She Autumn Be Mine is book five in the Alphas Fall Hard Collection by Zee Irwin. Autumn Triggs escapes with her son, Stetson, from an abusive relationship to Montana to ask her brother for help. However, her brother Trig ended up in jail, so he asked his good friend, Jake McCall, to look after Autumn. Autumn is shocked when her wealthy ex-in-laws sue her for full custody of Stetson, and Jake McCall steps in with a solution. Will Autumn lose her son, or will Jake McCall save the day? Readers of She Autumn Be Mine will continue to follow Autumn Triggs and Jake McCall to discover what happens.
I like the way Zee Irwin highlighted issues for single parents when grandparents sue for custody of their children. I learnt how to run a goat farm and market their products. I engaged with the plot and the characters from the first page, and it stayed that way to the end.
The more books I read by Zee Irwin, the more I enjoy her writing style and how she portrays her characters and their interactions. She Autumn Be Mine did not disappoint and helped me enjoy Zee Irwin's books even more. Zee Irwin's She Autumn Be Mine was well written and well researched. I felt part of the book's plot because of the way Zee Irwin described its settings.
*"She Autumn Be Mine"* is the fifth book in the *Alphas Fall Hard* series. Autumn is a single mom who is determined to create a better life and home for herself and her son, Stetson. After leaving her ex-boyfriend and his wealthy family, she hopes to stay with her brother, Trig. However, when Trig gets into some trouble, he asks his best friend, Jake, to look after Autumn and Stetson.
From the moment Jake meets Autumn and Stetson, his protective and possessive instincts kick in, and he knows they are meant to be his. However, he understands that he needs to take things slow with Autumn so as not to scare her off. Given her past with her ex, which stripped her of the ability to make her own choices, Jake is particularly attuned to what is best for both Autumn and Stetson. He takes the initiative to care for the small things without being asked, demonstrating his commitment to their well-being.
When Autumn unexpectedly receives custody paperwork, Jake steps up without hesitation. He knows what he wants and is ready to support her. It’s now Autumn's turn to admit to herself that she wants Jake just as much. The moment they both take that leap of faith together is truly satisfying, as their passion builds and things get steamy.
I thoroughly enjoyed the slow-burning friends-to-lovers romance between Autumn and Jake. It was so easy to immerse myself in the world that Zee has created, with well-developed characters and endearing side characters. I found myself lost in their story and eager for the next book in the series!

Loved this story! This is book 5 in the Alphas Fall Hard Collection and follows ex navy seal, Jake and Autumn’s story as they work through their feelings for each other. Autumn has left her abusive ex and has come to the Montana Off-Duty Rescue Ranch to be with her brother Trig, but as that isn’t possible Jake ends up watching out for her and her young son instead. Starting off as friends soon turns to a marriage of convenience so that Jake can protect and care for Autumn and her son when her ex’s family file for custody of the boy. This was a slow burn story full of fun, drama and suspense, it was also emotional with some spicy scenes. Another wonderful story in this series which I thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you Zee Irwin for the opportunity to read this gifted copy, of which all opinions are my own.
Jake is by far my favorite from this series and he’s going to hard to beat. Although there’s a hockey player up next!!!
Autumn and her adorable baby Stetson show up at the ranch as she is fleeing an abusive ex. Her brother Trig gets sent to prison and he asks Jake to watch out for her. Jake falls for both of them hard and fast. When a custody battle ensues with her ex’s mother Jake suggests getting married.
He is truly perfection telling her it’s forever and he’ll go as slow as she wants. He is always showing up for her and her son and shows his love in so many ways. Autumn has been through so much. I loved her strength and that she will sacrifice anything for those she loves.
There is suspense, twists and turns on their way to their happily ever after that literally had me sitting up straight, gripping my iPad! All the ranch folks we love are back helping our little family as well as Jake’s family, who I adored. And the epilogue was the icing on the cake.
She Autumn Be Mine is stunningly beautiful and so much fun! Swoony hero Jake is yes please with a side of oh yeah. Patient, kind, protective, caring, and such a great parent to Autumn’s baby boy. She has been through it hardcore, and Jake has steadily supported her and respected her boundaries. The plot has some great twists, and I loved witnessing the weddings and the banter between the characters from previous books! This whole series is great, and this one is my new favorite! Author Zee Irwin is such a talented storyteller, crafting this amazing world and continuing to add to it book by book with compelling characters and creative plot twists. This one was so much fun, with action, suspense, drama, intensity, humor, heart, and so much love. I couldn’t put it down!

