This was a fun read. It picks up "shortly" after the end of Godzilla Destroys The Marvel Universe The artwork is hit-and-miss for me; some panels are fairly solid and some not as much. There is some fun humor injected into the story as well as moments that relay the (relative) "seriousness" of the situation. And then you have that final page with those two images!!! What a money shot!

Some of what I liked in this issue:

It is a fun issue, and it has some beautiful alternate covers. I have a couple of them (including the one with the Silver Surfer flying in front of an angry giant lizard). Again, the artwork was a little too hit-and-miss for me, but the overall story is fairly solid and injects a nice balance of humor and "gravitas" in the issue. I am glad to have read this issue, and I can hardly wait for the second issue to come out.

This picks up where the last series left off and they did a great job on-ramping readers and establishing all the new characters. There wasn't too much Kaiju action yet but the stage was well set for chaos to ensue. Galactus getting an apperance is always a bonus.

Its ok.

I've seen this kind of story hundreds of times. Its a bit bland but it has some cool elements going for it. I will keep reading until I get bored.
