A huge thank you to Brit Bryndell the author of The Starwoven Crown for an ARC!!
This is one of those series you're going to want to go ahead and read now so you'll be able to brag you knew about it before it became a world phenomenon.
When I read the first book in this series The Starwoven Song I was extremely impressed by the author's ability to get that ACOTAR feel so many of us love while still maintaining such high levels of originality! That has continued to remain true and it's addicting. I was a little nervous when I first agreed to read this sequel. Why? Because as mentioned in prior reviews, I could be an ADHD poster child. So usually when I read a series I don't like too much time to pass between books.
Surprisingly and thankfully this was super easy to slip back into. It felt as if I just finished the first book days ago, not months.. I honestly don't think that's ever happened to me before. Sure, I've had series that were more memorable than others. But none that have felt so effortlessly seamless to my cheese-brain.
Another thing I was sort of surprised by was how comforting it was to see these characters names again. It felt like running into old friends, I was so excited, and I honestly wasn't expecting that!.. In general as a bookworm, having a series as memorable as ACOTAR is just very exciting! Needless to say I'm more than invested here. Kevin O'Leary couldn't be more invested if he tried.. (however if he would like to try, Ms Bryndell does have some GORGEOUS character art that would look great on a couple NYC billboards.. 🙌🏼 I'm JUST SAYING)
In all seriousness this is beyond a serious worth reading! The characters are strong and tangible, the setting is picturesque and lavish, and the storyline is all engrossing and extremely addicting!
This is book 2 in the "Starwoven Duology". The magic of the divide is fading, war is coming, and the stars have chosen. Aelira carries a truth the fae world is not ready to accept, and Lorian has to protect the future at all costs. Book two picks up right where book one left off. We get to follow Lorian and Aelira as they adjustment into their fates/roles, gaining closer alliances and relationships with friends, and more of their POVs. There are some quick battle scenes, but doesnt take over the whole storyline. I absolutely love their love! We get to see more of that blossom as their bond strengthens. If Fyn was your favorite from book 1 (because we all know he was mine 😍), be prepared, we get so much more of him in this book!
This has become easily one of my favorite duologies! It made me laugh, cry, want to throw my kindle, kick my feet, it grabs you in a chokehold and won't let go. The character growth/ development was beautiful. It has Found family, anxiety rep, political intrigue, closed door romance, kidnapping, strong female, green flag mmc. The pace is a little slower than book one, but doesnt affect the story. This duology does end with no loose ends, and is the perfect ending. I cant wait for the next duology following Fyn's story!!
This baby is in the world today!!! The happiest of release days to @britbryndell . If you like soft FMCs, you need to pick up this duology. Aelira and Lioran are just two fae in love trying to figure out the complexities of starting a family and….winning a war??? The last 20% had me so stressed! Looking forward to the next duology centered around my man Fyn 🥰🥰🥰
thank you so much for the e-arc… what can I say? This one was an emotional rollercoaster 🥹 full of action and love! This duology is beautiful 😍 and I was unable to put it down once I started each book. Definitely recommend for a clean romance love story. #aelira #lioran #fyn #britbryndell #starwovencrown
This is the second book in the Starwoven Duology and it concludes it - though by no means closes the door on the world of Nythrel, as Brit has promised us Fyn’s story next, and I for one cannot wait!
Note: definitely read The Starwoven Song first, otherwise nothing in book 2 will make sense.
This is romantic fantasy for the readers who prefer slower-paced, highly emotional reads. While some action scenes are present, they are lightly etched rather than fully described and all the focus is on the inner emotional turmoil the characters experience. Aelira is very much the main character and the one whose journey we follow, although we did get a few chapters from Lioran’s perspective, which I just loved. I am a very big fan of a cinnamon roll MMC and Lioran has all the qualities I look for, unwaveringly loyal, protective without being stifling, ready to shoulder responsibilities and above all madly in love with Aelira. Green flag +++
Now, the plot of The Starwoven Crown picks up where Song left off: a kingdom on the brink of war, political unrest, and a relationship that is still new and uncertain, needing to transition from the rosy beginnings to a real partnership (spoiler alert: it’s hard, it can be scary, and it takes work and a lot of communication).
