This is third book in the A is for Alpha Male series, and focuses on 50 year old Allison, and her son in law's uncle, Wade.

Wade turns up in town one day to visit his nephew Danny, and ends up staying with Allison in her home.Unfortunately for Allison, now is not a good time having received some bad news from the doctors. Being alone at their age, they find solace in each other, and the more time they spend together the more they realise they have a lot in common as both have experienced lost loves and life as single parents. They soon learn that love can strike twice, and that maybe they will get their happy ever after.

All in all it was an OK read, but It didn't have the wow factor for me and I found myself easily distracted whilst reading. I didn't feel much connection between the characters, they had already met in a previous book (which I haven't read) so maybe that is why I felt disconnected to the book as a whole.

I would probably recommend reading this as part of the series, rather than as a standalone.

YAY!! A book about ADULTS, I love it!! Accidental Alpha is Allison and Wade’s story. It can definitely be read as a standalone but it is recommended your read A is for Alpha Male, the first book in the series. The prologue punched me in the gut and I couldn’t even imagine where this story would go! But the author treats the serious subject with humor, grace and lots of Alpha steam! And Alison, I loved her and all of her insecurities!!

“I’m more wine than grape,” she declared suddenly, bringing my hands to a stop mid- squeeze.

I was thrilled that Wade was there for Allison and he was all man, all the time, and he acted with honesty and truth right up front. I loved the dual POV which kept this book moving along at a really fast pace. I read this in one sitting and really enjoyed it! And Wade, I’d love more heroes just like him! Funny, sexy, protective, he’s the whole package.

“Was she wearing a bra? It didn’t look like she was wearing a bra. No joke, if I’d ever doubted it before, there was no question now. I was a boob man. An Allison’s boobs man. Roll tongue back in mouth. Do it now.”

Allison was reluctant to get involved with Wade but hey, she’s not immune to the Tim McGraw-lookalike. And his humor and gentleness combined won her over. There’s lot of funny scenes and dialogue in this book which balanced out the serious undertones.

I’d known he was attractive. God, I’d made a fool of myself the first time I’d noticed just how much so. And arguably, also the second. But this time was different. This time he looked real. He looked like a full- grown man— far away from old but way the hell past boy. He didn’t look like an imitation of Tim McGraw, surrounded by the allure of being a celebrity. He looked like Wade. And he looked dangerously tempting. Ah, crap.

Accidental Alpha is an enjoyable, quick read filled with the some fantastic characters. There’s sexy times mixed right in with the great dialogue, heavy subject matter and just the right amount of emotion. It looks like the next one to have his own story will be Hunter – after what happens in Accidental Alpha, I’m looking forward to his book!

It seems like I have been waiting forever for Allison and Wade’s story and it didn’t disappoint. I love reading a good story about an older H/h.

I wasn’t prepared for Allison’s story though. It was a bit heartbreaking and I teared up a lot. Wade is such an awesome guy. I understood his hesitancy to be with Allison mainly because he has been a single dad for so long and just kind of a loner when it came to women. I think he really let go of Melly a long time ago to some extent but when it clicked with Allison he knew it was time to go all in again.

Hailey was a riot as always but throw Danny in her shenanigans made for a lot of laughs. It was good to balance out the sadness of what was happening with Alison. I loved them trying to give love advice to Allison and Wade. Danny giving Wade a hard time for sleeping with Allison was hilarious. I am so glad Allison got her Tim McGraw look-a-like and Wade found the family he always wanted.

I can’t wait for Hunter’s story. The bomb he dropped at the end should be really interesting. With the help of his crazy family I am sure he will figure things out.

I'm really not sure what happened, I think it's a number of things, but this didn't pull me in even half as much as A is for Alpha Male.

I think maybe the humour felt a little forced and seemed to out weigh the emotions I thought I should of been feeling. Maybe the more I read the greedier I become, because I just wanted more, more feels, more emotion and maybe a little more romance.

One of my all time favorite books is A is for Alpha Male by this author featuring Haley and her mom Allison as they take a road trip across the country in search of their perfect man. Along the way they meet up with Danny and his uncle Wade, a man who just so happens to resemble the ripped version of Tim McGraw (refer to the Truck Yeah video if you need visual inspiration).