I voluntarily reviewed "SHE AUTUMN BE MINE" given for my honest opinion its Jake & Autumns journey with some suspense, intense emotional turmoil, action, steam, twists keeping you turning the pages. Autumn Triggs with her adorable son Stetson decides to run when her ex's Wyoming family decides to interfere in a custody battle for Stetson, her brother Trig was transferred to Montana State Prison, there for 2yrs for something he wasn't even involved in. Autumn was going to a Buckaroo BBQ the Wylde sister's were doing for Stetson's birthday, his father didn't even reach out avoiding a call from her ex's parents. Autumn appreciated the Wylde sisters out doing it for Stetson at the Off Duty Rescue Ranch along with Jake McCall former Navy Seal who told her brother Trigg he'd watch out for them while he was in Prison. Autumn didn't miss anything about Wyoming not Stetson's father or his controlling family, she did miss her bestie Nanette. Nanette asked who Jake was, just a friend Autumn tells her he was in photo's with her & Stetson at his party he was always around them, she only trusted him as a friend relationships weren't her strong suit, except her last one gave her Stetson who she loved with all her heart. Jake knocks on her door, BaBa says Stetson wanting to be picked up by Jake, carrying groceries. Autumn felt selfish she was keeping a great guy like Jake occupied what if there was a woman out there to make him happy one who give him his own son. Jake tells Stetson tell your mama I'd rather be with you he winks at her, she's still feeling guilty, don't he says, you spoil us she says, I'm hanging with my bestie. I promised Trigg I'd be here for you & here I am. Stetson calls Jake DaDa both Autumn & he gasp her body froze BaBa says Jake to Stetson remember he says DaDa again he keeps saying it. Autumn worries about Stetson losing another male Trigg in Prison his father not around, Jake was the best thing to happen to her in a long time & he loved Stetson. Jake knew Autumn was home pretending to sleep she just stood there watching him & Stetson taking a photo. Jake knows a man who promised to take care of a woman wasn't allowed to want her mouth, he lost some if his teammates never coming home to their families. Autumn fits in with all the women & men there relaxing with Stetson she'd been thru alot always on alert everyone loved Stetson. Cash was Jake's buddy from the Navy arriving on a Motor Cycle they'd been in various missions together not authorized to talk about, you said look you up if I'm passing thru town nice Ranch eyeing women beauty all around it was Autumn running over hello darling says Cash to Autumn I'm new in town care to show me where people have fun her cheeks turn pink I'll take Stetson are you married with a kid Jake he asks eyes wide, no were just friends says Autumn quicker than Jake liked. Jake saw red the way Cash came onto Autumn then Carter cuts in I think Jake has eyes on her so I'd back off he says hands off single mother message received says Cash. Cash was looking for work & a place to stay ever worked on a Ranch no I can take you to the foreman Ash Rhodes. Autumn tells Jake when he & Cash came to Copper Cup that Avery was certified in CPR & Harper's only a phone call away incase of emergency & her step-dad is the Sheriff. Autumn felt Jake had become more than her protector, someone she could count on if she hadn't been working she could've been with him, not like the locked door with her abusive ex. Autumn had one of the Rhodeo guys say come on now Montana girl give me your number we come thru twice a season you can tip all you want but my number isn't on the menu, reaching for her wrist but Jake was there right beside him Cash joined him, warning the guy away, pressure in the room changed Rhodeo guy watched both Seals he says ma'am, fellas thanks for your service, leaving a wad a cash on the bar & he disappears. I texted Avery you didn't trust me I did but I had to check on our little buddy, our she gasps, my mistake your son, you should worry about you & that woman her names Tess, whatever I wish you both all the best, Autumn are you OK your acting like your jealous, we're just friends Jake you were paying attention he smiles, I am bartender she clearly wanted you doesn't mean I wanted her he points she's with Cash he took one for the team, they both end up laughing not sure why she was so relieved, come I'll walk you home. Autumn one bad man doesn't mean that's all there is yet I keep telling myself that to, I hate how hea hurt you I do as well, your protective like my brother, no I'm worse I'd never hurt you Autumn she wanted to believe Jake. Jake says be sure to give Stetson a hug from me, not sure what she did to have Jake be there for them, always watching over them. Will Autumn, Stetson & Jake end up together can she trust things will be different with him to get a HEA there's a few twists to see how it all plays out a read you don't want to miss I loved their journey together.
She Autumn Be Mine is a tender, steady western romance that hits all the right emotional notes. Autumn’s arrival at the ranch—bruised, exhausted, and fiercely protective of her baby—makes her easy to root for from the start. I loved how Jake doesn’t rush her or try to fix her overnight; he simply shows up with quiet strength, giving her and little Stetson a place to breathe again. His protective nature feels earned, not overbearing, and the way he folds them into ranch life is one of the sweetest parts of the story.
The marriage‑of‑convenience setup works beautifully here. What starts as a practical solution slowly becomes a real partnership built on trust, routine, and those small fall moments—pumpkin patches, Sunday gatherings, and the kind of gentle domestic scenes that make you believe in second chances. Jake’s past complicates things at just the wrong moment, and I appreciated that the conflict didn’t feel manufactured; it genuinely tests how far he’s willing to go for the family he’s chosen.
If anything, I would’ve liked a bit more time with Autumn rebuilding her confidence before the custody battle ramps up, but the pacing keeps the story warm, hopeful, and engaging.
Overall, She Autumn Be Mine is a heartfelt, steamy small‑town romance with a protective cowboy, a single mom fighting for her future, and a found family that feels like home. It’s cozy, emotional, and a lovely addition to the Alphas Fall Hard Collection.