Consequently, Crown is a darker, bleaker read than the hopeful tone of Song. The threat of war hangs heavy over the characters and impact both their choices and, crucially their state of mind.
Note: I need to put the rest of this review under spoiler as it will reveal a big plot twist of book 1.
I’m very much hoping that Fyn’s book will bring us back into the light with his customary charm and irreverence!
Thank you so much Brit for trusting me with an advance copy of the book. Content warnings: closed door/fade-to-black romance, kidnapping and captivity, sexual assault (NOT graphic), high-risk pregnancy and birth description (not graphic), anxiety attacks and PTSD, blood and physical injuries, animal attack. (I hope I haven’t forgotten any, I’m not great at these.)
🔖 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞: Much appreciation to indie author, Brit Bryndell, for the gifted copy of her newest release. So excited to share my honest review with you all!
✨ 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬: Book 2 of the Starwoven Duology follows Aelira and Lioran as they take on their new title as king and queen of Nythrel. Aelira finds adjusting to her new life as a fae queen challenging. She is doing her best to acclimate, but when her old homeland demands retribution, it becomes increasingly difficult for her to meet expectations.
📖 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐞: Romantasy (Closed Door/Fade to black)
🌙 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲: Emotional perseverance amidst the turbulence of a kingdom at war
🕯️ 𝐀𝐭𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞: The Starwoven Crown brings us from the fae’s gilded High Court to a vanilla and lavendar scented rural respite. Court loyalties and foreign lands seeking vengeance threaten safety and security but family, found family, and new love abound.
🖤 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬/𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬: Anxiety, Cosmic Bond, Human vs. Fae Conflicts, Emotionally Charged Magic
⏳ 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠: Steady progression through Aelira’s emotional responses to the frequent challenges she faces.
💭 𝐄𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: This is a highly emotional read with deep yearning, raw vulnerability, and aching connections. Hope is ever present but bittersweet.
✨ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠: This book will leave you craving a nice warm bath and a piping hot lavender tea.
📚 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: This story really sinks into what it means to become a queen. So often we picture a strong woman asserting herself within an unwelcoming world; however, The Starwoven Crown passionately highlights the emotional trials tempered by unconditional love which helps to establish Aelira’s place as a leader.
A big thank you to Brit Bryndell and for the opportunity to read an e-ARC of The Starwoven Crown!
This second installment delivers far more action than the first. There are battles, kidnappings, dangerous travel, and what feels like a high risk pregnancy that complicates nearly every political and personal decision in the kingdom. The pace is faster and the consequences are greater. What truly stood out to me was Lioran’s unwavering devotion to Aelira. He is endlessly supportive, reassuring her at every turn, and somehow still making time for her even while leading a kingdom at war. His love is steady, patient, and deeply felt.
But I struggled with Aelira in this book. As much as I empathized with her fear and trauma, she often felt like a burden. Not just to Lioran, but to everyone around her. She defied nearly every request meant to keep her safe, let her terror dictate her choices, and repeatedly put stress on her pregnancy. Those around her constantly had to tend to her, and I found myself wishing she stepped into her role as queen with more agency and responsibility instead of only rising to the occasion when forced. Despite this frustration, I still loved the dynamic between her and Lioran; their bond remains one of the strongest parts of the story.
The found family element really shines in this second book. I loved meeting Fyn’s parents and getting more insight into his background. He’s such a standout character, and I’m genuinely excited for his story. I’m also curious to see what becomes of Agan and whether his arc is truly finished or if there’s more waiting for him.
Thank you to Brit Bryndell for the opportunity to read an early copy of The Starwoven Crown.
This was a strong and satisfying conclusion to the duology, even though I found myself preferring the first book overall. The pacing in this instalment felt slightly slower, particularly in the middle, and I missed some of the tension and forward momentum that made book one so gripping.
