read); it was sweet and gentle and so caring and loving and wow I kind of needed that and I didn’t even know it?

This is very short, very sweet, but Lexi is always able to incorporate enough of a background and story for her characters that it all makes sense and comes together beautifully regardless of the length of the story.

I loved the fmc - strong, resilient, a mother who put everyone first. And the mmc? He was perfect for her. Absolutely perfect.

Overall, 5 ⭐️, 1 🌶️!

This novella was actually a lot more heartfelt than I thought it would be. It's sweet and a funny with a side of naughty. Nick is wonderful and I love how he acts with Amber. The walkie talkie idea is one I haven't seen before and I thought it was cute. Would I let a strange man into my house with my sleeping child? No, but luckily this is fiction and I was loving it. I think I would have enjoyed reading a full length novel about these two. Great fun!

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this novella in exchange for my honest opinion

Amber is a single mom to a four year old son, and she’s just trying to make it through Christmas. She’s poorly attempting to assemble her son’s bike, when she hears a man speaking through the walkie talkie her son got for Christmas. Responding to him is about to change her entire life.

This was excellent for a novella. It made me want it to be a full length book. There was enough detail and backstory that you didn’t feel like it was just thrown together and was insta-love.

I was given an advanced copy of this novella in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

I absolutely LOVED this novella! You feel like you're in the setting the author describes. The characters are lovable, and Davis gives us the perfect cinnamon roll hottie!

Amber is a newly single mom. Christmas night she hears a sound that catches her off guard. Realizing it’s her son's new walkie talkie she begins a conversation with a man on the other side of the line. Nick is a neighbor three doors down and he can't stop thinking about the mom that runs the block, but Christmas night will bring!?!

This is a perfect mix of love story and hot momma hold on! If you haven't read Naughty Saint Nick, you absolutely should! I'm considering getting walkie talkies this Christmas! ;)

Happy Reading,
Crystal

Lexi Davis you done did it again!!
This is the perfect book to get you ready for the holiday spirit. What are the odds that you and someone else has a walkie talkie within speaking distance? It’s quite rare, but not for these two.
Naughty Saint Nick was spicy, funny and cozy all wrapped up in one with a pretty bow on top! Five star rating from me truly. I can’t wait to read more of your work. Thank you NetGalley and Lexi Davis for giving me the opportunity to read this. I had a great time reading!

“He sees the dark pieces, the shattered jagged edges, the things I’ve hidden even from myself, and instead of flinching away, he touches them like they’re worth loving. Like they’re beautiful.”

This novella ended up being far sweeter and more heartfelt than I initially expected. The overall story was incredibly charming, especially the unique way the MMC and FMC first connected; meeting and building a relationship through walkie talkies was such a fun and refreshing concept. It immediately set this book apart and gave their connection an intimacy that felt natural and endearing rather than rushed or gimmicky.

“Yes, sir.”
“Careful, I might like it when you call me that.”

Going in, I definitely anticipated something much spicier (in a darker sense) based on the title, but instead I got a genuinely sweet romance, and honestly, I didn’t mind that shift at all. Nick was the ultimate walking green flag. His kindness, patience, and the way he treated Amber with such care made him impossible not to love. He was warm, wholesome, and exactly the kind of MMC that makes you feel safe just reading about him. Amber, on the other hand, was deeply admirable. Lexi wrote her with such realism that it was impossible not to empathize with her and root for her every step of the way.

“Outside this room, I will spoil you. I will take care of you. I will treat you like the queen you are. But in here, I want you to be my wh*re. Mine to use. Mine to cherish.”

What impressed me most was how much depth this story managed to pack into such a short length. Despite being a novella, it felt complete and emotionally satisfying, which is not an easy feat. That said, I still found myself wishing there had been more, more moments, more development, more time with these characters, simply because I enjoyed the story so much and wasn’t quite ready to let it end.

If you’re looking for something short, sweet, and hella steamy to read this holiday season, look no further!

Struggling to put her son’s bike together on Christmas Eve, Amber isn’t expecting his toy walkie talkie to spark to life, or to connect with her super hot neighbor.

When Nick comes to her rescue and offers to help build her son’s bike, their flirty walkie talkie conversation turn into more.

This was such a fun quick read! Shout out to Lexi Davis and Netgalley for the arc!

Ohhh I absolutely enjoyed this little Christmas novella! 😍 It gave me everything I needed in the moment: it was short, it had christmas vibes, I laughed out loud because it really was my kind of humor, it was cute, it had the right amount of spice and there was even a touch of emotional depth.

I loved Nick soooo much. He’s such a good man and the way he liked Amber AND the fact that she’s a mom.. ohh my heart completely melted!

For a 100-page novella, this was such a fun read and the pacing worked really well. I didn’t want this story to end yet. I rated this book 4⭐️ because it delivered everything I needed and left me in such a good mood!🎄

“Amber has one goal this Christmas: survive it.
Maybe she should invite him over and find out?”

If you’re looking for a quick holiday romance that’s equal parts charming and spicy, this one hits the mark. It’s festive, flirty, and packs a lot of heart into a short, satisfying read. It absolutely nails the vibe of a slightly chaotic Christmas, blending laugh-out-loud moments with genuine emotional depth. The walkie-talkie banter is adorable and clever, the connection builds so naturally, and the chemistry? Immediate and undeniable. Saint Nick is the ultimate cinnamon-roll hero with a mischievous edge, and Amber is wonderfully relatable... messy, real, and doing her best to keep it together.

What really stood out was how much feeling is packed into such a quick read. It’s warm, flirty, and surprisingly tender, with just enough steam to earn that “naughty” title. This is the kind of story you finish with a smile, wishing it were longer but loving every minute you got.

If you’re craving a grown-up Christmas romance with humor, heart, and a little holiday magic, this one is a must-read. 🎄✨