Accidental Alpha is the story of Allison and Wade set months after the prior two books in the series. Both these characters are in their fifties and have experienced a whole lot of life already. They have both found then subsequently lost the love of their life at far too young an age and have never really moved on. Allison had her kids Haley and Hunter to give her purpose and an outlet for her boundless love, and Wade found Danny to give his life meaning- but now the nest is empty with all 3 kids living their lives, and loneliness is rearing its ugly head for both Alli and Wade.

When you turn fifty, you’re supposed to be secure in your life, secure in yourself, and most likely, secure in your partner. And I wasn’t any of them. I didn’t like where I was in my life, I was uncomfortable with myself—especially the frequency with which I found myself depressed—and I didn’t have a partner. And it freaking sucked.

Add in some recent frightening news for Allison, and Wade could never have anticipated how great the timing of his disability leave from work and subsequent arrival on Alli's doorstep would be. Of course neither of them anticipated how interesting their lives are about to get living under the same roof either.

Oh, and let the humorous shenanigans begin! If you have read A is for Alpha Male then you may recall Allison's memorable reaction to seeing Tim lookalike Wade for the first time. If not, don't worry- she does it all again when she sees him at her door this time around too! Haley's makeup consists of all kinds of sass, attitude and drama, and given she is Allison's daughter, you know where she gets it from, right? Wade is about to experience it all for himself in a slightly muted version in Allison! She certainly has the same tendencies but is much less manic than Haley can be.

Wade has been focused on Danny and their work for so long that he is unprepared for how quiet his life becomes without him around. As soon as he arrives, he knows something is off with Allison but he never expected the words that leave her lips when she lays the truth at his feet. Understanding that she needs to feel like she is living her life again, he is only too happy to be the man to help her out with it. He may be getting older but he certainly has not lost his touch at all! He already cares deeply about her just from being a part of her life with Haley and Danny, and he is starting to realize that for the first time since his wife Melly died, another woman holds interest for him in all the right ways.

"I don’t want her to play the part,” I admitted. “For the first time in a long ass time, I think she’s worth the risk.”
“What risk?”he interrogated, making sure I completely humiliated myself.
“The risk of putting it all out there for the chance to have everything, even though the odds say I’ll probably walk away with nothing.”

As Allison contemplates the future, she decides it's the perfect time for a family cruise- as in, they are leaving in less than 48 hours- and throws Wade under the bus with Danny, Haley and Hunter, selling the timing as his idea due to his injury rather than letting her family in on her secret. Since he is the only one privy to her real motivation, he goes with the flow and plays along. Hmm, this crazy crew including the broody manwhore Hunter in the confines of a cruise ship for 7 days- what could possibly happen, right?

I absolutely love the group of characters Laurel has created for us in this series. The warmth and love between them stands out in vivid color, and the combination of crazy antics and dramatic, goofy moments has me alternating between grinning, snickering, and howling with laughter as I wish that these people could be part of my family in real life. Wade is a complete GUY- his thoughts were downright comical, and the interactions between him and Danny radiated humor and familial love. Allison and Haley had similar moments of their own too.

But Hunter remains the mystery of the crew. He clearly loves his mom and sister, and he has been their protector for years. He is also fairly quiet and closed off, and it seems like only Danny has any sort of insight into his life as his best friend. He drops a piece of info on them at the end of the story that had my eyes bugging out and immediately messaging the author begging for the scoop on when we can expect his story! I have a feeling his story will be the most epic one yet and I can't wait! But in the meantime, if you are looking for a heartfelt and funny story, this book (and series) is just begging for you to 1-click it today.

I will leave you with a few quick non-spoiler quotes for your reading pleasure:

“What is it?” he replied nonsensically, holding his long arms out to his sides. “What is what?” “The thing that made it look like I can’t cook,” he explained, and then continued before I could answer. “It’s the penis, right?” His hands settled on his hips. Unauthorized and unavoidable, my eyes shot straight to his crotch. He laughed. Hard.

