I love art. I love the stories you can tell with imagery and color. I can lose myself in a world I create, evoking emotions that help others connect and be seen.

I’m full of ambition, stardust, and hope. These things drive me. Until one day, my entire life feels like it’s crashing, and someone is after me.

Determined to keep going, I find myself in Sleepy Coldwater, a small town in Alaska, seeking healing and adventure. What I didn’t expect was to be blindsided by a snowstorm in the mountains, leaving me desperately in need of a life-saving sanctuary.

Gavin Ariksen finds me.

Handsome. Tall. Mysterious.

With glowing blue eyes that hold a tortured past. There’s an intoxicating connection between us, dripping with tension.

The thing is, we’re both souls with warm, broken hearts.

As time passes, the snow keeps rolling in, and truths unfold. Suddenly, this may be a storm I cannot survive.

This is a fast-paced romantic suspense standalone.

Dnf at 20% Bad, corny writing, fast paced and OW drama. MMC is sleeping with this other woman that lives at the ranch and that's when I was out. Fuck this 😂 she’s actually a character throughout the whole book (I skipped through the rest and it sucked). I thought this was some kind of hermit MMC but nope.

Wow! Ok when I say this book has it all…… omg it had it all! We start off with an eerie beginning that just captures you from the start. Past trauma that tugs at your heart strings, and a broody MMC that is WAY obsessed with his girl. Gavin has is bad for Coraline and my, touch her and die loving vibes was here for it! There is forced proximity when Cora is in an accident in a snow storm after someone tries to kill her and she wakes up in a cabin with grumpy Gavin. But who’s after her, who can she trust? Can she love again after a broken marriage? Omg this is a must read romance with suspense that keeps you wanting to know more!

Cover ate. The book… skipped the meal.
FMC was doing everything except making sense 🤡
Plot twist was so obvious it practically introduced itself in chapter one.
Amazing premise, disappointing execution.
It had potential… and then just didn’t.

I am having a generational crash out over how horrendous this book is. Buckle up because I’m not holding back. SPOILERS IF YOU DARE

You can’t convince me this book wasn’t written in under 30 minutes. Within 2 chapters “I” was said 121 times. The writing felt like the love child of Disney acting and vertical dramas. The tone was incredibly childish that I’m convinced a teenager wrote it. It felt like a book trying to get viral quotes. “My celestial artist”, “Haunt me. Ruin me. Shatter me.” 🙄 corny

Let’s visit 2 plot holes that happened within sentences of each other shall we? The FMC asks Merelyn where the MMC’s parents are and she replied,
“He hasn’t told you?
“No”
“They’re dead. “
UM HOLD THE PHONE LETS REWIND THAT ONE 9% EARLIER:
Gavin’s legit words to the FMC: “Anyways, they’re dead. Died before I could understand the meaning of death.” SOUNDS LIKE HE PLAINLY TOLD YOU TO ME??????? OH BUT WAIT IT GETS BETTER! Because Merelyn tells her they died from the serial killer to which our FMC says, “The Sleepy Coldwater Serial Killer? I’ve never heard of them.” REWIND THE DAMN TAPES AGAIN. She legit pulled out a newspaper in the basement that was about the damn serial killer!!!!! Then a few sentences later after saying she had never heard of him, acknowledges in her thoughts about what she read on the newspaper. YOU JUST SAID YOU NEVER HEARD OF THE KILLER THOUGH. The author can’t get her own story straight. The FMC asks herself “Why does Gavin have it? Is that newspaper related to his parents’ murders?” This girl was written to have rocks in her brain. Get me OUT OF HERE!!!! I can’t give a single positive quality about this girl. She was written as an insufferable idiot. The MMC is also awful because his obsession came out of no where. Had me cringing the whole time.

Don’t even get me started on the fact that her being able to see ghosts was USELESS. It was completely pointless to the storyline!!!!!!!! One of the ghosts even grabbed her hair and it was never acknowledged again?!

How about how we don’t even discuss who his father serial killed OR that there was a copycat killer. Pointless.

I’m back to the writing because why was she being chased by a moose then IMMEDIATELY confronted by wolves only to be IMMEDIATELY covered by an avalanche? This story had to be a fever dream written on a napkin.

