Ben just annoys me now. If Chasm wasn’t so annoying, he’d be a really cool character. A clone whose memories were scrambled by an evil corporation who was given the chance to have what he thought he deserved only to be abandoned and left in the Fallout and warped into a crazed version of himself only to be taken advantage of by the queen of Limbo is - on paper - incredibly badass. But in reality? Ben feels so tryhard edgy. Him and Janine are being written like they’re these totally aloof criminals who think they’re hot shit, but all their dialogue is dumb and cringy. I can’t stand them. Also, I wanted more from May and Peter’s reunion. I kind of wanted May to parent him a little more. I knew she’d be on his side no matter what, but I also thought she believed in her own self-worth a little bit more to not just roll over and accept Pete back like nothing had happened.

It was a dumb reunion with Ben, and Peter worried so much over May he abandoned his new girlfriend to her sickness. I’m sure the last panel was supposed to show him as caring, but I saw him as just plain selfish.

Was that supposed to pull our heartstrings? It sucks that Peter has to be a perennial down on his luck loser.