“Jesus Christ. Did this boat get bigger?”I griped, my previously healthy jog starting to slow with exhaustion.
“The boat didn’t,”she teased. “But the rod between your legs sure is poking my hip harder than it normally does.”
“F*ck, Al. Do me a favor.” One perfectly groomed eyebrow arched. “Don’t mention my cock again until we’re closed on the other side of the door to my room. Then mention it a whole lot.”
She smiled an evil smile. “Did I ever tell you my favorite animals? Peacocks, cockatoos, and cocker spaniels—”
“Don’t be cute.”
“Impossible.”

“Easy and clean are only good for math and laundry,” she said matter-of-factly, squaring her shoulders and making sure her turquoise eyes met mine. “Think about all of the things you would miss out on if life was only easy and clean.”

"Sometimes it’s messy on the way, but if you dream it, you can make it happen. If your heart’s in it, everything will shake out in the end.”

Emotional crackerjack of a story that is a 10 freaking gold stars

*Received an Advanced Reader Copy for an honest review*

So I get really involved in some books, like my whole concentration and being is completely entrenched in the lives of the characters and so far Laurel Ulen Curtis has been able to do that to me quite a few times.

I started on the ARC late like last night and the night of the release and when I read the blurb I ALMOST LOST MY SHIT. I kid you now.

So you can IMAGINE my shock when I've finished reading the prologue and the last word left me...

I was chanting NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

I was really scared to read on to be honest, I was caught up between a hard place and a rock, cos I wanted to know the ENDING and I so didn't want to bawl my eyes out. Cos I was PRETTTTTY sure I was gonna cry. A L O T! And 'lo and behold the next thing I know I was EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP-ing.

That's a good reaction, that's me being really excited. Well to everyone's standard it wouldn't seem really THAT exciting but obviously for me it was cos I got the significance of the release date which was quite sweetly incorporated into the story. All through Accidental Alpha I found incidences which would otherwise seem simple and really not register in our heads but through the character's experience and feelings those simple things made a huge dent in my heart.

So this was a story about Allison, whom we met in A is for Alpha Male, the first book and if you HAVE NOT read it.

GO BUY THE FREAKING SERIES BEFORE YOU COME AND READ MY REVIEW!!

So this is Allison's story and it has WADE in it. Yes this is the reason I totally lost my cool and jumped up and down and was giddy cos I desperately wanted Wade in her story in any shape and form. And what a form it was.

SIGHING!!!!

OMG! Wade, can you say SWEEXY ALPHA!!! That's sweet and sexy and ALPHAAAAAA male to boot. From the very beginning I liked him cos he was sweeet and then when I encountered him in Accidental Alpha, he was sweeeeter and then he showed me SEXY. Holy Batman in heaven!!! The first coming together right after the big REVEAL!! Lord have mercy, he was funny and sweet and damn HOT. I wanted to jump into the book and grab him and kidnap him and have him all to myself. He freaking made my toes CURL.

And then he made me laugh so hard. Oh god. The man has a way with words and thoughts. Seriously all through the series, even when there was serious shit going on there was always the comedy to fall back on. Hales was pretty good at that even though she may come off as insensitive, she knows how to make a situation light with her kind of humor and SHE IS PERRRRFECT. So is Dan-O. Holy mother of Superman!!! Who died in Krypton waaaaay back when. I think y'all will get the significance of that reference. He's just tooooo cute and adorable and sweeeeeet.

In the first book, Laurel mentions two things, her mom and KA. With Allison's relationship with Hales, she pretty much hooked me from the beginning and then with Alli's inner monologues from the start of this book, she sank me deeper. She also portrays her heroes as alphas like KA does in all her books. And boy are they alphas. These aren't just men who are macho and hot and totally drool-worthy, NO!! These are men who aren't really scared of being emotional, open and funny and bottom line they all love to take care of their woman, SECRETLY or OPENLY as it has happened in the series.

As I read on and laughed and cried cos this was an emotional journey I waited for the epic sadness to descend on me and it did.

This was the point where I knew the book was either gonna break my heart or I was gonna have the hugest smile on my face. I literally had tears rolling down my face and finally the blurb, outside of Wade being mentioned, made total sense. And then there was the t-shirt reveal and Laurel, OMG if this was a reference to KA, then LL was one of my favorite of her books.

