There was a time when Master Saul Alvarez filled his days fighting and his nights teaching willing subs the pleasure of his whip. His compassionate understanding of the masochist mind makes him the most sought after professional sadist in the Miami BDSM community. Neither role invites long term relationships, but he’s comfortable with his solitary existence until he is charged with guarding Durango's prized whore. One look into those terror filled eyes has him vowing to risk it all to save the beautiful man.
Javier Escardo had been praying for death, but never expected the stone cold killer he got in response. One glimpse into those sinful eyes reveals not only the promise of retribution, but a reason to live. Seven years later, free and mostly sane, Javier is determined to take what belongs to him. Saul’s heart. Through hell and back, through layers of pain and shifting realities, that one truth has remained firm. His protector needs saving and he can’t do it alone.
Hidden beneath the public persona, Kyle Jansen is a man who craves to be invisible without being insignificant. He longs to find a Master who will see his need to be taken over without abusing him and a lover who will care about him beyond the sexual games. It isn't until he encounters the smoldering combination of Saul and Javier that he realizes it was never supposed to be just one partner at all.
Can two battered hearts be mended by the love of a third? Kyle becomes the light to their darkness, and he’s willing to risk his heart for theirs, but when the past threatens Saul, will Javier’s sacrifice destroy them all?
Author’s Note: The Protector deals with issues of sexual abuse and forced prostitution. While these acts are not detailed on the page, there are many references to them and the ongoing fight to heal and overcome. This book should not be read by anyone who would be adversely affected by these references.
Like many readers, the dream of being a writer has been with me a long time. After three decades of trying, I'd begun to doubt. Thanks to social media, I followed my favorite authors hoping to glean some words of wisdom as I pounded out half-formed ideas with alarming regularity. Two repetitive themes emerged: To be a great writer you must read a lot and your butt must be in the chair every day like it's a job. The more you write, the easier it will be to write and the better you will be at writing. I took that advice to heart and write every day. With three series in the works and counting, it's been amazing to have made this dream my reality.
I am a firm believer in marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics and happily ever after. I'm a lover of strong secondary characters and series filled with families, biological or chosen. All are themes you'll find throughout my books.
Saul, Javier e Kyle. No, meglio: Saul, Kyle e Javier. No, forse, ancora meglio: Kyle, Saul e Javier.

This is the third book in the Sizzling Miami series about a self-made family of ex-prisoners with hard exteriors but softer on the inside! This is Saul and Javier story which to my surprise also introduced Kyle to the mix.
For the past seven years Saul and Javier have been together through a horrific and disturbing past and are now going through a period of recovery. Although they both have an unconditional depth of love for each other, they have never stepped into the lover’s realm. Both feeling they cannot fully give what the other one needs. That is until the day in the café when everything tilts in their world and by coincidence Kyle is there to witness.
Kyle is coming to the end of his career as Kit – the superstar of the porn industry. After being cast out from his family home in his tender teen years he has found a strength to carry himself over the last decade but now he feels a need for someone to be his strength and nurture. Who knew that that very essence he was needing came in the guise of Saul and Javier.
This was quite a slow starter and complex read. I have read the other books in the series but here all the characters plus some additional ones are brought into the mix which at times was confusing to try and remember who was who and who was with who. So trying to keep up with that along with the backstory, the additional plotline plus engage in the tripod love story was an all-encompassing read. It definitely keeps the reader on their toes!
However saying all that I fell deeply for Saul, his forthright dominance but hidden inferiority complex just made this enigma of a man so loveable. Kyle was also one to fall for, he was like a breath of fresh air with his own inner strength, his cheeky one-liners but his yearning for love just had me routing for this ‘pup’. Javier was a little harder to understand and at times he did come across as a little childlike, maybe that was how Saul’s treatment of him with kid gloves made him seem so a little more punch from Javier would have been welcomed.
There were some surprise scenes thrown in that made me wonder had I missed something such as the puppy play with Saul and Kyle. Kyle seemed to have a fascination for the D/s in the club and although he made clear he was not into pain I wasn’t expecting the puppy play. Fun to be thrown off course with that I guess.
Overall a good complex and engaging instalment to the Sizzling Miami series and great to catch up with the other guys from the garage. Especially Bull and Red from For A Reason (love that sexy duo) and I can’t wait to see what happens with the foursome, what the heck is going on with them? Hope we find out soon! A solid four star read.