Wanna talk about the absolute ridiculousness of the spice? Let’s. It came out of NOWHERE. What do you mean he’s SLAPPING her in the face and she’s calling herself his cck whore the first time they’re fcking? Mind you they hadn’t even kissed before this night and she would fck her husband with the lights off. And you’re gonna convince me she’d be fine with this complete 180 sexual personality the first time they’re intimate? SURE. The aggressiveness and word choices felt so out character for what we were shown up until that point. There was NO lead up to that at all so it gave me an ICKKKK. She has a “weeping pussy?” Doctor stat

The plot twist just being all about wanting that useless man?! B O R I N G. Nothing interesting with the ghosts or the suspense. I was SO excited to read this book. The cover is BEAUTIFUL but it was a trap to reel me in. Bamboozled I tell you!!!!

85% of the way in and had to DNF. The writing is so choppy, he’s a fucking psycho, she’s chronically annoying and all over the place as a character, and the paranormal aspect was so boring and could have been something. I really don’t understand how this got so many positive reviews because what the actual fuck.

ARC Review
The Cabin in the Storm by Lexie Axelson

A fast-paced and intense dark romance.

After the devastating betrayal of her Husband and closest friends, Coraline Rosa finds that she is unable to do the one thing that always came naturally, creating art. When Coraline is invited to a remote Alaskan town for an Art exhibit, she packs up some of her old work, hoping to escape the wreckage of her failed marriage, while hunting for something to spark her creativity. But before leaving for her trip, she receives an ominous and threatening message from a stranger. Coraline tries to brush it off as a prank, but when more messages arrive shortly after arriving in Alaska, with details about her appearance, she can no longer deny the growing fear that someone is stalking her.

With a massive blizzard rolling in, Coraline rushes to escape Alaska and the person who is watching her. But as the storm intensifies, Coraline is run off the road by someone determined to kill her. When her car crashes, the last thing she remembers is her stalker approaching to finish the job before she blacks out.

Coraline wakes battered and bruised in a warm cabin surrounded by strangers. With a blizzard raging around the secluded cabin, Coraline is forced to shelter in place with a handsome, grumpy cowboy until the roads are cleared and the phones are back up so she can report the attack and get out of Alaska.

Gavin is closed off from most of the world and prefers it that way, but when Coraline crash lands into his world he can’t help the obsession that consumes him with each passing day.
Intense, suspenseful, and fast-paced, this dark romance will keep you engaged all the way til the end. I am typically not a fan of insta-love, but somehow it works in this book. Cabin in the Storm tackles some dark themes, and both Gavin and Coraline are healing from very tragic pasts, so their romance feels like a win they both deserved.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was short and punchy, and it had me hooked from the start! If you’re looking for a less than 300-page contemporary dark romance with paranormal elements, this is definitely for you.

We follow Coraline, an artist whose life gets completely derailed after discovering something that changes everything. She ends up traveling to a small town in Alaska for an event, but when a massive storm rolls in, things take a turn… and she finds herself stranded in a remote cabin for quite a while.

Cue the forced proximity deliciousness.

Our MMC is a dark, broody, ex-military man (Lexie really said we’re getting our military fix 😌), and the tension between them is chef’s kiss. Add in ghosts, eerie happenings, and a serial killer on the loose and oh, Coraline also has a stalker?!and it becomes such a fun, chaotic ride.

I genuinely had such a good time reading this. It was engaging, atmospheric, and perfectly bingeable in one sitting. I love Lexie’s writing style!! it just flows so easily and pulls you in without trying too hard.

Thank you, Lexie, for the opportunity to ARC read this!

I received this book as an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

“Your art speaks words without a voice. It evokes emotions I didn’t know I had. You make me feel less alone. And most of all, you make me feel like I can conjure dreams and not just nightmares.”

From the moment I read this quote, I just wanted to keep reading.

Coraline is someone who completely loses herself in her art. She’s ambitious, hopeful, and driven… until her life suddenly turns upside down. Hoping to find herself again (and the connection she had with her art), she goes to Sleepy Coldwater, a small town in Alaska.

That’s where she meets the mysterious Gavin and due to a snowstorm, they end up stuck there together.

I really enjoyed this story. At first, it feels a little predictable, but don’t let that fool you. There are some really great plot twists that I didn’t fully see coming.

Gavin is intense, but in a way that allows Coraline to truly be herself, which I loved. Their dynamic just works.

And then there’s Merelyn… honestly, from the very first moment, I couldn’t help but love her.

