Now that Lucien’s curse is broken, the newly married couple is looking forward to a peaceful Christmas with no spirits vying for Mia’s attention. Those plans are quickly ruined when they receive an invitation to spend Christmas with Lucien’s estranged family at Winterbourne Hall.
As frost deepens over the family estate, Mia’s Necromancy stirs once more, revealing long-buried secrets of betrayal and murder. Someone in the house has blood on their hands, but the spirits aren’t the only ones who need their help. The youngest child of the family has a secret… she has magic and Mia must train the young girl while simultaneously solving a murder before midnight on Christmas Eve.
Mia and Lucien are thrust into a Christmas mystery, full of magic, mayhem, and a few stolen kisses under the mistletoe in this Necromance Christmas Novella that follows directly after the first book.
Fans of Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol, will delight in this hauntingly cozy Christmas tale.
(Necromance (and it’s novella) is recommended to adults 18+)
I never realised how much I missed Lucien and Mia until I saw their novella had been released. Absolutely devoured it. I loved the tender moments they shared and felt so content to see them happy together after the hell they went through. (And Lucien - ah! - always a charmer)
The murder mystery kept me intrigued. The story still had its spooky, mysterious vibes, which I loved. And that one plot twist - I never saw that coming!
A surprise cameo at the end (iykyk). I need his book immediately because I see what she did there 😏
The perfect was to start the Christmas season. This novella was gothic, haunting, christmasy and packed with action and atmosphere. We follow our two main characters as they celebrate their first Christmas together alongside Lucien’s extended family and well Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a haunting or two!!!
