One of my least favorite things in manga is when a character is really pun-heavy, because it so rarely translates well (with feeble attempts at localization?). So one of the new fashion school friends in this volume has a personality that kinda did not land for me when half of her dialogue involved making really bad puns that hardly made any sense in context.

Otherwise, this was very cute; I like this mangaka's work. Not a top favorite but someone whose stories I'll always try, since there's a sweetness to them that I really enjoy.

I will say it really didn't feel like the original story needed a sequel. So there was a fair amount of tropey territory in this one: two jealousy storylines that of course led nowhere, other than the main couple reaffirming their love for each other.

It was nice to see their friend group expanding, and I'm very intrigued by Miki and Mizuki. I'm assuming they'll probably get more page time in the next volume, and I'm definitely up for that. They seem interesting, have a fun dynamic that's got a bit more grit to it than the sugary-in-love main couple, and should add some depth to the story going forward.

i really loved the possessiveness from both chiaki and ai this book. they were both able to show the care for each other and want to keep each other to themselves without any toxicity too. freak4freak!!!

I really liked this one. The story felt very real and I like that the couple was ultimately healthy and good to each other and they didn’t turn toxic or break up or anything. I really like their new friends too. It was a really fun read. I still think I might like the first story arc better but that might just be because the double identity thing was so cute and fun. 😆

3.5 ⭐

Points off for the misunderstanding trope and also promoting dangerous piercing practices 😭