Lexie’s writing style is smooth and easy to read. The smut is well done and subtle, never over the top, which I personally really appreciated. She also paints a vivid picture of Sleepy Coldwater and the side characters are well developed.

And then that plot twist toward the end… wow. I genuinely loved it. It caught me off guard in a good way and I’m always a fan of books that manage to surprise me like that.

I truly enjoyed this book and want to say so much more… but I don’t want to spoil anything. I definitely recommend reading this book and experiencing it for yourself.

Cabin in the Storm pulled me in fast with the atmosphere, isolation, and tension. It was palpable. The premise felt fresh and I genuinely loved how unpredictable it was. It kept me guessing in a way that made it hard to put down, especially in the first 70–80%. The emotional moments also hit. There were scenes that felt soft, intimate, and really grounded the relationship, which made me want to root for them. But as the story progressed, a few things started pulling me out of it...

The third act decisions were tough for me to fully get behind. I understand the intention (growth, healing, they have to choose each other, all of that makes sense and I’m here for it), but some choices felt rushed or a little out of sync with everything that had just happened (emotionally speaking). It made it harder to stay connected to the FMC.

There were also a handful of continuity/timeline things that stood out. While these were small details, it was enough to take me out. I’m cursed with an eye for detail, I guess. Additionally, toward the end, some reveals and plot elements felt underexplained, which left me with more questions than I expected. Lastly, there were a few moments that could’ve been impactful but got interrupted by spice not placed well (IMHO), so that didn’t quite land for me. I wanted to sit in those emotions a little longer.

The Verdict:
A gripping, atmospheric read that hooked me early and kept me invested, even if the ending didn’t fully land for me. This was such a strong, unique read with a gripping setup and a lot to love (it just lost a bit of its footing for me toward the end). It is still worth reading if you like:
– isolated settings
– suspense with romance
– morally complex characters
– “something is off here” vibes

The Aftermath:
Confused… but intrigued. Worthwhile to say I am still thinking about it… and honestly, that counts for something.

So thankful for the ARC thanks!!

I dare you to read The Cabin in The Storm. It is officially out in the world today complete with a game of truth or dare between the two MCs that you’re not going to want to miss. How does a grumpy ex bull rider X artist who happens to find herself trapped with said grump in his cabin during a snowstorm sound?

“What are you doing?” I whisper.
“I’m looking at you, sweetheart.”
“Why?”
“Because I can’t seem to stop.”

Gavin and Coraline *swoon* these two had all the tension. It was radiating off the pages. When the grumpy man who has isolated himself finally finds someone who makes him feel again 🥹

“I felt something. And something when you’ve been a numb soul is everything.”

And surprisingly enough feeling something escalated rather quickly….

“I’m going to come right now in my damn pants because I’m so fucking pathetic for you.” 🤭

And don’t even get me started on when things began to really heat up…

“Do you want to talk? Or do you want to get fucked? Because Liam’s wife is my whore tonight,” 🥵

This book was so fast paced I couldn’t put it down. It had stalkers (good and bad ones), wild life you don’t want to have a run in with, ghosts, obsession, a car crash, forced proximity and shed hunting in the woods. All the things you need for some wild times in the Alaskan wilderness.

⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ (4/5)

I received this book as an ARC, and it ended up being such a great surprise!

One of my favorite things was definitely the relationship between Cora and Gavin. Cora didn’t win me over right away, but she grew on me so much throughout the story — I found myself understanding and loving her by the end. And Gavin… impossible not to love. A grumpy MMC with trauma who’s also deeply in love? Sign me in.

The setting is also something I loved : a cabin isolated from the world, surrounded by a storm, in the nature.. I felt like I could be there!

The author’s writing style is very engaging and easy to read. It’s one of those books you just can’t put down once you start. There’s also a mystery woven into the story, which kept me constantly forming theories and I really enjoyed it!

Emotionally, I connected a lot with Gavin. His trauma is well developed, and I genuinely felt empathy for everything he went through!

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romantic stories with intensity, constant action, a touch of the supernatural, and a good mystery.

I had such a nice time reading it!!

ARC Review: The Cabin in the Storm by Lexie Axelson

⭐️: 3
🌶: 3

I signed up for this one because the premise sounded so interesting, and I’ve had several of Lexie’s other books on my TBR for a while now. I really wanted this one to be a hit for me, and while there were definitely some solid moments, I ended up feeling pretty conflicted overall.

