She was the safe harbor he lost. He was the storm that refused to pass.
The war should be over, but Vincenzo Demonio’s soul is still burning. With his father dead and the crown finally his, he should be untouchable. But power means nothing to him without Sophie Bellamorte, the woman who fed him, forgave him, and walked away when he couldn’t love her back. He’s ready to fight for her this time, ready to serve her instead of his empire. But Sophie has rebuilt her life from the ashes he left behind, and she won’t risk her heart for a man who once shattered it.
Sophie has found peace in the wreckage, success in her life, and a fragile kind of happiness she refuses to surrender. But when the Irish move in to claim their alliance with the Demonio Brotherhood through blood and betrayal, she becomes a target. The storm she tried to escape drags her back into its path, and the only man who can protect her is the one who destroyed her.
I thought ruling the Demonio Brotherhood would give me everything. It gave me nothing. Not without her. To make her mine again, I’ll do whatever it burn the world, bury all our alliances, and defy every tradition. Anything to have her back in my arms.
He’s my past and my punishment, the one man I can’t forget no matter how hard I try. I built a haven to keep the chaos out, but he’s the storm that always finds me. And when the bullets start flying, I realize the truth I’ve been running my heart will never be safe anywhere but with him.
In a world where loyalty matters more than love and peace is bought with blood, will their love finally find a harbor in the storm or be the lightning that burns down everything they’ve worked so hard to build?

This book is a dark unconventional romance and contains themes that may not suit all readers. Please check the author's note for content warnings before reading.
This is the second half of a duet, the ending of Vin and Sophie's story, which began in A Demonio Brotherhood Dark Mafia Romance. It is necessary to read STORM before reading HARBOR.
STORM and HARBOR are the third duet in a series of duets that follow the men in the Demonio Brotherhood as they rebuild an empire and find the women who will scar their souls. You do not have to read the first two duets to love Vin and Sophie's story, but you may enjoy greater context for overarching series' plot lines if you start with CURSE and SHIELD, the first duet in the series.
Holy plot twist! I did not see that ending coming...
Harbor delivers punch after punch, not just in emotional devastation, but in full-blown mafia warfare. The stakes are higher, the tension is sharper, and the payoff? Absolutely worth it.
Vin Demonio is exactly the man he claims to be. He's ruthless, unwavering, and completely devoted to Sophia. There is nothing he wouldn’t do to have her, and watching that play out is as intense as it is addictive. His evolution across the series, from a reckless playboy to a man who would burn the world down at Sophia’s command, is phenomenal.
And Sophie… she will always be one of my favorite FMCs. She’s strong, compassionate, and deeply human. She sees the good in people and elevates it, but don’t mistake that softness for weakness. She holds her own in a brutal world and somehow manages to make even Vin Demonio fall to his knees. Their chemistry is undeniable, it bleeds through every page in the most beautifully destructive way.
Gia Detroit has crafted an action-packed, gritty, atmospheric masterpiece that not only delivers a satisfying conclusion to Vin and Sophie’s story, but expands the Demonio Brotherhood world in a way that has me desperate for more.
And let me just say… I am feral knowing we’re getting Olivia’s story. I’ve been waiting for her since Curse, and the fact that we’re getting another duet, one I never saw coming, is everything.
After the ending of Storm, I was absolutely desperate for this book. I needed Vin to suffer, grovel, beg, crawl through broken glass, and generally have the worst time imaginable while trying to win Sophie back.
And thankfully - he delivered.
I am nothing if not a sucker for a groveling man, and Vin being brought to his knees trying to undo the damage he caused? Excellent. No notes there. Watching him finally realize that power, control, and ruling the Demonio Brotherhood meant absolutely nothing without Sophie was deeply satisfying.
That being said… this book frustrated me more than Storm.
My biggest issue was honestly pacing. It took WAY too long for Vin to fully get his head out of his ass and do what needed to be done. Because of that, I feel like we lost valuable page time that could’ve been spent on more meaningful interactions between him and Sophie actually rebuilding their relationship.
