I wasn’t expecting to become a bride for Christmas.
Momma told me never to run through dark alleys, but I chose the shortcut anyway. Now I’m crouched behind a dumpster in a Christmas tree lot. Bells on my costume jingling like a death alarm. watching a man get murdered in the snow. And when the killer turns, he sees me. Calm. Controlled. Beautiful in a way that feels fatal.
His hands wrap around my throat. Fear threatens to make me faint. And the scariest words I’ve heard in my life leave his perfect lips. “Your mine now, Kitten.”
This is a single daddy dark mafia romance with one hell of an HEA. You’ve been warned.
This book is 347 pages long. The interaction between the main characters is negligible at best until page 280 or so. Before that it's minor bickering, public meals, and bedtime. There is zero relationship building. Zero humor. Very little world building. No logic. (How does no one notice her missing?)
The main characters themselves are uninteresting at best but barely written at all. I don't dislike them entirely (except for Dani's multiple moments of being a carpet) but I have no reason to like them either.
There is no mention of their ages at all, so the author just shoved that into the title to snag readers based on the trope. Same with daddy for that matter. Christmas is mentioned in the book but he ain't no Santa!
The antagonist plotline is vague at best. We have no idea what the motivation is beyond greed I suppose. We don't have any clarity on his father's will and why they all kept mentioning that as part of their control tactics. The final outcome is Kosto-whateverhisnamewas being the world's wussiest bratva pakhan despite Dani being successful against the antagonist. It's baffling at best.
The pacing is slow. The time line is vague - a week? Several weeks? I have no idea. It feels like days until suddenly Dani is counting the calendar and puking. The bulk of the story is soliloquizing and bickering when they do interact. All of it is very stilted and robotic syntax that made me want to slap some passion into them. The author struggled with basic details, from one sentence to the next at times. For example two pink lines suddenly became a digital word.
The single star goes to the bottle of Bordeaux being used as self defense. That is the only good scene in the entire book.
Santa Daddy is a mafia romance with enemies to lovers. This is Dani and Konstantin’s story with unexpected consequences that leads to a marriage and love. Their story is unexpected and is done for her protection. I love how they have this instant attraction and the chemistry is I hate you but love you. I love how protective they both are towards each other and how strong they are together. I really enjoyed their story and love they had their HEA. Can’t wait to read more.
I voluntarily leave an honest review of this gifted advance reader copy.
Spicy, hot, darker, enemies to lovers, mafia and all that at Christmas time - amazing. The beginning was a bit too fast for me, but overall a very good read.

Santa Daddy is part of the Broken Boss daddies series. It is a standalone story and is an enemies to lovers Mafia story. It features Dani and Konstantin, he is a member of the bratva and Dani witnesses him killing someone. There can be no witnesses left behind so it was either kill her or use her. He decides he can’t kill her so he makes her his wife. Dani doesnt get a choice on what happens but doesn't roll over and let it be, she fights. His family believes he is going soft and so Konstantin and Dani have to fight together to get there happily ever after. I really enjoyed this story, it's a well written story. I did struggle a bit with the broken english of Konstantin but as I read more I got used to it. I enjoyed watching them both not only finding each other but also learning to love each other while also dealing with trouble. If Mafia enemies to lovers romance is your thing you will love this story
If only the author paid attention to what she was doing, this could have been a good story. She has the same event happening three or four different times... The exact same event. She also has a reference to it happening before it ever did. Come on Milli, proofread your work.
There's potential in her phrasing, but this is like she's taken four or five slightly different versions of the same story and just thrown the paragraphs together haphazardly. In some places, the FMC is an anxiety-ridden frightened little rabbit. In other places, she behaves like she's a former FBI agent or Mafia princess.
I finally skipped to the end in frustration. Maybe if you know what to expect, you will enjoy the book. It could have been a really good story.
I read this as an ARC and I think it’s my first book from this author. I enjoyed the plot - more than I expected to given the way it starts and Dani being a prisoner with the hots for her captor…to go to sex with the guy as a virgin (you held out to give it up to a mobster??) then marriage…but looking past that I enjoyed the relationship development, the slow reveal of the nice(ish) guy underneath, and her showing her strength of character when put under pressure. There were quite a few plot inconsistencies with duplications and references to things that then happened in the next chapter…hopefully that’s sorted with future edits as it did detract a little. Other than that I did enjoy the way it was written.

