Neeki frames her methodology in a concise guide with a touch of humour that's easy to follow. This will be on my bedside table if I ever need some quick advice and validation from Professor Motabar.
Non fiction is hard to rate and review. There were some points in this book that i liked and agreed with such as to ignore criticism, be selfish, have confidence etc. other chapters or “hacks” that i really didn’t agree with, such as the importance of being pretty, using feminine wiles to get your own way, or letting people think you’re stupid so they underestimate you. To sum up- there were moments of brilliance and highlighted quotes that I loved, mixed with statements and ideas that made me think “nah”. There was also just not enough on how to be seen, heard and listened to within a professional working context.
Smart author and hacks. Very well written. Light humour sprinkled that doesn't take away from the powerful points. Non-fiction so slower to read, a guide to dip back to - here for anything that is female-led and centered 🫶🏼