Just marvelous! Zee Irwin just has that special touch with her characters and with the way she develops their stories that draw you in, make you feel as you know them personally and want only the best for them. This series is about alpha males falling hard for the women in their lives and Jake McCall, ex-Navy SEAL, local cowboy and babysitter/friend to single mom Autumn Triggs may be stuck in that friend zone by her but he’s definitely being patient with her because he’s already falling hard. Autumn has plenty of reasons not to be looking to take Jake out of the friend zone after running from an abusive ex, the father to her young son Stetson, but she also can’t deny that Jake is nothing like her ex and well very close to perfect, especially when it comes to how he cares for Stetson. So when trouble comes, threatening to take Stetson from her, Autumn can’t refuse what Jake offers and I can promise a few swoons, awws, and oh goshes will result when you read their story. Full of sweet moments shared with Stetson, moments of true friendship between them, a group of family and friends united to fight against trouble and beautiful moments of romance and sweet passion flow easily when Jake finally gets out of the friend zone. Zee Irwin gets the banter and the emotions right and I get swept away each and every time!.

Oh, Jake! Jake is one of those pretty perfect guys we all love. A former SEAL, he is loyal, steadfast, and so protective of those he cares about and he is planning on waiting until Autumn is ready for him. Autumn has come to the ranch hoping to stay with her brother who unknown to her ends up in jail. Jake, his best friend, has promised to look over Autumn and her adorable son, Stetson. Jake quickly steps up as Stetson's sitter so Autumn can work. She is pretty much broke and needs the money. She is staying in a tiny apartment and living in near constant fear after fleeing an abusive boyfriend, the father of her son. When Jake sees her that first time with her hair brushed to cover the bruises the guy left, Protector Mode kicks in. It does take Autumn a long time to come around but Jake is patient. To read about him with that little boy - swoon! Their love story is sweet. Jake is there for her no matter what and when something bad happens, the SEAL in him kicks in. The way Jake's family and extended family steps up makes me want to move to their little town. His mother is the best! I loved this edition to the series. They are a great couple with lots of love to share.
This is a great story that gives cozy heartfelt feelings!
Autumn escapes an abusive relationship with her 6 month baby boy, Stetson, battered and scarred she arrives at her brother's place to find Jake -one of his friends= who immediately jumps in to help and protect the woman and the baby. Jake is the ultimate book boyfriend, he takes onto the place of friend, confident, father of sorts, healer, a sounding board. As an ex seal he is natural protector so when her ex's parents want custody of the baby, he offers a marriage of convenience/fake marriage to secure what he now calls his family,
Though Jake shines in this story, Autumn is truly a great character, she comes from a painful reality and has to heal and rebuild. Slowly she starts to build her esteem back. though trust is hard to reach, it is her connection to Jake that makes understand that it is ok to be vulnerable and soft when the right man is beside you.
A great addition to a TBR list!.