Dani is working as a Candy Cane Goddess for a Christmas Santa event. On her way home, she cuts through a Christmas tree lot to save time—and overhears deep Russian voices arguing. Moments later, three gunshots ring out. She sees the shooter… and he sees her. His chilling words make it clear: she’s now a witness, and her life is in danger.
This is a fantastic mafia story! I loved every part of it and was so glad I had the chance to read it. The characters are well-written, and I really enjoyed how Milli Rabbit wove the story together so smoothly from beginning to end. I highly recommend this book.

This story had fantastic bones and a truly great concept, but the final experience left me feeling completely lackluster. It was a highly disjointed read, which is why I stopped at 46%. The narrative suffered from a severe lack of flow. I encountered multiple scenes that were pointlessly duplicated—the most jarring being the protagonist trying to break the window, which appeared at least twice in the portion I read. The emotional arc was equally confusing: the protagonist's feelings for the Russian character ricocheted violently between attraction and intense hatred, making the central conflict feel like whiplash rather than a coherent journey. There was simply no narrative flow.

This was fantastic book to read it holds your attention until the very end, the characters were exhilarating. Konstantin is a Bratva Boss, he is a ruthless killer then a female witnessed something she shouldn't have now she is a prisoner. Konstantin likes control, he reeks dominance and a forcedproximity. Dani was forced into the unknown after witnessing something she shouldn't have, then forced into a situation that left her saying I do. When his cousin wanted everything her husband had she wasn't prepared for anger and a killer like her husband, love is not in the equation but learning to survive the war that's brewing.
This book started out way too comical and I loved it! The description of the elf outfit, to hiding in the alleyway and things just jumping off from there! There seemed to be a bit more repetition in this one (I read Cinderella and the Daddy and loved it). Idk if it was a formatting thing, as I received this as an ARC copy and had to read it immediately, due to holiday demands! Then a second copy was sent out, but I was already 90% done. I love a good Bratva Mafia romance and loved how the story was written with the broken English of a Bratva man! That’s always the best part of these stories. The trials and tribulations they faced is just an added bonus! Thank you for letting me ARC THIS!!
This book was absolutely scrumptious! I ate up this dark mafia age-gap romance with a holiday twist. I was hooked from beginning to end, completely enjoyed this book!
Dani, her sarcasm, and inner monologue had me cracking up. Konstantin is a ruthless morally gray mafia man with a heart that beats for his woman. They are fantastic together, loved their verbal sparring and delicious back and forth. The spice was yummy.
Overall a really entertaining easy-to-read story full of action and likeable characters that get a great HEA.
Tropes: Age-gap Mafia Single dad Virgin Kidnapped Explicit Enemies-to-lovers Billionare Dual POV
Great idea but not put into reality well. The MMC was in America and was supposed to be a driving force in the mafia but still spoke short/clipped English. Everything happened way too fast. He immediately wanted to protect her and claim her as his and even though she saw him murder someone and he kidnaps her she was turned on and wanted him to “claim” her. She was poor with no family or friends but knew how to handle herself dressed to the nines and surrounded by backstabbing mafia men. None of it adds up to be a read you can dive into and feel along with your main characters.
This was the first book I’ve read from this author and I can say that it was super steamy. I honestly had a hard time with Konstantin’s broken English throughout the book. I thought that Dani on the hand made some very immature and unrealistic decisions. She was more interested in losing her virginity to someone who she witnessed kill someone else and then kidnap her! Gosh, if that is truly the younger generation today, all I can say is it sure doesn’t bode well for society today if that is how they think. Overall, it was still an interesting mafia read.
This is the 4th story in the Broken Boss Daddies Series which are all standalone. We have Dani who has witnessed a hard man, Konstantin a bratva man taking care of business in a Christmas tree lot. Konstantin takes Dani as his and ends up being a controlling man only for Dani to push his boundaries and authority. These enemies marry for a false security then find becoming lovers has a high cost with danger, betrayal, death and escape. The bratva has controlled Konstantin everyday with danger and fear. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Part of the Broken Boss Daddies collection. Fast-paced start, full of action and dangerous characters throughout. Dani is both saved & kidnapped by Bratva boss Konstantin, who knows Dani will be his downfall. Their relationship develops very quickly and I’m not sure why. The focus is on the couple, with a betrayal side plot and no noteworthy female secondary characters (I love to see how the H relates to other women). It’s “us against the world” and Dani transforms herself into a fighting machine in a matter of hours. HEA.
So I’ve enjoyed reading most of Milli’s books, but honestly this one was really hard for me to get through. There are a lot of plot holes in this book. I’m usually one of those who can read through the story and minor plot holes not bother me, but there’s one scene that’s repeated at least two times during different parts of the book and it throws off the flow of the book. Also, the male main character is Russian, and most of the English that is spoken is broken, which is totally fine, but I felt like halfway through the book, his English became full complete sentences. And then 3/4 of the way through, it switched back to broken English. It was just very distracting to me. I liked the story, I really like Millie. I think she’s a great author, but I just feel like this book wasn’t edited as much as the previous books have been.
"Nothing said Christmas spirit like assault set to All I Want for Christmas Is You."
What a way for Dani to meet Konstantin! Their relationship heats up fast with little restraint and becomes combustible, possessive, obsessive. Enemies are circling, violence is the solution for problems, betrayal is around every corner and there are life-changing secrets. It's passionate, suspenseful and action-packed with a happily ever after. There are some editing errors, including repeated scenes and duplicate paragraphs.
I have to say the journey from a witness to a wife and especially a opinionated one was a bit fast. The way she talked to him from the beginning, even if she saw what he can and would do, was a bit much, and the whole blaming him and defying him was a bit much too. Nobody would accept this form of disrespect if you just met someone. Other than that it was a nice little story, of two people finding and loving each other during difficult times in a horrible society with a lot of violence.
Dani finds herself captive when she is in the wrong place at the wrong time. Konstantine has pity on and an attraction to Dani. This was a fantastic Bratva romance and I read quite a few of them. I loved the dynamic between Dani and Konstantine, Konstantine is protective and Dani seems to push him, Konstantine is not used to it.