I refuse to reveal what happens at the end. Because you really have to read this book and experience the awesomeness of family and love and life.

Lauren Ulen Curtis as I write this I have tears in my eyes because this was one journey I am glad I was a part of. Accidental Alpha just wow'd me. And so I give it a 10 sparkly gold stars.

EEEK! I cannot tell you how I have been waiting for Allison's book. My mother and I both read this series and we have a relationship much like Allison and Haley and we have both been jonesing for Allison's HEA so hard. I am happy to report that I was not disappointed at all with Accidental Alpha.

I definitely recommend that you at least A is for Alpha Male before you start this book but even better that you read Secret Alpha too. I recommend this because starting Accidental Alpha just felt like coming home. I missed this cast of ridiculously funny characters and was immediately drawn in by their engaging banter and sweet love for each other. The book starts off with Allison getting some devastating news and Wade dropping in for an unexpected visit.

"This is two times now that you've passed out at the sight of me. Do it a third time and I might start to get offended."

You do not get much of Wade's personality in the previous books but boy did I grow to love him in this one and Allison still totally has the hots for this Tim Mcgraw look-a-like.

"Stupid big penis, mocking me despite my despair."

It is so easy to fall in love with Wade this go around. You can tell right away that he is good for Allison and that she really needs him in her life at this point in time. They both have their reservations, after all they have both loved hard and lost but their attraction is a hard one to deny.

"What if I stayed on this road, kept driving and chasing the love she had to offer, and the sun of her life set before I could get there?"

Their struggle to come together comes with a vacation cruise, crazy antics from their children (which I so enjoyed) and the a very big health scare.

One of my favorite things about this series is the relationship between Allison and Haley. I sure did miss their ridiculousness. It definitely reminds me of my mother and mine's relationship and these two fool ladies had me in stiches laughing.

"You pickled his cucumber!"

And Wade and Danny's relationship was super sweet, touching, and quite hilarious too. But Wade was really the star of this book for me. He was so unexpected. So sweet, kind, nurturing, and loving right when Allison needs all that so badly.

"Then why are you starting at me like that?"
"Because I can't look away."

Now, don't get me wrong. Wade may be a total sweetheart but he sure knows how to go all alpha and give a good ass-smack in the bedroom. ;)
I loved this book so much. It made me laugh. It made me cry. And then it made me laugh harder. My favorite of the series, yet! Oh and I cannot wait for Hunter's story! Soon, please, Laurel!~Amie

Two broken hearts to mend.
One chance in sight.
Her and I together, we finally got it right.

"Years I'd been planning - searching - for something work risking myself for. And now, I'd finally found it. By accident."

Allison Whitfield was lucky in love one time in her life, but he was taken from her far too soon, and from then on, she's devoted herself to her children and making sure they are taken care of, and she's done one hell of a good job, but along the way, she lost what it meant to be a woman...to be desired...to feel the kind of connection and find the kind of alpha male to take care of her and become her partner like the ones she and her daughter, Haley, read about in their romance novels.

But that's all about to change because the minute Wade Smith re-enters Alli's life and realizes that their connection is something worth risking everything for, he dusts off his male prowess and swoonworthy moves and works to claim the woman who's made him feel more in a few encounters than he's felt in an extremely long time, which may be easier said than done, though, due to both Alli and Wade's second guessing and hesitant actions to move forward. Both of them have similar pasts, and it makes sense that they both would have uncertainties about giving into their attraction for one another, especially with the news Allison gets at the onset of the text, but with a little help from Danny and Haley and a lot of courage, their "accidental" beginning might just be the ending they both deserve.

I love that Laurel gives readers both Allison and Wade's perspectives in Accidental Alpha; it adds the necessary insight to understand both of their fears and overthinking. Both lost a tremendous amount when their respective spouses died and then Wade committed himself to Danny and Allison to Haley and Hunter. But in this story, they're able to see what they've been missing and work to make their own happiness.