This author certainly knows how to write a story about broken and damaged characters. She's got a great knack of portraying her characters as real.
Saul and Javier are the main characters. They've been together for seven years. Both are struggling with their past. It's only when things start moving forward for these two that they meet Kyle, a porn star.
Although this read is angsty I was gripped to it & ended up reading it in a day. I love how we got to read about characters we met previously. Great storyline with BDSM and hot m/m/m scenes. Looking forward to reading more of this series.
Another wonderful book from Jessie G. There was angst, passion, pain and insecurities. I loves the family that these men created, the trust they had between them and the way they showed Saul what he meant to them. This is a story of three men who came together at the right time, and fed the parts of themselves that were starving for too long.
Saul and Javier have been through so much, they are almost as one. But due to this deep bond they share, it overshadows the issues they don't want to acknowledge. The appearance of Kyle in their life drives the point home. All is not as it seems, the past needs to be put to rest and the things that are assumed should be questioned. They navigate their budding relationship by discovering what makes each other tick. I loved Javier's nurturing spirit, Saul's protectiveness and Kyle's ability to show both men what they need to make things work, to open their eyes and finally see themselves. It was like wildfire between them. I loved both tender and scorching moments. The way Saul and Kyle came together to connect was just precious. But I loved that moment when Kyle made Javier see the real Saul and not the one he assumed he knew. It was awesome when it hit him.
The monster from the past was put to rest with Saul's cunning and a bit of ruthlessness. The men are finally free to plan and live their lives. They are so good together. There is this sense of family and connection that the book leaves you with. So good. I loved it! Highly recommend it!
This begins with a blast from the past and it is a truly painful scene but it does set the stage three men step into. A journey they never expected to survive or ri find love at the end of the tunnel.
Wow, sounds mushy doesn't it? But seriously, if not for the violence, the sexual abuse Javier endured and survived, the killer path Saul gracefully dons and shrugs off as just the normal course of life, then yes, this would be one mushy book. And the romance that developed between the three men? Oh my.
Sizzling. Hot! oi! and it's a menage so there you go :D
So Jessie G comes up with a totally different book from the second one of this series. Where that one was fairy tale like, this is more like a dark erotica filled with violence and men skirting the edge of the law. These men go through prison to get a madman in line. They both paid the price and continue to pay it. If Kyle had not come in, would the two have survived for much longer? Maybe. Maybe not. Javi is broken. Saul, despite his machismo and sheer presence, is also reaching his breaking point.
Kyle, well, he is also at the end of his endurance but had made an exit plan which he followed and executed to the letter. His meeting Javi and Saul was a bit of a surprise and sort of a complication but it was an experience he cherished and held on to until his plans fell into place. Truth: he used that experience to hold on to his sanity.
So there are some harsh truths here as the author noted on the blurb. Then again, who said slavery was a walk in the park? Javi does not think so and the author decided to give it her spin and came up with a man who is a survivor despite his apparent weakness and his survival shows a strength of will and character few could equal. Does that hint to you I love, love, LOVE! Javi? It should. Saul and Kyle? They are the icing on the cake that is Javi and reading their story is an experience. Delicious, like dark chocolate that is bitter on the first taste but bursts into a romance full of flavor and passion. Holy moly! (note: notice I did not say Holy Cow? You get what I mean and man, this one is the real deal. hehehehe)

Others still the odd grammatical mix up but plot wise, this series is just getting better and better and this one had a cracking good story well executed.
It's not easy to write a good menage and get the balance right so it feels equal. It's harder still to introduce a third into an established pairing. Jessie G does that with some deft handling though in this fast paced action story.
Each of the three men bring their own hopes and desires into the relationship but it takes Kyle to break through the fatalistic attitude to life that both Saul and Javier are clinging to.
Surprisingly, there's not as much hot sex as you might think but what there is moves the narrative on in a specific way each time as the threesome build up trust together.
There's also a canny wee side plot to being down the big bad which is a little overblown at times but it also introduces the characters who appear in a new MC spin off.
I had to think about this rating for awhile. This book worked great with the previous two in relation to the main story. I loved seen the other characters and what was happening at the moment.
