Brit draws inspiration from her hands-on historical experiences, including archery, falconry, and exploring ancient ruins. When she’s not creating fantasy worlds, she loves to read, travel, and spend time with her family in Florida.
A big thank you to Brit Bryndell and for the opportunity to read an e-ARC of The Starwoven Crown!
This second installment delivers far more action than the first. There are battles, kidnappings, dangerous travel, and what feels like a high risk pregnancy that complicates nearly every political and personal decision in the kingdom. The pace is faster and the consequences are greater. What truly stood out to me was Lioran’s unwavering devotion to Aelira. He is endlessly supportive, reassuring her at every turn, and somehow still making time for her even while leading a kingdom at war. His love is steady, patient, and deeply felt.
But I struggled with Aelira in this book. As much as I empathized with her fear and trauma, she often felt like a burden. Not just to Lioran, but to everyone around her. She defied nearly every request meant to keep her safe, let her terror dictate her choices, and repeatedly put stress on her pregnancy. Those around her constantly had to tend to her, and I found myself wishing she stepped into her role as queen with more agency and responsibility instead of only rising to the occasion when forced. Despite this frustration, I still loved the dynamic between her and Lioran; their bond remains one of the strongest parts of the story.
The found family element really shines in this second book. I loved meeting Fyn’s parents and getting more insight into his background. He’s such a standout character, and I’m genuinely excited for his story. I’m also curious to see what becomes of Agan and whether his arc is truly finished or if there’s more waiting for him.
The second and final chapter of the duology following Ailera and Lioren. I personally liked the first book a bit more as I really missed the tension of what will happen next that I didn’t feel in this book. Learning about Aelira’s magic was so crucial in book 1, I missed seeing her explore the depths of her magic in book 2 and left me wanting more. There are a couple quick battle scenes, but the book focuses mostly on the surprise at the end of book 1 which would spoil the whole series if I discussed it here. Told from both of their POVs the story continues as war is coming while the magic of the divide separating the human and fae realm is fading. I love their love story and Lioren is such a green flag MMC who will burn down the world for her. You continue to feel their love and devotion for each other: along with the struggles of figuring out where Aelira belongs in a world that she was not born into. If you loved Fyn from book 1 like I did, you get more Fyn scenes and I’m so looking forward to her next duology that will follow his story next! He is such a fun witted, loyal to a fault character that deserves the world too. We get introduced to who he is falls for in this last book and I’m excited to see their story unfold. Brit ends this first duology with a HAE and concluded their story with no loose ends thankfully. This is a fun and simple read series filled with themes of found family, a strong female lead, friendship, closed door romance, and political intrigue you will probably enjoy the series!
If you love romance with a yearning, unwavering, steadfast love, The Starwoven Crown is for you. I love that there is no third act breakup drama (don’t worry there’s definitely still other high-stakes drama!), their love stays true despite all the odds being stacked against them getting a happy ending. I loved getting to continue Aelira & Lioran’s love story. He is such a cinnamon roll sweetie. I liked seeing Aelira’s growth & how she matured in her role as Queen. I would have loved to see more exploration into her magic, I hope future stories share a bit more about that.
A quick recap reminder in the first chapter to remind us where we left off from Book 1 would have been helpful. Definitely read the first book before starting this one or a whole lot won’t make sense at first 😄.
I can’t wait to dive into Fyn’s love story next! I’m hoping for lots of banter between him & his FMC!
I’m so thankful I was chosen to read The Starwoven Crown as an ARC!
I absolutely loved that she put a pronunciation guide in the beginning of the book that is super helpful! I adore that Fyn and Lorian are so protective of Aelira. I get such big brother vibes from Fyn with her. I loved that we got even more Fyn in this book. This book has a couple sexually suggestive moments (not a spicy book) but the story and the love is what really makes this book!! It was a little bit slow at the start, but it sucked me in and I was not able to put it down. I love how much detail Brit puts in her writing it really makes it easy for me to imagine everything. This book definitely doesn’t leave you hanging and it wraps up nicely with a happy ending. Such a beautiful duology and I’m so sad it’s over I want so much more Aelira, Lioran, Fyn and Cora. I highly recommend this duology it was such a beautiful story.

The follow-up to The Starwoven Song felt even stronger than the first installment. The story continues to follow Aelira and Lioran as they work to save not only the crown, but the fae realm itself from the brink of war. The emotional pull in this book had me deeply invested and rooting for the characters and fully absorbed in their struggles throughout.
This is not as fast-paced as the first book and that slower rhythm allows for richer character development and deeper world-building, which drew me in further. This added depth strengthened my connection to the characters and captured the beauty and scope of the story.
I could not put this one down and I am excited to read more about some of the beloved characters (Fyn), in Brit Bryndell’s next book!
Being able to read this as an ARC reader was once again a delight. I feel like I’ve been waiting and thinking about this story, this world, and these characters since I finished the first book in this duology.
I absolutely love the world Britt has built and the characters - the theme of found family within the fae romantasy genre is one I really love and this sequel really explores that a lot more as the war and consequences of book 1 start to unveil. I also love how there were characters from book 1 that were written so well that once their loyalty began to change I found myself quite surprised!
I am so happy to know that Britt is going to continue on with these characters and give us more of Fynns story because I absolutely don’t want to let go of this world!
This book was everything I needed it to be. As the 2nd installment of the Starwoven Duology, this book continues to follow King Lioran and Queen Aelira in their quest to save their beloved Lytheria.
The king and queen go through every obstacle imaginable, and you can’t help but want, no, need them to succeed.
My heart was in my throat throughout the entire story. There was no resting until the end.
The Starwoven Crown releases March 1, 2026, and I hope everyone gets it immediately!
I am very appreciative of Brit Bryndell and their team for the opportunity to read an e-ARC of The Starwoven Crown!
I enjoyed finishing the Starwoven duology! I liked reading about the found family that Aelira surrounded herself with—her support system was unwavering.
The Starwoven Crown was a bit slower and more repetitive compared to The Starwoven Song. But I love the way Lioran cared for Aelira! And I’m eager to read Fyn’s story!
I absolutely love how it picks up where the first book stopped. It grabs you, and you don't want to put the book down. The action and romance mixed with the magic and storytelling is just amazing. I can't wait for the next series to see what happens next.