The crazy that is Haley and Danny is strewn throughout the pages of Accidental Alpha, which definitely adds to the story because it lightens times of tension and reminds everyone not to take everything so seriously. Alli and Wade's blossoming relationship is at the forefront of the story but so is their close relationships with their kids. There's something extremely special about the connection they all share, and it helps them all to move past the pain and find their happiness.

Allison and Wade's story has a great mix of light hearted comedy, a bit of slapstick humor, some alpha steam, and heartfelt moments that will appeal to a multitude of readers. Accidental Alpha proves that broken hearts can be mended, and if people are willing to take a chance, love, even if by accident, can be worth the risk.

Loved! The Alpha series keeps getting better. These books are laugh out loud funny and full of snark but with just the right amount of angst and sexy times. You get all the feels! I loved how Wade made Ali feel like a woman when she was feeling lacking. He was sweet but demanding, you knew he was an all around good guy but had his own lingering emotions from the past. Ali was perfect with how she made him work for it after he screwed up. Haley and Dan-o are just so cute and are great comedic relief. I still love how Dan is just so smitten and feeds off of her quirkiness. Both these couples are just so endearing. Hunter, what can I say about the Manwhore himself other than I think he is honing yo fall hard and fast when the love bug bites him in the ass. Holy ending...way to leave us hanging and wanting more! This is one of my go to series, has it all and Laurel is one of my one click authors for sure. Do yourself a favor and one click this fast paced book, you won't be disappointed!

Accidental Alpha is about Allison who is Haley's Mom and hunky Wade from A is in Alpha. It was so refreshing to read a book about people who are in their fifties. It Is something sadly hard to find in our book world and made me enjoy this book that much more. Allison and Wade were both sexy and fun yet they both had past experiences that aren't always east to let go of and move on from. It's written in true Laurel fashion in that it has humor thrown in throughout. I love how she can take a serious story and lighten it up with funny dialogue. I have truly enjoyed this series and look forward to seeing what happens with Hunter in the future.

Accidental Alpha
Laurel Ulen Curtis

Accidental Alpha is the third book in the Alpha Male Series by Laurel Ulen Curtis. We revisit Allison (Haley's Mom) and Wade (Danny's Uncle) who were introduced in the first book of the series, A is for Alpha Male.

Allison is grateful that Haley and Danny have found their happily ever after, but isn't interested in looking for one of her own. She is very surprised to find Wade on her front doorstep (having just been placed on disability leave from work). It was cute to see how quickly the two of them fell into a routine together and how easily a romance with an older couple can feel fresh and new.

"One of the hardest parts of finding someone at my age was finding someone who embraced who you were now along with who you used to be."

"I think you broke my hip!" "I'll pay for a replacement," He teased, amusing me to no end. All the heroes I read about in my novels were always offering to replace ripped panties. Mine was offering to replace a hip.

Some of the best parts of the book include interactions with Allison and her daughter Haley. I loved how frankly they spoke with each other. The conversations, even when hilarious, always had an underlying loving and caring tone to them. Some of the expressions were so funny that I had to send excerpts to my friends. I must admit there were a few times that I snorted in laughter.

"You think it's easy for me to talk about you buttering his roll?" - Haley to Allison

Wade was your typical male - but with a heart. He had similarly hilarious conversations with Danny regarding his relationship with Allison and the back and forth conversations between the men and the women really made the book for me. Even though the story is about Wade and Allison - at the heart of the book is a story of togetherness for this new melded family.

"I was absolutely perfect. This, right here, with him and my kids was how I wanted to spend the rest of my life." - Allison

In addition, Laurel Ulen Curtis gives us something to look forward to with Hunter (Allison's son). We get a snippet of insight into his character and it leaves me wanting much more!

Accidental Alpha is a sweet and quirky romance with just a bit of serious undertone. The book makes for a nice beach read. You don't have to over think it, but you do get the nice, happy love story with heart and a bunch of humor. 4 stars for Accidental Alpha!