I was absolutely enthralled and captivated by this book. The plot is suspenseful and the character build was so good I could see the characters in my head. This book took me through all the emotions and I wish I could read it again for the first time. I think Konstantin might be my new book boyfriend. Dani annoyed me at times with her back and forth feelings but I loved her in the end. It has a great HEA ending.
Santa Daddy was a quick dark romance read with plenty of steam. The female lead witnessed something should not have seen and the male lead exercised an option he did not even know he had and kept her alive. These two strong-willed individuals make for interesting characters when they realize they both want the same thing - love and to more forward from their pasts. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I really wanted to like this book. It had potential. However, there are so many errors it makes it hard to read. Not just typos but plot errors. Characters commenting on things that haven’t happened yet and some things happening exactly the same twice. Kind of like the author forgot where they were at in the story or deciding to go another way with it and not fixing what they already set up.
I really want to give this book five stars. It has great bones, great story at its heart. The problem is that there are time inconsistencies, repeated moments and details, and bits and pieces that simply don't make sense. With some serious revision, Santa Daddy has the promise of being a better-than-five-star book. BTW: the title doesn't fit the story or the MMC. Good luck, Milli.
Dani witnessed Konstantin shoot someone in a tree farm. So of course he takes her so he doesn’t have to kill her. She’s going to be his wife so he can keep her safe. But of course none of that goes exactly to plan. This book has some action in it which was nice and an ending I didn’t completely see coming. Great mafia dark romance book! I did have a few spots that felt like they were repeated but it might have been my copy. I did receive this as an arc but this is my honest opinion.
I loved Santa daddy, enemies to lovers will always be one of my favourite tropes, even better that it was set at Christmas my favourite time of year, The book although is a dark romance is a nice breath of fresh air rather than all the cute cosy Christmas books.
the storyline is really well written, it's dark, but so much love in one book❤️
This story is part of the Broken Boss Daddies series, but it is a standalone. Dani happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. She was a witness to a Bratva crime and Konstantin made her his. The story was dark in some places, but both were changed at the end. It was a little violent, emotional and spicy. It was a good read that I enjoyed.
Excitement in every chapter. The undeniable connection between Dani and Koni made this tale one that was non-stop entertainment. Fighting for their freedom from a lifetime of being under Mafia rule. Dani and Koni taking control of their lives and their family forever.
I hate to leave a bad review, especially when I think it could have been a good story. But I quit less than halfway through when the exact same scene with the fmc throwing a paperweight against the bulletproof glass window had been repeated three separate times.
This started out really good. Fast paced and spicy. Lots of touch her and ☠️. But then it got confusing. Scenes that were out of order. The same scene happening more than once. Something that happened in an alley that was never in the story. I have no idea what the timeline was either.
This had potential for a good book, just needed more in-depth editing for it to make sense to me.
When Dani witness a bratva hit by Konstantin she doesnt get a choice on what happens next, theres no witnesses allowed he either ended her or made her his wife, one that can be used against him by his enemies, if he doesn't keep her close. well written engaging steamy desires drama action and more
