Amy's world has always been broken.

Her brother is dead. Her mother vanished. And school? Just another place she doesn't belong. With no one to rely on and nowhere she feels safe, Amy has one to graduate from high school and get as far away from home as possible.

But everything changes one terrifying night.

Awoken by a ghastly creature standing over her, baring its teeth and eyes glowing, she's saved just in time by a winged figure engulfed in flames, but this can't be real? It must only be a dream.

Now Amy's life is turned upside down as she is pulled into a secret society, realizing that there is much more to her world than she ever thought possible, including many things to fear.

As she begins to find friendship for the first time, Amy starts to feel like she might finally belong. But in the shadows, something is watching. Waiting. And even her new allies may not be enough to protect her from what's coming.

Wings of the Secret Realm is the debut novel by K.E. Deyarmin and the first installment in the A Secret Society series. The concept for this book began as a simple dream, but it soon evolved into a vast world where dreams may possess greater power than we realize.

When she is not writing her own stories, K.E. Deyarmin dives into the stories that others have created. She is fascinated with the creation of new worlds and the timeless struggle between light and darkness. A book lover at heart, she's even transformed one of the rooms in her home into a personal library, ensuring she's always surrounded by the magic of books.

One of the measures I use when determining the quality of a book is whether or not my mind can forget that I'm even reading at all. As I got further into it, I found it became harder and harder to put down. The story seemed heartfelt and each character was alive and unique. I grew to love the small town feel combined with the ever-climbing stakes which I can confidenly say that I did NOT see coming. I sincerely hope that there are more to come in the series as this one has a very satistying ending, though I want to keep reading even after the last page. Loved it and highly recommend it!

I really enjoyed this take on a different type of fantasy. The main character, Amy, was relatable in her life as a high school student handling the chaos of discovering a new world, within her own. The rest of the characters were well developed and entertaining. It was a fun read overall. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series!

The author pulled you in from the beginning. Hard to put down. The characters were well developed. High School is tough especially for someone who feels all alone and has the weight of the world on her shoulders. I can’t wait for the sequel.