Unfortunately, the main love story was a disappointment. I wanted more between Saul & Javi. They were great before and deserved their HEA. Kyle was a likeable character, but didn't add much to the relationship.
The whole Triad didn't worked for me. They needed a more defined relationship and a credible need for each other.
Love the series and the guys...I have to say I was a little confused about some of them 2/3 of the way when it was reaching the conclusion...the back and forth between all of them was a tad confusing...I've read all the books but I was still a bit confused. Be that as it may, I still loved it and would have liked to have seen more page time with just Saul, Javier and Kyle because I just loved the chemistry...they fit! I'm looking forward to more books in this series!
Master Saul Alvarez is known for teaching submissive guys the art of the whip. He has a compassionate manner as a master and he is the most sought after professional in the BDSM world. Javier Escardo has been praying for death but was completely shocked with the cold killer that responded. Now seven years later he is quite determined to take what is his which happens to be Saul's heart which is no easy task. Kyle Jansen longs to find a master who will control him but not abuse him and love him beyond the sex. Now after meeting Saul and Javier he realizes that he was not meant to just have one partner. Can Kyle save the battered hearts of Javier and Saul and at what cost to his own heart? Can their unique relationship of three men survive the past that keeps rearing its ugly head?
I love the unique relationship that Saul and Javier have. The way Saul does everything in his power to make sure that Javier is protected and loved. What surprised me the most was that Saul and Javier never had sex or ever kissed which was quite different. The reason for this was that Javi was a dominant like Saul. Since these two dominant guys have been together for seven years Javier feels that Saul is missing that part of his life. Kyle has been a porn star for 10 years and he is more than ready to leave that part of his life. One day Kyle notices the beautiful couple in a cafe and now they are flirting with Kyle which was so hot to read. Kyle is in need for what the couple can offer and Saul and Javi have been thinking they need a third person to dominate. Saul won't jeopardize all the progress that Javi has made and Kyle completely understands, if this new relationship of three men will work out.
I really enjoyed this novel The Protector by Jessie G as it spoke to me since I was once in a three way relationship many years ago, I completely connected to these men. The author got this new and unique relationship so spot on that it brought me back to mine. The author brought these men alive with their past and hurt and was so brilliantly well written. I couldn't get enough of these guys and their love. Well done Jesse. I highly and mean highly recommend this novel for everyone who loves a good MMM story!

Jessie G. brings badassery back with the third installment in her Sizzling Miami series. Featuring the unlikely family of ex-cons with unexpected soft sides, I was thrilled to see characters from both books 1 and 2 return to support Saul, Javier and Kyle on their journey.
Saul and Javier have been together for seven years, if you want the easy answer. Despite the unconditional love they have for each-other, their damaged past continues to haunt them, and neither man is able to fully meet the others' needs.
Kyle is a twenty-eight year old porn star who has yet to decide what he wants to be when he grows up. Undeniably drawn to the contrasting personalities that are Saul and Javier, Kyle's heart recognizes his need for both men to bring balance to his life. Saul and Javier have been walking an unequal road for so long that even the possibility of a third lover who meets both of their needs might not be enough to heal their broken parts.
A story of joy and sorrow, suffering and healing, life, love, laughter and loss; THE PROTECTOR is a captivating story with layers built upon layers. The sharp balance of light and darkness guides readers down into the depths of the character's most painful nightmares and back up again. Powerfully emotional and stunningly sensual, with danger, drama and romance, THE PROTECTOR is the latest must-read installment in a series that keeps getting better.
I love all of Jessie G's books. I knew Saul and Javi's story was going to be unique, and it did not disappoint.
Saul and Javi "coming" together finally was beautiful and sweet. When they add Kip/ Kyle to the mix, Javi's tenderness, and Saul's need to dominate, intensify. Kyle completed them by making them confront their demons, especially Saul, and recognizing Javi's strength. I hella liked Saul as a Dom and his moments with Kyle were sizzling on a nuclear level.
The writing was good. The story was jam-packed with lust, revenge, violence, passion, love, forgiveness and redemption. Bonus: The rest of the gang makes an appearance or two in the book. More Ian makes me happy.
4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. I wanted Saul and Javi's first time to be "more", it felt quick, glossed over, rushed. It was so important and I wanted to stay in that sweet moment longer. I also did not really like Kyle being a porn star given Javi's past.