One of my favourite aspects of the series has always been the character dynamics. Lioran remains unwavering in his devotion - steady, patient, and completely committed - and his love for Aelira continues to be one of the emotional anchors of the story.
However, I did feel that Aelira lost some of the strength and resilience that made her so compelling in the first book. While her fear and internal struggles are understandable given everything she faces, I found myself wishing she stepped more confidently into her power.
I also felt that Fyn lost some of the quick wit and spark that made him stand out previously. I still love him as a character, but I missed some of that sharp banter and presence that he brought to book one.
That said, the final chapters were excellent. The tension ramps up beautifully, the emotional stakes feel real, and the ending delivers a satisfying and heartfelt conclusion.
The found family elements remain strong, and the overarching themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and devotion shine through.
Overall, while I preferred the pacing and character energy of the first book, this was still an enjoyable and emotional finale. I’m definitely interested in seeing where the author takes future stories next.
If you love Romeo and Juliet inspired yearning, a beautiful deep love but with a side of trauma, and also high stakes political intrigue, you are going to inhale book 2 in The Starwoven Duology, 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕊𝕥𝕒𝕣𝕨𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕟 ℂ𝕣𝕠𝕨𝕟 🥹🫶🏼
I don’t know if my heart has recovered yet from all the trauma that Brit masterfully wove into the conclusion to Lioran and Aelira’s story 💔🫠 Aelira struggles with life at the fae high court and craves to be back in Lythira, where she has a beautiful connection to the land.
Aelira and Lioran are getting used to the bond settling. Lioran is trying to protect a pregnant and anxious Aelira from the impending war with the humans, but has developed a habit of hiding his feelings from the bond. My heart absolutely ached for what these two faced and the utter devastation each faces to protect their beautiful star crossed love! ✨🥰
This series has stunning world building, from the vicious fae high court where Aelira has to entertain ladies at high tea, back on the road to visit Fyn’s family home, and then finally to a broken and war torn Lythira.
Fyn is again a stand out character, getting in his sarcastic quips and hilarious one liners. I can’t wait to read his stories next!
This story is fast paced but be prepared for total emotional annihilation. There are moments where my heart could not take any more hurt for Aelira but she somehow navigates it all whilst being pregnant!
Highly recommend this series if you like ✨ Star-crossed lovers 🖤 Cinnamon roll MMC going all touch her and unalive 👑 Political intrigue 🤰🏻 Pregnacy ⚔️ War and battles 💍 Newly bonded fae x “my wife” moments 🔮 Earth magic 💬 Banter 🧠 Anxiety rep
Thank you, Brit Bryndell, for the gifted copy of this book! All opinions are my own!
I absolutely adored this second installment of the Starwoven duology! Book two picks RIGHT up where we left off, in book one (The Starwoven Song). And once we start, the action certainly doesn’t stop.
Now, this is a closed-door romantasy, and is generally more gentle than an 8-book epic romantasy. However, that doesn’t mean it isn’t emotional, intense, and action-packed.
Our FMC, Aelira, isn’t the traditional romantasy FMC. She isn’t instantly ready for the fae world, isn’t an instant leader, and has her own insecurities to work through. We saw this in book 1, but in book 2, she really comes into her own. Her strength is quiet, but no less valuable. Her anxiety adds extra challenges for her, and she works through them, with the help of our MMC and her found family.
Our MMC, Lioran, is a yearny, cinnamon roll. In this book, we get to see a new side to him. He is marked by his gentleness and sense of calm. The Starwoven Crown sees a strength, a violence, in him.
Our characters endure so much and grow so during this book, it is really amazing to see. I love watching Brit grow as an author and step into her confidence.
Brit’s side characters are my absolute faves - we have cheeky fae males, who are worthy of their own duologies ;)
Thank you, Brit, for allowing me to read! I love this world!
I am still reeling from the emotional rollercoaster this author put me through with this book and while this was a beautiful ending to this duology, I cannot wait for what I’m thinking is coming in the next book for this book universe!
