Absolutely Fabulous Read!
This is a wonderful story that had me hooked from the beginning. It is similar to a book I read previously from a different author but I didn’t let it stop me from reading and enjoying it. It was filled with love laughter tears adventure. There were some tense moments where I wanted to reach my hand in the book and choke someone. I refrained from doing that and allowed the Laird, Arran, take care of business. This is one book I believe you won’t be able to put down until you’ve finished reading it. I find myself in that position with many of this author’s books. She is truly gifted with the written word and I highly this and all of her books. If you’re considering reading this, don’t hesitate. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Better Than Book #1
I thought Book#1 of this series was very, very good ;but, this one was fantastic. The villain's character was well developed as were the other characters. Her words are descriptive. I learned some new ones... always a plus with me.
No tears just smiles and fear as I read about the story.
Recommendation: Read the whole series. You will be glad you invested your time.

Victoria is imprisoned by order of her betrothed Charles, the Earl of Ashbrook, because she had disobeyed him. She is sleeping on a cold floor and shackled, that is until she is kidnapped on the day of her wedding by Laid MacLeon, Arran, and he takes back to his castle in Scotland. Victoria finds that she really enjoys being in the highlands and the people are great, but there is the chance that Charles will try to get her back. Then they set a trap but they catch more than they expected.

Differences! Good Read
Arran and Victoria a totally different couple. This story gets your attention from the beginning when Arran a Scottish Laird grabs Victoria an English lass from an Evil Earl who defiled his sister. Many differences between the Scottish and the English way of life. I'm sure it was a shock for Victoria but also a relief that she has come to accept. Can't wait for the next book.

All the trials and tribulations sometimes lead to real happiness.
This is a truly dramatic story with a cruel English lord who thinks he can do however he wants. The Scottish Laird not only takes control by rescuing the Lord's betrothed and causing an exciting story that everyone should want to read.

Rescued by a determined Laird
What a life poor Victoria had to go through to save her sister. Aaran while searching for the evil man came across Victoria and with the rescue her life starts becoming better. Stability and duty get in the way of happiness and one must fight to win it. I can't wait to read book two.

Great adventure
This adventure was really interesting and exciting to read. The battle scene at the end was incredibly exciting. The characters were awesome. They were brave and honorable! What she had gone through in the beginning was horrible. Thanks for sharing your story!!!

He rescued her from a bad situation. They had different opinions about how to handle the Earl. She enjoyed her new freedom and their way of life. Lots of emotions, turmoil and decisions to get to their happily ever after. A wonderful story.

Fall for this Highlander!
Rousting tale of kidnapping & revenge! Laird Arran & his family are a joy. I thought Victoria was a bit high maintenance & foreign to logic. Good ending of course. The family is a hoot.

Eloise Madigan is fast becoming one of my go-to authors. She does historical romance so well.
Lady Victoria is forced into marriage with a brute of a man, bound and shackled in his dungeons, until Laird Arran MacLeon, on a rescue mission in the name of his sister, kidnaps her and takes her to safety. The character development is brilliant, and I was rooting for the pair and for the horrible Charles to get his comeuppance. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