The story had a fast pace and an atmospheric setup that immediately pulled me in. The ghostly/paranormal elements were also a really fun touch and added an extra layer of mystery to the story that I enjoyed. Those moments helped give the book a unique vibe and kept me curious about where things were headed, but somewhere along the way it lost me. The romance felt a little too insta-love for my personal taste. I don’t usually mind that trope- especially in fantasy or fated mates style stories, but here I struggled to fully connect with Coraline and Gavin as a couple. Even with more of Gavin’s backstory later on, I still wanted more emotional development between them.

There were moments that stood out and kept me reading, especially some of the tension, twists, and the ending. Gavin definitely had some memorable lines, and the chemistry was there. The spice was enjoyable.

I’ll be honest, I considered DNFing a few times because I never felt completely hooked, which surprised me since I usually love fast-paced books. I’m still not entirely sure why this one didn’t fully land for me, but sometimes it really is just a matter of timing and connection.

BUT! Can we talk about that cover? Because it is genuinely one of the prettiest covers I’ve ever seen. Honestly...I may still need a physical copy for the shelf alone 🫣

Even though this wasn’t a favorite, I still want to try more from Lexie because Scarred Executioners and Mariposa are both still high on my TBR.

ARC REVIEW

First of all, I’d like to thank the author for choosing me for her book, even though I wasn’t able to publish this before its release.

That said, here is my opinion:
At the beginning, I was really on edge because what happened to our protagonist is something no one should ever have to go through. Liam could have died right away and it wouldn’t have made any difference 😂.

The story of an artist who ends up in a cabin is definitely very creative.
I loved our male protagonist, Gavin — a very grumpy man, but with the heart of a golden retriever.
The action in the book felt quite fast-paced to me; there wasn’t really a moment to pause without something happening.

The interaction between the protagonists is well done, and I really enjoyed their dynamic. Their individual introductions are also handled well.
I only found the ending a little rushed, but that doesn’t take away from everything else the author has already accustomed us to.

Hope to read more from this author 😁

Listen… I loved Mariposa and a couple of her other books, but this, this wasn’t for me. At all.

It felt like a woman scorned writing about what she imagines it would be like after she leaves her asshole husband. There were too many words. Like everything the author was thinking just went onto paper, without making sure it aligned with the theme, the characters, or the setting. The spice was written in a way that didn’t feel natural. Too many different things were described at once that felt too forced. The weeping pussy and use of the word majestic to describe it was sooo cringe 😅

The plot was promising and I loved the idea that this woman found her spark and confidence back after being married to a narcissist, verbally and emotionally abusive, cheating husband. I loved that both characters were able to help each other heal and find happiness again, I just wasn’t a fan of the way it was all written 😅 I also wish the advertised paranormal aspect had been delved into a little better. I expected more from it and in the end felt like the book could’ve totally done without it.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I’m sad.

The release date for this got pushed back quite a few times which I was fine with because I love Lexie… but now I’m wondering what I waited for…

This would’ve been a better winter novella. It fell really flat. Why was our FMC so obsessed with her cheating ex and to the point of speaking about him during the intimate scene? Killed it for me.

also… let me get this straight… she was chased by a moose, then almost attacked by a pack of wolves, then covered by an avalanche all within minutes of each other?

This book was so confusing but had sooo much potential since Lexie is such an amazing writer.

Lexie, I love and support your work forever. Can’t wait for more books! Always wanting to be honest with my reviews.

This book had so much potential which made the hot mess I just read all the more disappointing. The plot literally had everything: a cheating husband, a stalker, two serial killers (one of which remained unsolved), ghosts, wild animal attacks, natural disasters, and crazy sex scenes that were solely for shock factor. It was extremely inconsistent and just too much

This was a very interesting and fun read. The mystery/haunted aspect kept me on the edge of my seat. I had so many questions and theories I couldn’t stop reading. I really liked the MCs as individual characters, they both had dark pasts (especially our MMC) that kept us guessing, both are very strong willed people, and fight for those they care about. As a couple, that’s where it fell a little flat for me. I didn’t feel a connection or chemistry between them. Our MMC was so hot and cold with our FMC for 75% of the book then suddenly was obsessed with her. I get this was a shorter story but that switch was a little too quick for me. Otherwise, I really liked the ending and the growth both characters go through. It was the perfect way to wrap up the story.

“Snowfall is a gentle, miniscule reminder that seasons change just like chapters in a book. It won’t stay dark forever.”

