Fr. Seith is my old spiritual director and a friend of mine, so I may be biased, but this is a fine work. He introduces the philosophy of Josef Pieper, but not so much as an academic, but focuses more on his rich insights into human nature and divine worship.
If you are tired of the utilitarian, work-centered culture that we seem trapped in, this book helps articulate the way out: by living in communion with God, Who gives us our true identity as beloved sons and daughters, and by being transformed inwardly so as to give ourselves freely in love to God and neighbor. This is not only worth reading, but praying with.