You pickup right where the last book left off, with our FMC Aelira now the queen of the kingdom and transformed into a fae with her husband Lioran’s and also with a secret the two of them now both share. With them now fully ascending to being king and queen, and their kingdom now on the verge of war with the human realm and Aelira’s brother as the divide between the realms and their protection from humans fading, they must leave their home and travel to the seat of their throne and where the rest of their court resides. Unfortunately some of those in court do not believe a half human should rule them and with it being her brother who seeks to hurt their people, they trust her even less. The pair must face not only the pushback of their own people, but the reality that their own safety is in jeopardy and they may be forced to go to war.
This book was full of lots of excitement, between the court politics, kidnappings, fae magic and of course the tension of impending war, I couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed seeing the bond deepen between our main pair and how they both overcame potential tragedy and did whatever they could to save each other. I also really enjoyed Aelira slowly start to build her own community within the fae and form connections with new characters to build back her own found family after loosing most of her own. The continued world building and chaos of a world on the brink of war had me fully immersed into the story and I was so invested in all the emotional highs and defeating lows right with the characters. Based on that ending I cannot wait to see how this world continues to expand with what I hope is coming next for my favorite side character! Overall I really enjoyed this second book and my rating 4.7/5!
Thanks to the author for the gifted copy, all opinions given are my own!
This emotional, heartfelt, and poignant finale to Aelira and Lioran’s story deeply moved me in so many ways!
Aelira and Lioran have been chosen by the Stars to rule over the land of the fae. With the transition of Aelira both as Queen and an expecting mother, the schemes and threat of the High Court and Human Realm weigh heavily on Aelira. The only constant hope is the love her and Lioran share. When the threat of war from the human kingdom of Bailoc creeps closer and closer to the Heart, Aelira finds herself praying to the stars, that both her child and her husband, will live to find comfort and peace. Even if it costs hers everything, she will sacrifice herself to the stars themselves to save the ones she loves.
This story had me waiting at the edge of my seat, holding my breath, my heart breaking in one moment and then healing in another, and the cycle repeated over and over again as I wondered what would happen next. Aelira and Lioran’s love for each other only grew, and molded into something that is even more everlasting, eternal, and truly beautiful. The love they both have for their child, Aelira’s own struggles with becoming queen and giving birth, spoke to me so much. I felt everything she was going through as if I was there alongside her.
I’m so grateful to have a part of Aelira and Lioran’s journey, and I cannot wait to read the next story featuring Fyn! He’s one of my faves and I have an inkling as to who his love interest will be.
Romantic Content: 🫑🌶️-Fade to Black (Light Lead Up)
Oh my goodness I have never had a book touch my soul with so many emotions. I was basking in the sweet and Swoony goodness. I was on the edge of my seat worrying if any of us were going to make it through this war. I think I chewed off all my nails by the end of the book 🤭
I experienced all the things right there beside the FMC. Her loving and caring heart shined through this book just like the first. I loved her friendships and found family. The court drama that put me and her both through the wringer 😅 This book was a fun ride! It’s one of those books I’d love to read again for the first time. I absolutely LOVE how devoted and protective the MMC is over her. I could not love him more. Love and duty played such a big role in this story and in the main characters. I loved getting to see her navigate the challenges of becoming Queen in a fae court.
The court intrigue and the war brought a whole range of worries and danger. The enemies enemied even harder in this book 😱 hence my nail biting.
💜 My Wife 💜 Court Intrigue 💜 Suspense 💜 Found Family 💜 War 💜 Court Drama 💜 Touch her and ☠️
If you love romance with a yearning, unwavering, steadfast love, The Starwoven Crown is for you. I love that there is no third act breakup drama (don’t worry there’s definitely still other high-stakes drama!), their love stays true despite all the odds being stacked against them getting a happy ending. I loved getting to continue Aelira & Lioran’s love story. He is such a cinnamon roll sweetie. I liked seeing Aelira’s growth & how she matured in her role as Queen. I would have loved to see more exploration into her magic, I hope future stories share a bit more about that.
