I truly, totally, loved this book.

I introduced this book into my 13 year-old's home-school curriculum for the year. He really dislikes reading so I thought this might be a good book for us to read one chapter a day together. Almost daily, I would need a tissue or two to get through the chapter. In some way while reading it or discussing it, I would tear up and start the water-works. My son would either roll his eyes or say, "Cue the tears!"

I'm OK with that. Our kids need to see us emotional. They need to see our hearts touched so profoundly that a "kid's book" wrecks us like that. The examples and individual stories in this book were hand-picked for a reason, and all I can say is 'mission accomplished' Lee Strobel. I get it and hope that in between eye rolling sessions my son got even a small portion of it too.

I won this book from a blog giveaway. That in no way affected my thoughts on this book.

I loved reading this book with my 8 year old and 12 year old! Each chapter is a really powerful and moving story about someone who encounters God's extravagant grace. Very inspiring and a great reminder of God's ability to save people and use them in all walks of life, all over the world.

I think this is a great book for young readers. It’s definitely kid friendly too with a comic picture. No hard to understand words/sentences.

The verses at the end were very broad- not sure a kid would red through all of that. Especially since some appear less relevant. To each his own though.

This was an excellent book for all ages. Lee Strobel, author of the well known Case for Christ, etc books writes this book aimed at kids. The author explores different aspects of grace through interview with several different people. He first shares some of his own story, struggling with understanding Christ's grace. He then moves on to interviews with people he sought out because of their amazing faith in spite of their circumstances. He begins with Stephanie, a Korean woman who shares how she was abandoned by her mother, moves on to Andrew Palau, son of the evangelist Luis Palau, and others. I love that he included an interview with Craig, who is just "a nice person". While the more intense stories definitely show the wonderful grace of God, his story was so relatable for me. One of the more intense stories tells of Christopher, a young Cambodian man who grew up in Phnom Penh and lived through the genocide of the Khmer Rouge. This was an amazing story, however, this would be the one reason I might wait a bit to share this book with my 7 year old, at least in its pure form. The book is not graphic, but I'm not sure I'm ready to share that kind of history with her. I would definitely read it while editing it down a bit for her. Other than this, I though this was an excellent book for so many ages! Even as a 30-something mother of four, I felt touched and inspired by this book. It's not at all dumbed down for kids. It's an excellent presentation of God's grace in a very understandable way. I loved that the author at the beginning of one chapter, went back through and reviewed what exactly each interviewee had taught us about grace. The book ends with the Gospel story shared including a prayer to accept Jesus and encouragement to share with someone if one prayed it. This is an excellent book for elementary kids through adults, especially adults who don't love to read, or are very new to the faith and would like an introduction to the idea of grace. This book will be sticking on our shelf indefinitely, and I look forward to reading it with my kids!

I recieved a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Answers to questions about grace that even adults struggle to answer.

Can God really change lives?

Will He forgive even my worst sins?

What does “grace” really mean? How can God’s grace impact your life? How can you experience grace every day?

This new book by New York Times bestselling author, Lee Strobel, shows how God’s love is for everyone—no matter what. Through stories of everyday people whose lives have been changed, you will discover God’s love and the power of forgiveness. You will experience God’s amazing grace and be able to share it with others.

CASE FOR GRACE FOR KIDS is a great book for kids as well as adults. It shares stories of real people and how they experience God’s grace in their lives, which shows us that God’s grace is for everyone.

Each chapter ends with two questions in “Face-to Face with Grace” which helps children shift focus from the story to how God’s grace will look in their own lives.

This book is recommended for children ages 8 to 12 years old. My ten year old daughter could’ve easily read it on her own, but it is a book that prompts discussion and is perfect for reading one-on-one or in a small group. Perfect for Easter readings about God’s amazing grace.

5 stars. Available in paperback, audio CD, and ebook. 176 pages.

From the Back of the Book:
Answers to questions about grace that even adults struggle to answer.

Can God really change lives?

Here is a book written in kid-friendly language that gives you all the answers. Packed full of stories of everyday people whose lives have been changed, the “Case for Grace for Kids” shows that God’s love is for everyone…

My Review:
Don’t let this book fool you…it is not just for kids. I struggle with God’s grace in some way almost every day trying to explain to others what grace is. Although I basically read this to encourage my tween-age granddaughter to read it, I came away with a better understanding on how to explain how grace works. Mr. Strobel took interesting stories of people with grace at work and put them in simple everyday language, making it easy for kids (and adults) to understand. While reading these stories, my heart was touched by their hardships, but when they realized grace was at work in their lives, my heart rejoiced. All I can say is… please take the time to share this book with your children. It is truly a book of grace…and the plan of salvation.

Disclosure: I was given a copy of this Book by the publisher, ZonderKidz, Z Blog Squad for an honest review. I was not required to write a favorable review nor was I compensated for my review. The opinions in this review are my own.

The book will help Christian families express God and the they feel about the subject to their children. It opens a great door for everyone to explore and I think that the kids will have a great time learning and talking with you about it.