Hmmm... Is it just me or do Clay, Evan and Tory seem familiar? I think there used to be a link on Jessie G's website with their story but it is not there anymore :(
I'm not sure what to think about this story....
I guess my main issue is that I hated that Saul did not believe Javi when he told him he loved him but seemed to have no issue when Kyle told him the same. To me it seemed that neither Saul nor Kyle loved Javi very much...
One of my main issues with threesomes is that one personal always seems to be left out and in this case it felt like Javi pulled the short stick. I would have liked it better as a twosome, either Javi and Saul or Saul and Kyle, to me it seemed like Kyle and Javi did not have any chemistry.
All in all, I would say that I like this series but not so much this installment.
Lukewarm on this book. I really LOVED parts. But mostly was just ehh. Honestly I REALLY could've done with Javier. I feel bad saying that because I did like, I felt for him. But seriously. Kyle and Saul were so great together, I was really digging them together and they were such a great match. But having everything CONSTANTLY be about Javier and him and his needs (imagined or real) always coming first was annoying. Supporting cast of characters was great. I loved how everything played out with Durango. Book 2 is still my favorite, but I am really enjoying this author, and now I'm gonna have to read the new series this one spins off into.
It started out slower than the other books. I love the characters in this series and want to see where the author is going to take them. Saul and Kyle really work together. Javier was kinda disappointing in this book he seem almost child like. In the second book he was more mature. I gave it four stars because of that. It almost seems like Saul is only putting up with Javier. The series makes you think that he is Saul's soul mate then in this book it's like Saul is a father to Javier. I still loved the book.
Three men but so unbalanced. Too much focus was on Kyle and Saul. Not enough of them all together or of Javi with either.
I love Javi and think he deserves so much better than Saul. I don't believe that Saul or Kyle love him.... Each other sure but not him. Saul has cheated him out of everything and I'm just heartbroken for Javi.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I almost DNF this but I did at least manage to skim the last 40%. I felt no connection to the three MCs, and I didn't feel like they had a connection with each other either. Disjointed plot and a number of editing/ typo errors. I know this book had a lot of great ratings but I just can't agree.
. I started reading this series because another series by the author caught my eye and this one had to go first. I think I'm going to stop here and maaaybe check out the first one of the other series but I'm pretty sure I know what is waiting for me there by now and while it's not bad it's also nothing that blows my socks off.
The tops are all overprotective, growly and "dominant". I put dominant in quotation marks because while they all talk a good game so far in three books not one of them really went past manhandling and talking dirty a little. The top in this part of the series is supposed to be a serious Dom with a capital D but even he takes forever to break out the tools, so don't get into this series for that.
The bottoms are varying shades of vulnerable but of course they all have a stubborn streak. They're basically Strong Female Characters in men's bodies if you know what I mean.
Javier has the most interesting back story of all of them so far and of course we end up getting barely any of it. So my hunger for some darkness was unfulfilled. Same goes for Kyle. I love, love, love a good pornstar but sadly he quits the business to be with Javier and Saul and then they have loving threesomes that are not really that steamy.
Reading this you might think I hated this book but I didn't! The writing is completely fine, the characters are well developed and there is lots of plot! It gets a little long in the middle but once the plot thickens again it's a nice clip to the finish line.
I'm ready for something that reads less like a total Romance now though. After three books of lovey doveyness I need a palate cleanser.
Così entra in gioco Kyle. Per me è ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ e 💋
I Loved this book. This was an emotional story to read at times. I admit I cried. Although there is a section that was very confusing for me. It introduces characters that will make much more sense if you read Tricking Chase (Devils Pride MC) book 1 right after book 3. It's a spin off series. So much is explained. I love this author.
OK, I loved the characters, both old and new... but, what I didn't love were the "missing" words! I couldn't keep count of how many times my brain had to go back and re-read a sentence and fill in a missing word... grrr Oh, well... maybe this little flaw will be fixed in the next book! *grin*
I will say that I felt like this book left me wanting more! More details... more 3-way sex... more, just a little bit more. I'm not needy... just greedy! LOL!!!
