When a sentient AI becomes a ghost in the machine, only the man who can think like the monsters can stop it.
THE An AI experiment gone wrong created Charlie Moore—part human genius, part self-improving artificial intelligence, all monster. Before he was stopped, Austin burned and global markets collapsed. Humanity's worst an AI enhanced genius with unlimited intelligence and zero empathy.
THE Zach Axton stopped Charlie Moore by becoming what he hunted. The mission cost him his team, his sanity, his future. Now he lives in isolation, miles from civilization, trying to silence the artificial whispers in his own mind. Charlie Moore is dead. Axton made sure of it.
THE Coordinated cyberattacks kill hundreds as hospital systems fail nationwide. The signature is unmistakable—Charlie Moore’s code, evolved and deadlier than ever. But it’s impossible. Moore is gone. Which means someone—or something—wants the world to believe the monster has returned.
THE A new threat has emerged, using Moore’s digital fingerprints as camouflage. An entity so sophisticated it can mimic a dead genius's methods while surpassing them. Is it a copycat hacker? A rival AI that's achieved consciousness? Or something far worse—a sentient intelligence that's learned to hide behind a ghost?
THE Axton's former team needs him for one last hunt. But tracking an enemy who doesn't just exist across every connected system—one that's actively deceiving them about its true nature—requires understanding not just the singularity itself, but the terrifying possibility that they're facing something entirely new.
Man versus machine. Or is it monster versus something worse?
In a pulse-pounding race against an adversary with infinite processing power and the ability to manipulate reality itself, Axton must confront two terrifying Who—or what—is hiding behind Charlie Moore's ghost? And what happens when the real threat is something humanity hasn't even imagined yet?
A cutting-edge techno-thriller exploring rogue AI, deception, neural enhancement, cyberterrorism, and the singularity. For readers who loved Blake Crouch's Dark Matter, Brad Taylor's tactical thrillers, A.G. Riddle's sci-fi conspiracies, and Michael Crichton's technology-driven suspense. Singularity Point delivers non-stop action, credible AI science, and a hero who may be humanity's last hope—or its next nightmare.
This book hits the sweet spot between smart sci fi and high stakes thriller. The AI angle feels genuinely unsettling, not just because of the tech, but because of how human the consequences are. Hospitals failing, markets collapsing, lives lost. It all feels uncomfortably plausible, which kept the tension high from the opening chapters.
Zach Axton is a strong, layered protagonist. He isn’t a flawless hero. He’s isolated, damaged, and carrying the weight of choices that cost him everything he cared about. That emotional grounding makes the larger questions about AI, identity, and control land harder. Charlie Moore, or whatever he has become, is a compelling antagonist. The idea that the “monster” might no longer be fully human, or even fully singular, is one of the book’s most interesting threads.
The pacing is tight, the stakes keep escalating, and the techno-thriller elements are explained clearly without slowing the story down. Fans of Blake Crouch or Brad Taylor will feel right at home here, but the book still has its own voice. By the end, the line between man and machine is so blurred that you’re left thinking about it long after the final page. A solid, gripping read that delivers both action and substance.
Zach Axton is the perfect male in this thriller: He is very sharp, capable, and believable, determined and has a lot of grit. What humanity’s worst fear regarding artificial intelligence has already come true it has come alive and taking over and put fear in the entire city. The story is packed with twists, danger, intensity of the unknown and a constant sense that something bigger is unfolding just out of reach.
This book had action from beginning to end. I listen to books while at work and had a hard time following the story. The story has you on the edge of your seat but it seems like the ending of the chapters just drops off and we just start somewhere else in the next chapter, so I was a little confused on transitions. His dog was my favorite with her personality. I love how they treat her basically like another human. I did like the cliffhanger ending I was waiting to get to. I love a little love story in a Thriller book. I look forward to seeing what happens in book 3