A quick recap reminder in the first chapter to remind us where we left off from Book 1 would have been helpful. Definitely read the first book before starting this one or a whole lot won’t make sense at first 😄.
I can’t wait to dive into Fyn’s love story next! I’m hoping for lots of banter between him & his FMC!
I’m so thankful I was chosen to read The Starwoven Crown as an ARC!
WOW. What an incredible ending to this great duology. It felt wonderful to be back in this magical world. This story continues right where book 1 ended and it did not disappoint. The found family in this book is incredible and I want to be a part of it. The love between Lioran and Aelira is top-tier. They are put through it all in this book and they overcome it with their abundance of love.
There is no shortage of distress and tension and my nerves were all over the place. I felt every emotion Aelira was feeling and was so immersed in the struggles that I couldn't stop reading. I have to say that its been a while since a book made me cry and I cried quite a bit in this book. I seriously felt it so deep in my heart.
I can't recommend this duology enough and it was truly incredible. Brit has a way to draw you into the story that you won't ever want to leave.
I absolutely loved that she put a pronunciation guide in the beginning of the book that is super helpful! I adore that Fyn and Lorian are so protective of Aelira. I get such big brother vibes from Fyn with her. I loved that we got even more Fyn in this book. This book has a couple sexually suggestive moments (not a spicy book) but the story and the love is what really makes this book!! It was a little bit slow at the start, but it sucked me in and I was not able to put it down. I love how much detail Brit puts in her writing it really makes it easy for me to imagine everything. This book definitely doesn’t leave you hanging and it wraps up nicely with a happy ending. Such a beautiful duology and I’m so sad it’s over I want so much more Aelira, Lioran, Fyn and Cora. I highly recommend this duology it was such a beautiful story.

The follow-up to The Starwoven Song felt even stronger than the first installment. The story continues to follow Aelira and Lioran as they work to save not only the crown, but the fae realm itself from the brink of war. The emotional pull in this book had me deeply invested and rooting for the characters and fully absorbed in their struggles throughout.
This is not as fast-paced as the first book and that slower rhythm allows for richer character development and deeper world-building, which drew me in further. This added depth strengthened my connection to the characters and captured the beauty and scope of the story.
I could not put this one down and I am excited to read more about some of the beloved characters (Fyn), in Brit Bryndell’s next book!
Being able to read this as an ARC reader was once again a delight. I feel like I’ve been waiting and thinking about this story, this world, and these characters since I finished the first book in this duology.
I absolutely love the world Britt has built and the characters - the theme of found family within the fae romantasy genre is one I really love and this sequel really explores that a lot more as the war and consequences of book 1 start to unveil. I also love how there were characters from book 1 that were written so well that once their loyalty began to change I found myself quite surprised!
I am so happy to know that Britt is going to continue on with these characters and give us more of Fynns story because I absolutely don’t want to let go of this world!
I was fortunate to be able to join Brit’s team and advanced read the second part of Lioran and Aelira’s story.
We pick up where we left off in book one - determining next steps to Nythrel and how to manage the threat from the human realm.
Brit masterfully continues the world building and character development, making me feel as though I’m actually there! I found myself wanting to shake Lioran a lot because he kept wanting to shield Aelira when she is clearly a strong bad ass woman! We see Fyn’s character grow with the introduction of his family —love his mom to death! And I can’t wait to see who he ends up with in his duology (I have my suspicions).
Bring the tissue, protect the kindle and prepare for a special end to this series 🖤🫶

The Starwoven Duology is perfect except for the fact that it's a duology and I don't get to live forever with Aelira and Lioran. But in all seriousness Bryndell has written a beautiful story that concludes perfectly with The Starwoven Crown. The court politics in this one were *chef's kiss*. The tension kept me turning pages well into the night.
What is strongest in this story is the love and the loyalty between Aelira and Lioran. Their growth together in the second installment had me all swoony. I love the action but it's when an author can truly make characters feel alive that I want to re-read a book.
Thank you so much to Brit Bryndell for the ARC and while I'm sad we've wrapped their story, I love that we get to come back to the world!
