Has potential but needs a lot of work
I don’t leave reviews often, but it’s important to be honest about my experience. This book had some potential, but the execution was severely lacking. The storyline was all over the place and there was no character development at all. There were too many pov and the additional characters did nothing to add to the plot. We didn’t get to see it experience any chemistry towards between Nyelle & Bada. I’m not really sure what the overall purpose of the story is because there’s too much going on. Everything was completely rushed and the pace of the story wasn’t seamless. Then there were so many “plot twists” thrown in out of nowhere and it interrupted the flow of the story. I wanted to give it a chance, but it was not enjoyable at all.

Confusing
I wanted to love this story because the grit is top tier. However, the character development and plot was very confusing which subsequently derailed from the flow of the story.
It was hard to follow because on inconsistencies with both characters that was interconnected as well as the actual events taking place.
I think this story needs revision.

GREAT READ
This was so awesome. It was a lot of characters you had to stay focused, jumping in and out of situations. It was a cliffhanger that brought it off full circle. Looking forward to book 2.

Listen, this book drained me. It moved very fast. There were things that just “happened” and were never previously mentioned in the story. However, the way the last 3 pages went, I need to know what happens so I will be reading book 2.