"Neither of us knew anyone else in the world existed as my lips hit hers. Her long neck stretched to give me better access, and I took it, ravishing her mouth and never looking back. I didn't care about anyone else or anything. At last, indeed." - Wade

When I first started reading A is for Alpha Male (the first book in the series) I definitely had a lot of fun with Haley and her story with Danny :) Alison was an awesome second character and the best addition to Haley's craziness. Both of them combined were the best team to crack you from laughter :D I was also quite intrigued by Alison and her attraction to Wade. That's why when I found out that I have the opportunity to read their story, I jumped at the chance :) I have to say that I usually prefer to read stories with younger characters but this one definitely caught and kept my attention.

Even though, both Alison and Wade are at the age of 50 or over, I still felt close to them and managed to connect with their story, their problems and their feelings for each other. Their story is not an easy one and the hardships that they have to conquer together are definitely some of the most difficult ones, something every woman is scared of. I loved reading how Wade supported Alison through everything and gave her the shoulder and help she needed during her most vulnerable period. It was also interesting to see how they both help each other to heal old wounds and open their hearts to the possibility of a new love.

Despite all the hardships and heartbreaks, the book still has a light feeling thanks to the constant cracks and jokes by Haley and Danny :D Those two are just perfect for each other :) They can lighten every single situation and when their left to their own devices, they can make you laugh for hours :D One of things I love the most about them is that they don't care who is around and who they are talking to. They are just happy an in love and they show it to the world :) It was awesome to revisit with them and to see them through Alison and Wade's eyes :)

In a few words, I definitely loved this book :) Actually I recommend the whole series. It is simply a must read. The hardships and heartbreaks are quite nicely balanced with humor which makes the story easy to read and at the same time gets you involved in the character's lives. Personally, I haven't encountered such series in quite some time and I am anxious for the next book to come out. I am sure that Hunter's story will be another awesome addition :)

Accidental Alpha by Laurel Ulen Curtis
4 stars
The previous book(s) in the series has more of a humors plot, but with Accidental Alpha it still has some humors part but it also takes on a more serious topic too.
This is Allison’s book. You know the mother to crazy-almost-borderline-crazy-Hailey. Allison is more of the calm of the two.
The Characters…
I liked Allison. I like that she is more of the level headed between her and Hailey. She balances the two out. I like that about her.
Wade is more of workaholic kind of guy. Until he comes to visit Danny. When he’s in Tennessee you get to see more of the laid back kind of guy. I really liked him and Allison together. They went well together. They got along perfectly. And another thing I liked was he got their crazy banter. I think it would take a special guy to fit in their little group. Wade was a perfect fit.

Not going to go into details about Hailey, Danny and Hunter. You know with all of them together it will be awesome and you get a lot of awesome in this book..
The Plot…
Not going to go into details here but just know that this book takes on a different tone as to where the first book was more comedy. This book has a more serious plot. But I will say this. The book does have come comedy and you will laugh a few times throughout it.
Final Thoughts…
Overall I thought it was a great addition to the series. I’m glad we got the Mothers book. I thought she should have had HEA. She totally deserved it. Loved Allison and Wake together. They were so cute.

One of thing I would like to mention is I need Hunter’s book Pronto.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I just loved Accidental Alpha!!!

This is probably the best book in the series, the MC are in their fifties and much wiser and despite the fact that they had their own misunderstandings they also had a much more balanced relationship.

Alison is just amazing as a woman, lover and mother, she puts her children's needs before herself, she tries to make everyone happy and it shows that she succeeds!

Wade...(aww man...)you have to love him... He is adorable, despite the fact that his is in his fifties and he has a great deal of life experience its still shows that in a serious relationship he was inexperienced and didn't know what to do or say to not screw up!

The book start a couple of months after the first ones , with Alison finding out that the results of her medical tests aren't right.

Alison and Wade are thrown together by Dani( Wade's son) and they try to make the best of the situation.I love how Wade treat Alison, that he cocked for her and helped her even when she didn't wanted.

Alison decides it's time for a family cruise, they are leaving in less than 48 hours and throws Wade under the bus saying that the timing is his idea because of his injury( that he has from work) rather than letting her family in on her secret(test results). Since he is the only one that knows her real motivation, he goes with the flow and plays along.

They're a few thinks that happens on the cruise that basically solidified Alison's and Wade relationship, the banter between the two of them and again between the rest of the gang was epic as always.