❄☆❄---ARC Review---☆❄☆

I went into this book really excited, especially since I’ve enjoyed Lexie Axelson’s military romances in the past, but I think those expectations may have worked against me a bit here. There were definitely aspects that worked well. The suspense, in particular, was a highlight. The reveal of who was behind the threatening messages genuinely caught me off guard, which is always a win. While the anonymous buyer was easier to predict, the overall tension kept me engaged. I also really enjoyed the setting; Alaska came through vividly, and Coraline’s sense of awe at the wilderness was easy to feel through her perspective.

“When it comes to choosing between being alone with spirits while a stalker hunts me, or a cowboy who refuses to smile? I’m choosing Gavin.”

Gavin’s character had a lot of emotional depth, even if he frustrated me at times. His backstory was genuinely heartbreaking and made me want to hug him, and I appreciated the moments where he allowed himself to be vulnerable, especially during the shed hunting scene with Coraline. Those glimpses of openness added layers to his character that I wish we had seen more consistently. The romance itself had a solid foundation in terms of pacing as well. The spice was well integrated into the story, present, but not overpowering, and it didn’t feel rushed given everything Coraline had been through.

“In every single lifetime, I’m haunting you, Coraline.”
“Haunt me. Ruin me. Shatter me.”

That said, I really struggled to connect with both main characters. Coraline’s choices were often frustrating, and I found myself questioning her decisions more often than not. The fact that she continued to wear her wedding ring despite everything she’d endured was particularly difficult to reconcile, and it didn’t feel like she truly grew from some of the situations she found herself in. Gavin, on the other hand, was so inconsistent in his behavior that it made it hard to fully invest in him. His hot-and-cold dynamic didn’t come across as emotionally complex so much as it felt erratic at times.

“My art is created from dreams. And lately, my ability to dream is broken. It’s destroying me.”

There were also some technical issues that pulled me out of the story more than I would have liked. I usually try to give ARCs some grace when it comes to editing, but there were repeated moments and inconsistencies, sometimes within the same chapter, that became distracting. A few of the spicier scenes also had confusing positioning, which made them harder to follow and took away from the immersion. There were also a couple of moments where side characters, particularly Georgia, felt like they were inserted purely to create drama rather than to meaningfully contribute to the story. Those scenes didn’t quite land and felt unnecessary in the grand scheme of things.

“She’s a city girl, but her soul lights up brighter here, where there are no buildings, no busy streets, no overcrowded cities.”

The ending was another weak point for me. It felt rushed compared to the buildup, and I would have much preferred to see more of the healing process between Gavin and Coraline rather than just being told it happened. I also think the story would have benefited from more chapters in Gavin’s POV to better understand his internal struggles and motivations.

How much did I love this book?! 😍

Honestly, it’s impossible to put into a few words how much I surrender to Lexie’s writing, because her words go so deep into my soul, making me feel everything, truly everything. The only way to understand how much this author wrecks me is to read her. 💔✨

“sometimes, being alone to weather the storm is what outher people need to survive and come out of it stronger.”
“I want to dream, but only with you by my side. Ar tis my passion, but you are my soulmate. I am not Hollow without art, I am empty if i lose you”
“I came to a realization. In the darkness, sometimes ar tis there to save you. Sometimes it’s a person, and sometimes it can be a song. As long as you find something good to hold onto, that’s what matters.”

And the characters she creates… wow. The emotional intensity completely overwhelms me and leaves my heart shattered. In this case, it was Gavin!! 😭 The way I suffered for him in the final stretch… his pain and loneliness felt so real, and they hit me right in the soul.

I felt completely swept away by this book, which pulled me in from the very first moment, and I couldn’t stop reading until the end! It’s the kind of story that feels both intimate and intense, and I was hooked on every single page. 🔥

Coraline was a protagonist who captivated me in her own way (even if I didn’t always like her!). Her love for art, and the way she expressed it, creatively, vulnerably, but sincerely, was truly moving. 🎨 Her desire to overcome trauma, slipping into survival mode, even if that meant running away, made me connect with her, because honestly… who hasn’t felt that way at some point?

But Gavin… he gave me everything. He’s the reason I completely fell for this book. He’s everything you want in a mysterious, brooding, even slightly lonely male lead, someone who just wants peace and quiet, to be alone reading his book at the end of the day after spending time with his horses. Reserved, intense, and carrying a past you just know will hurt, because you can feel he’s already lost everything, living only for one person and the memories of his past.