4.5 Stars This series just keeps getting better. The emotions of the characters leap of the pages at you. The Protector, what a perfect description of Saul. For years he has been protecting Javi, from not only his past but also his future. Being a Master in the BDSM scene for years, he is well known for knowing how to give his subs what they need while giving himself the release he needs. Leaving that lifestyle to protect Javi and himself is something he deals with daily but he doesn't have the pull to it like he once had. Working for a monster who had his hands in drugs and human trafficking, Saul was the go-to guy when the dirty work needed to be done. During this time is when he met Javier, a young man who was being used as a prostitute for Saul's boss to make money. Knowing his only goal was now to get Javi to safety, he knew he would do anything to make that happen, even go to jail for years, just as long as Javi was out of that world. Seven years later Saul is still protecting Javi, a man who is so broken everyone wonders if he will ever be normal again. When Javi does start to open up to Saul, he is shocked to learn that Javi wants to add a third into their strained relationship. Kyle is in Miami doing a promotional stop with the rest of his crew, known as Kip in the porn world, he observes an intimate moment between Saul and Javi in a coffee shop. Seeing Kyle is all it took for Javi to know that he was theirs. When fate steps in and they all run into each other again, Javi knows for sure that they are all meant to be together. When Saul finally comes around to the idea his reasons for wanting Kyle there are not the same as Javi's. Happiness is there for all three of them if they can only work together to make it happen.
I found I quite enjoyed G.’s writing and really liked these characters. This is definitely a “lovable bad boy” type story (and probably series), where we see these rough men who love and care for one another, share their feelings, and are total softies under their hard exteriors. It probably skirts the edge of too romanticized, but I found I liked it and it worked perfectly here.
This book drops us into the story with a quick prologue of the day Saul is charged with protecting Javier, essentially being his bodyguard while Javier is forced to sell his body for Durango’s benefit. We then jump seven years later to present day, where we see the men living together, along with a group of other ex cons and assorted bad boys. The two have been partners for years, but nothing sexual or romantic has happened between them. We can see how protective Saul has been over Javier, and he is afraid to push Javi before he is ready, so he has been holding back. It is clear that every single decision Saul makes it done with Javi in mind; taking care of him is Saul’s primary goal. But when Javi makes it clear that he wants more between them, Saul is thrilled to finally be with the man he loves, even though he worries Javi’s feelings are because of Saul’s role as his protector more than real love. The relationship between the guys is fascinating, and we can see how much Saul has contorted himself to be exactly what Javier needs, even at expense to himself.
This incredible story is gritty, gripping and triple decker hot. Once again the third book in this epic series is as deep and intense as the books before. Saul, the strongest of all the characters is in constant conflict with himself. Being the unknowing hero, he believes that his faults will bring them all down. Innocent, broken Javier the love of Saul's life, must be protected at all times, at all costs. No exceptions! Enter sweet, unassuming, blonde hair, blue eyed Kyle. A chance meeting has Javier wanting him in their bed. That's when the relationship between all of them becomes magical. The characters from the previous books are all entwined and written perfectly in this adventure. They come together to create a new dynamic of epic proportions. Jessie G has written a story that will touch your heart and keep you entertained throughout. I highly recommend that you don't miss out on this over the top terrific third installment. It is GREAT! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS MAGNIFICENT SERIES!!!
I loved this book. The story flowed for me. I so love the world Jessie G has made in the Miami series...as said on American Idol it worked for me ..I like the way Jessie G writes ..I just dived in and it held my attention until the end....loved the story of Saul and Javier. and Kyle....this was so much more than a "simple ménage" story on so many levels. Saul and Javier have a really bad history together: bondage/rape/submission/torture due to their circumstances (this is off the pages)...Saul & Javier love one another but each cant break away from the past that binds them together: Saul a Dominant and Javier a man broken and pretty much held together by duck tape...in walks Kyle....he gives Saul and Javier both what they need that they can not get from one another based upon their past...I was so hooked... ...one could I say I devoured the story in one sitting..i am so looking forward to her next release....one should read the these in order to get a better fill of the book.....
The book had started with so much promise, but in the end, the triad of Saul, Javier and Kyle just didn't deliver. The reason why it didn't quite work for me.
With how Saul and Javier were connecting, tentative and fragile because of their shared history, the introduction of a personality such as Kyle's should have bridged them together faster, bonded them tighter.
I didn't feel the balance that should exist in a working triad, and that was the greatest disappointment for me, and why I rated it lower than it would have deserved.