I love the end, it was beautiful, especially the shirts idea...and Hunter's bomb...that was phew!!! Can't wait for Hunters book!!!

Bottom line if you want a book that is going to make you laugh, cry a little and give you a warm and fuzzy filling this is the book for you.

Accidental Alpha is follows the story of Allison and Wade. When I heard they were finally getting their story, I was so excited. We first meet up with them in A is for Alpha Male. There was just something about the two of them that made me want to know more.

I really wasn’t sure what to expect with Allison and Wade’s story. But, I wasn’t prepared at all for the direction that Allison’s story would take. It was a difficult thing to go through, but I was so happy that Allison had the support that she needed. Wade, I can completely understand his hesitation for starting up a relationship with Alli. Once you find out his history, you too will understand.

Overall, I found this book to be really enjoyable. The characters were so fun and enjoyable. I really enjoyed every second that we got to spend with them. This time around, the story was told from alternating points of view. I loved the writing style and the humor. I was laughing so much, especially when Danny and Haley were involved. That being said, this book also had a more serious tone to it and I loved that this was story about older characters and getting to see things through that perspective. As I said before, Accidental Alpha had really great humor, snark, steam and just the right amount of angst. I really loved the ending! There is no cliffhanger, however, Hunter dropped one crazy bomb and I’m really looking forward to reading his story!

If you are a fan of A is for Alpha, then this book is a must read. If you haven't, why not??!!

Accidental Alpha is the story about Allison, Haley's mom, and Wade, the Tim McGraw lookalike. It picks up a few weeks after A is for Alpha ended.

I will admit, I am normally a sucker for college aged romances or books about people in their twenties. However, it was a nice break to get a book about an older couple and how they dealt with things. It was still fun and sexy!!

Wade comes to town and needs a place to stay. And Allison has an empty house so........
Thankfully he shows up right as Allison gets some bad news. He is there to help her deal with some issues and she is able to show him what it means to have a family

We gets lots of Haley and Danny!! I forgot how insane and funny they are. I wish I had a couple like them in my family. It would never get boring!!

I really enjoyed this story. It was short and a quick read. It was funny and several times I was laughing out loud. At times, I felt like things got a bit rushed, but overall, it's a great companion to A is for Alpha. I can't wait to find out what Hunter is up to!!

ARC for honest review.
So I'm supposed to be writing a review for this book, but I just have no words...
Ok, here are my thoughts... "Holy crap, she has done it again!" Laurel Ulen Curtis is one of the best writers I have ever had the pleasure and privilege of reading. You can tell from the moment that you start reading her books that they truly mean something to her- it comes from the heart. Not only is this her life's work, but her writing is her greatest work! And she has added another great work to her writing belt! Not only this book but the whole Alpha Series come from her heart and is then transfered into ours so it will be one of those books that you will forever remember. She makes you wish that you were one of the characters in her books so that you could have that spectacular relationship that Hailey has with here mom, or that Allison begins to have with Wade! If you want to read a series about a crazy relationship between a mother and daughter, or the struggles a mother goes through when she learns that not everything in her world is ok then read this series! I guarantee you will not regret it! ...I guess I found my words ;-)

I absolutely LOVED this book!
I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it at first, even though I have been looking forward to Allison and Wade's story, as I am used to reading about couples in their 20's-30's not their 50's, but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Just from starting the prologue I knew that I wouldn't be getting much done around my house as there was no way I would be putting it down until it was finished!
This book had me feeling lots of different emotions all at once, feeling sad at what Allison was going through, to laughing so much I cried at all the antics that Haley and Danny were up to. It was a good mixture of sweet, sexy and funny and was all in all another fantastic book to an already brilliant series! I am looking forward to seeing what happens in Hunter's book next but am hoping there is not too long of a wait (hint, hint) lol
And if you haven't read the other books in this series what are you waiting for? Hurry up and get them all as you will not be disappointed!

**SPOILERS**

I'd like to thank Laurel again for allowing me to read this before it was released. It was an honor. Truly. As it always is. I am such a big fan not only of this author but of this series. Now I loved Dan effing Smith but Wade was on a whole other level. I love that man. In fact I love all of these characters. I love that Dan and Hales were back again. I love Hunter. But most of all I loved Allison. Having a mom who had cancer I know all of the feelings all too well. Her strength was amazing. The support and love for her was undeniable. I loved how this book took on a new story. A little more series at times.