A huge thank you to Brit Bryndell for gifting me this arc.
This is book 2 for this universe that I have fallen in love with. There is so much action here with wars, kidnapping, danger, travel, risk pregnancy, and a country home I would love to live in.
This pair’s bond is strong and Lioran’s natural instinct to protect Aelira had me hooked. Also, the found family and the connection they have is something I truly relate to.
This was a very emotional roller coaster read for me. I was so invested that parts of this story wrecked me in all the best ways. These 2 books will be with me for a while.
I can’t wait for the next chapter of this universe.
Just like book one this will pull you in from the start and put you through the ringer....
This Duology is perfect if you love being on an emotional rollercoaster (in the best way possible), action, main chatracters that are deeply in love, and found family. This is for you!
I love that this duology gives us everything without losing the ability to be one you can relate to if you have anxiety, PTSD, and all the things that come along with being yourself and trying to be a mother as well.
This was one of my first 5 star reads this year and I cant WAIT to see what she gives us next!
The second book of this duology picks up right where we left off in book one. There were so many new things for our FMC to experience and I loved how much our MMC wants nothing more than to make sure she is taken care of and loved. This was a roller coaster of action and emotion around every corner. I was holding it together until the last few chapters 😭😭😭 ...the story completely hit me with some strong emotions. I love the family these characters have created and I'm excited that we might get to see more of them!
-Royalty and Magic -Found Family -Fate of the Kingdom at Stake -Romance and Endearing Love ❤️
This book was everything I needed it to be. As the 2nd installment of the Starwoven Duology, this book continues to follow King Lioran and Queen Aelira in their quest to save their beloved Lytheria.
The king and queen go through every obstacle imaginable, and you can’t help but want, no, need them to succeed.
My heart was in my throat throughout the entire story. There was no resting until the end.
The Starwoven Crown releases March 1, 2026, and I hope everyone gets it immediately!
⭐️ARC review⭐️ This is my second book by the author and I can’t wait for the third with Fyn’s story!!! I loved Lioran and Aelira’s love story and all the obstacles they had to overcome come. The lengths they went to protect each other and their kingdom. The side characters and villains were entertaining and kept you guessing and waiting for the next plot twist. The ending of the book definitely leaves you wanting and waiting for more. I think I know who the next FMC is but am excited to see if I’m right!
I’m so happy that I got the opportunity to read this as an ARC. I loved The Starwoven Song, and The Starwoven Crown did not disappoint as a sequel. The love between Lioran and Aelira is so intense and beautiful. Aelira was a bit of an emotional train wreck in this book, but I suppose that is to be expected of a woman expecting with chaos and danger surrounding her non stop. Thalen is the worst and I still don’t know if he truly loved Aelira or if it was all a power grab situation. I love Fyn and can’t wait to read his story.

I am very appreciative of Brit Bryndell and their team for the opportunity to read an e-ARC of The Starwoven Crown!
I enjoyed finishing the Starwoven duology! I liked reading about the found family that Aelira surrounded herself with—her support system was unwavering.
The Starwoven Crown was a bit slower and more repetitive compared to The Starwoven Song. But I love the way Lioran cared for Aelira! And I’m eager to read Fyn’s story!
This one picked up with intensity right where the first book left off. War is looming, the divide is falling, and a baby is on its way. Allegiances are tested as the duology continues. Honestly, I liked the first book better than this one, as there was much more drama. But I am a sucker for a happy ending.
A sweetly told conclusion to Aelira and Lioran’s story begun in The Starwoven Song. I enjoyed the hopeful theme of this book and the exploration of sacrifice for those you love. Thank you for sharing your characters and fantasy world with us, Brit! -ARC Reviewer P.S. I’m very excited that Fyn will get his own duology! I think he’s the best-written character!
I didn't think Brit could top her first book but truly this book had me laughing, crying and audibly gasping! Truly a heart breaking yet beautiful and epic story! I am so happy to have gotten to exist in this world! So worth the read and I actually love that it was a Duology, tons of great story and character development in only two books!
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review