Instead, parts of the middle started to feel repetitive—like the same argument happening over and over again in slightly different fonts.
And while I completely understand Sophie needing boundaries and not immediately forgiving him, her sudden hard pivot into “absolutely not, never again” mode felt a little abrupt after everything we knew from book one. At times, both of them had me tired.
Also, I have to say it: the spice downgrade was noticeable.
After Storm being as intense as it was, Harbor felt much tamer by comparison. There are still some fun moments (especially with the sneaking around), but overall this was a much milder experience, which left me a little disappointed considering the chemistry these two had in book one.
Now for the good stuff.
I really loved getting to see more of Sophie outside of just her relationship with Vin. Watching her interact with different facets of the crime world while still not fully belonging to it was really interesting and helped round her character out even more.
And Gavin??? I unexpectedly had such a soft spot for him. Seeing him care for Sophie in such a genuine and straightforward way was honestly refreshing amidst all the chaos.
Plot-wise, this book absolutely got me.
I did not see those twists coming at all, which made the final stretch so much fun. And that last reveal??? Now that has me curious. We know so little about those characters so far, and I’m already nosy about where the series is headed next.
Overall, while I enjoyed Storm more as a complete reading experience, Harbor still gave me what I ultimately wanted: emotional payoff, groveling, and closure for Vin and Sophie.
Would I have liked less repetition, faster emotional growth, and more intensity? Yes.
This book has been highly anticipated and well worth the read!! You are pulled on the emotional Vin rollercoaster right along with poor Sophie! The way she stands up for herself is perfection. Vin goes to redeem himself countless times, but always ended up showing his ass. Loved this book!!
Harbor is book two of a duet that follows Sophie a chief and restaurant owner, and Vincenzo a New York mafia boss. It is part of a larger series called the Demonio Brotherhood. Being that this is book two I highly recommend reading book one first as book two picks up right he where book one left off and you will miss a lot of information if you don’t.
Harbor was absolutely brilliant! I loved Storm with the twists and turns following Sophie and Vincenzo but this one was so much more! It draws you in during the first chapter and it does not let you go until the end! It’s a beautiful story following these two from her restaurant scene to his mafia story and everything in between. There’s tension between the two for a good part of the story but in the end they both have a good relationship and it’s a happy ending! I’m not gonna lie i was getting close to the end and i wasn’t sure if we were going to have a HEA but Gia Detroit pulled it off brilliantly!!
I have been waiting for this story to see if Vin and Sophie would have their HEA.
I had my doubts because Vin was so stubborn and refused to acknowledge his feelings for Sophie for so long, alienating her, running hot and cold towards her, being mean and hurtful. And he was so determined to form an alliance with his friend Ronan by marrying his sister, Ashlyn. I wanted to shake him and knock some sense into him -- Vin, you are the boss. Surely you can find another way to keep the alliance, not have to marry Ashlyn, and prevent a war.
I give Sophie kudos. She loved him and did her best to put herself first. She did have moments of weakness but then she would straighten her spine and try to put distance between them.
Vin had his light bulb moment, but did it come too late for him to win Sophie's trust and heart? Not for me to say but it was a very satisfying story.
“My little c*m sl*t. My f**kdoll. Mine. All f**king MINE.”
Part 2 was a fantastic ending to this duet! Vin is all kinds of messed up, a leader torn between his Brotherhood and something more. Watching him battle with himself and everything else was perfectly written. Sophie is fighting her own battles too, and the push-and-pull between them hurts in the best way. Gia brought everything together so well once again. I really enjoy her writing style and how dirty she makes her MCs, men who will absolutely bend at the knees for their woman. Vin definitely has a spicy mouth, which I very much enjoyed. She gave us an amazing conclusion that I was a little sad to see end, but Vin and Sophie getting their HEA made everything they went through worth it.