The laughs in this book had me peeling in my pants at times! I couldn't read in public!! I love how this was in each book of the series. And as always with a great series you are sad to see them go. But... They live on with you.

Now... Perhaps we could get a novella with Hunters story? Maybe a full book? Alpha Daddy? Surprise Alpha? Born Alpha? Because honestly I would just freak the hell out if that happened!!!!!

I'm totally not into older dudes but man, this guy sent my heart aflutter.

Allison is just the kind of kickass chick that you wanna be when you grow up. So the two of them together.....AWESOME!!! Add in Hailey, Dan and Hunter(better be a book about Hunter.....Just Sayin')and this book will have you laughing and giving you the feels!

If you loved the first two books, you will more than enjoy the third. Accidental Alpha actually drew me in more than the previous too. It gave you a more in depth insight into Allison which aloud you to fall in love with her character (if you hadn't already). Being as the main characters are older, the third installment of A is for Alpha Male took on a more mature nature. I devoured it!

Allison- 50 years old, mother of two, lost a lover early on and never got over him. What kept her moving was taking care of her children.

That is, until Wade walked into her life.

Wade- Single dad to his son, Danny. Now with an empty nest he realizes how empty his heart is as well.

This is a story of two lonely people who have devoted their lives to raising their children but when interacting with each other, they find out there is more to life.

This book was really a great read that has the ability to bring you through a plethora of emotions!

I'm so happy that this is Allison's book. Her and Wade are fan-frickin-tastic together. Accidental Alpha is clever, emotional, funny, and sexy. Plus, it's about an older couple, which, I'll be honest, I was a little nervous about going in. I'm used to college age and twenty-somethings. I had nothing to worry about though, the chemistry is off the charts, and all the characters you love are back in their own unique form. This book is sassy, sweet, and the antics are roll on the floor funny. If you haven't started this series yet, I'd recommend the previous two first, as this was so much more enjoyable because of them. This book is a great new story in a fantastic series that you just have to read!

I received this book from the author for an honest review.
This was my first book to read by Laurel Curtis. I absolutely fell in love with this story. It was so refreshing to read a story about a mom, not someone who was 20 or 30. It was heartbreaking in parts, there was humor and I definitely needed Kleenex at parts.

The characters were perfect, the caring mom, sassy mouthed daughter and the intense son. Wade and Dan fit into the story so well. This story will tug at your heart.

My jaw dropped at the ending. I didn't realize this was a series, now I can't wait to read the first two and the next one.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy for an honest review. I think you should buy this book, I was not disappointed. As a matter of fact, I totally loved this book. This series in general has been great, but with Allison's health (that you find out about in this book) it really touched home. Allison and Wade had good chemistry in the previous book and it exploded in this story. I loved that Haley, Danny and Hunter all had appearances in this book as well. It was full of humor (I mean with Haley, Danny and Allison how could it not). I could not put it down and actually finished reading it in the car.  The ending had a surprise and I am on pins and needles as I wait for Hunter's story.

Allison and Wade what a refreshingly different couple to read about. This book picks up shortly after book 1 and it was a good read. Nice to read something where the characters are of a different age range to what i usually read. Allison and Wade have a lot to overcome to get to a place that is good. And it was an interesting read on how they ventured through some difficult times. This book has humour though and that is good as it lightens the book and i loved the humour in it, i did proper giggle along while reading it. A serious worth a read for sure i preferred books 1 and 2 but found this a refreshing change to read

Let me say that I LOVE this series and this group of characters. I love the relationship between Allison and Haley , they have the perfect mother and daughter relationship. Laurel writes a good book! The story flows amazingly and the characters are fun and easy to relate to. I was happy to see that Allison did afterall get her Tim McGraw!! They found each other when the time was just right for them. Wade was the perfect match for someone like Allison in every way !There are bits of sadness in the book but the use of humor helps keep it lighthearted. I’ll say it again, I LOVE this series and this is definitely a must read!