The way he loves Cora, almost obsessively from the very beginning, is not only a little scary, but mostly incredibly tender. 🖤 And the chemistry?! It’s undeniable, full of tension and emotion that builds with every interaction. It’s a slow burn (the good kind) but when it heats up… wow. 🔥

The setting is absolutely perfect. Even though I could practically feel the cold on my skin because of the author’s vivid writing, the truth is it’s stunning... a small town full of charm, with the northern lights dancing in the sky. ❄️

And as if all that wasn’t enough, there’s so much suspense and mystery keeping you glued to the pages. The blend of romance and suspense is done so naturally that you simply can’t stop reading. The twists and the truths revealed along the way are perfectly paced and incredibly engaging.

In short, this book makes you feel everything!! absolutely everything!! It has heart, tension, mystery, and a romance that feels both fragile and strong at the same time. For me, it’s easily a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐read—which isn’t surprising, knowing it was written by Lexie.

Oh! And there’s paranormal too… yes, ghosts! 👻 And I’m not even usually into paranormal, but here....it’s just perfect.

"Please, sweetheart. I want to know what heaven tastes like. Just once. I'll be a good fucking man who begs"

This story follows Caroline, an artist who recently separated from her cheating husband. She ends up in Alaska for an event and later finds herself waking up in a cowboys bed. The MMC, Gavin is a navy seal who's parents both past away when he was young. They both carry trauma in different ways and that is clearly shown throughout the story.

Right away I was immediately captivated by everything going on and I could not put it down until 30% in. So many things were happening in the beginning, which I actually like because sometimes I struggle to get into a book. Caroline goes through so much, I felt so bad that she was dealing with this scary stalker & then finds herself waking up in this random cowboys house that is actually haunted on top of everything else going on. She finds herself now dealing with spirits, wild animals and weather conditions.

Some parts I found myself becoming frustrated with the MMC because he is just so goddamn grumpy & a little rude in the beginning. But there were a lot of times where I would start to see his personality come through. Even though it wasn't too much of a slow burn, I still really loved seeing Gavin and Carolines relationship blossom. ALSO them going shed hunting was the cutest thing ever & the northern lights scene are you kidding meeeee so cute.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and it was a pretty fast read. I was at the edge of my seat for a lot of it, the smut was great, Gavin has a dirty mouth & I loved how Caroline slowly took back her confidence that was ripped away from her. The ending was sad but also so beautiful. I just wished the ending was a tad longer & maybe a little more character development with Gavin would be nice because as much as he was a cowboy it was not giving me huge cowboy vibes. But I did not mind at all! Its a super fun read that is short & fast paced!

Expect:
-Set in Alaska
-Paranormal
-She is an Artist
-Snowed in a haunted cabin
-One bed
-Lonely tattoed cowboy vet
-Romantic Suspense

This book completely swept me away and wrapped me up in its stormy, emotional world from the very beginning. The Cabin In The Storm by Lexie Axelson is the kind of story that feels both intimate and intense, and I was hooked on every single page.

The heroine’s love for art added such a beautiful layer to the story. You can feel her passion, her creativity, and her vulnerability in such a raw way. Watching her go from a place of ambition and hope to being forced into survival mode was powerful and emotional. I found myself really connecting with her need to escape, to heal, and to find herself again in the middle of chaos.

Then there is Gavin. He is everything you want in a mysterious, brooding male lead. Quiet, intense, and carrying a past you just know is going to hurt. The way he shows up for her, especially in such a life or death situation, made their connection feel immediate but still layered with depth. Their chemistry was undeniable, filled with tension and emotion that kept building with every interaction.

The setting was absolutely perfect. That small Alaskan town and the snowstorm created this isolated, almost claustrophobic atmosphere that made everything feel more heightened. It added so much to the suspense and made the stakes feel incredibly real. You could practically feel the cold and the danger creeping in with every chapter.

What really stood out to me was how seamlessly the story blended romance with suspense. Just when I would get lost in the emotional connection between the characters, something intense would happen that pulled me right back into the edge of my seat. The twists and unfolding truths kept me guessing and made it impossible to put down.

This was such a gripping and emotional read. It has heart, tension, mystery, and a romance that feels both fragile and strong at the same time. Easily a five star read for me. If you love romantic suspense with a moody setting, broken but beautiful characters, and a story that keeps you completely hooked, you need this one on your list.