After the first book, Storm, I could not wait for this one to come out! I need to know how Vin was going to make up what he had done and was looking forward to the groveling. I wish Sophie wouldn’t have caved in so much but the final scene was absolutely wonderful. I missed some of the kinks from the first book and would have wished their relationship mended a little sooner in the story so we could have seen some of their chemistry from the first coming back, but overall the groveling was there. I had so many way Gavin, Rocco and Ronan played a part in this story in my head and was blown out of the water at the plot twist in the end. For some reason none of that was on my radar. Then we have the twist intro into the final duet of this series… I already can’t wait!
Book 6 in the Demonio Brotherhood series is Harbor and it picks up Vin and Sophie's story where Storm left off. It's even more intense, gritty and consuming as the first half of their journey.
“Some loves are real and still impossible. That doesn’t make them less real. It makes them more painful.”
There's so many twists and turns in this story and drama like you wouldn't believe. Sophie made me crazy with her back and forth and Vin made me crazy with his need to control and possess but this is one journey I wouldn't have missed for anything. This couple is absolutely consuming and their story equally so. Now I can't wait for the final duet in this series.
I love Vin but boy does he need to learn for not be so OTT all the time. Sophie does a great job of trying to put him in his place and say no to him. Vin does not understand the word NO from her because she is his and that is how he sees it and all he will accept. These two have a love and obsession that is undeniable. You feel the heat in every scene with these two.
This was another fantastic story in this series. I loved it and couldn’t put it down like all the others! The story being leads me to believe the next one will be just as good!
Here we go… back into the tempestuous world that is the Demonio brothers. Vin is all kinds of messed up and chaos and, at times, he severely tried my patience. He just doesn’t seem to learn and it’s his way or no way. But… at the same time I really feel for him, especially when he tries to make amends with disastrous results. Sophie is so good for him, the one person who can penetrate Vin’s hard exterior, but it’s understandable that she’s had enough and is trying to forge ahead with her own life. She navigates a harsh world with calmness and a quiet strength, although her one weakness will always be Vin. I began to wonder whether the pair would ever be able to be together when circumstances seemed to dictate otherwise. Finally, Vin realises how important Sophie is to him and, amidst plot twists, misunderstandings and betrayals, things are resolved. A big sigh of relief! Oh… and that completely unforeseen ending, can’t wait for the next book!
Great Read. It is part 2 of this mini series. Having to do with Vincenzo and Sophia. It can get dark but not crazy.
Some of the stuff Vince says is degrading but there is a trigger warning list.
While Vince is forces to break things off with Sophia due to a contract with the Irish. He does not want to be with anyone other then Sophia and he sticks to that for over a year.
Sophia finds a "nice guy" who apparently knows how to say all the right things.. that Vince does not... she has zero feelings for him though but he ends up being a slime ball.
Must read

I was waiting for this and man the read did not disappoint. Sophie has been through enough to say "enough is enough" when it comes to Vin. She's strong and a fighter but that only last so longer before it fractures. She loves strong and its not easy moving on. And Vin is OTT obsessive and stubborn. He isn't giving up easy. But man the grovel and the fight she makes Vin go through is priceless. And that ending, I can't wait for the next book.
Holy freaking crap. This was an amazing second part to the story! I devoured this book!! The back and forth, the devotion, the spicy scenes!! I loved this book so much! I loved Sophie and Vin's story. I loved how it showed Sophie's restraint and what she was feeling. I dont love that she was so back and forth (have sex with me but you can't have me). I agree with Vin that was a big mind game. But there were some twists I didny see coming!
Vin now rules his late fathers empire, claiming his throne and but it tastes like ash when he doesnt have Sophie, he couldbt give her love so she left and rebuilt her life, but now shes become a target and theres only one man who can help keep her safe, but can Vin win her back after causing so much heartache? Will Sophie let him back in? Well written engaging steamy action desires second chances and more. A great addition to the duet.
The second part of the duet is just as enjoyable to read as the first. The dynamic and chemistry between the protagonists is still good, and Vin's groveling is more than appropriate.
This is the sixth book in the Demonio Brotherhood series. It’s fast paced and full of twists. Vin and Sophie’s story is engaging, s&xy and exciting. This is a great duet and highly recommended reading. I received an early copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review