This next installment in the Off Duty Rescue Ranch stories is one of the best. Jake is a strong, sexy yet shy Navy Seal working with the strong alphas on the ODRR.
Autumn is a single mother fleeing an abusive relationship. She shows up with her baby boy at the ODRR because her brother works there. Unfortunately he is arrested so Jake is tasked to look after them for him.
Jake is the friend she needs; he helps out with babysitting so she can work, brings groceries when he arrives and makes sure she is accepted by the whole ODRR group.
Her past rears it's head and he steps in again to protect her and the son he has fallen for. They marry and act on their passion and allow their.l9vento grow.
Another great installment in this series, showcasing the couples from the past stories, and how the people stick together in this small town of Forest Grove.

She Autumn Be Mine by Zee Irwin was a fun and emotional small-town romance! The FMC Autumn and MMC Jake had great chemistry, and I loved Jake’s protective, caring nature. He’s the kind of cowboy hero who will do whatever it takes to keep the woman he loves safe. The small-town and ranch setting added a cozy feel to the story, while the danger and drama kept things interesting. I especially enjoyed watching Autumn and Jake’s relationship develop from their unusual circumstances into something much deeper and genuine. There was plenty of romance, steam, and sweet moments mixed with the protective-alpha vibes I love. The characters were easy to root for, and the story kept me turning the pages. Overall, She Autumn Be Mine was an enjoyable steamy cowboy romances with protective heroes, small-town charm, and a happily-ever-after.

Autumn is a single mother with a complicated past. Jake claims he’s only there to help her because her brother is in prison. What a lie! He actually wants more.
Despite her upbringing and past mistakes, Autumn is a strong and devoted mother who would do anything for her son. After everything she’s been through, she’s understandably reluctant to let a man into her life. But somehow, Jake manages to get past her walls. The problem is, she’s scared to take the leap and let herself fall in love.
Jake, meanwhile, finds himself falling for both Autumn and her son. He never imagined himself getting married or building a family, but with Autumn, he can suddenly picture a future he never thought he wanted.
I loved the camaraderie between the characters, the kind and welcoming townspeople, and Jake’s wonderful family. The story is sweet, heartwarming, and just an overall lovely read.

Awkward title. I would Autumn be mine or Autumn, will you be mine. A tender single Mom romance. He has been waiting for to recover from her abusive relationship, to be willing to date him. But then her ex's parents send someone to find her and her son. They serve her court papers, stating she is an unfit Mom, mainly because she is single. So, Jake suggests a marriage of convenience with any option to make it real or stay friends, they can move slow after marrying. Will she let him in. She had not the best upbringing there was a no happy marriage for her Mom. It was mainly her brother that raised her. Jake's family welcomes her with open arms and his parents are ecstatic to be her son's grand parents. Does a plan to run if her ex's parents threaten Jake's good name. Will she realize that is the worst thing for her son? Stetson is adorable. The ending is so sweet.

A wonderful addition to the entertaining Alphas Fall Hard series by Zee Irwin! I absolutely loved that Jake McCall is a shy, gorgeous, Navy Seal who does it all from babysitting to grocery shopping to wrestling goats! Autumn is a single mom to the most adorable 1 year old son, Stetson. She is running from Stetson's toxic father, is facing a custody battle and Jake is just the man to protect them. They agree to a marriage of convenience that has the potential to be something so much more and real.
It's always an added bonus when Zee includes characters from the other stories that reinforces the strong bond between the men on the Off-Duty Rescue Ranch along with their families. Gotta love a Pumpkin Patch event that brings the small town vibes! This is my favorite season and love all things pumpkin too!
A must read if you enjoy small town love stories, cowboys, adorable kids, plenty of spice, heart-melting moments and a HEA!
I want to thank Zee Irwin for an early copy and I'm sharing my voluntary opinion.
Book 5 in the Alphas Fall Hard Collection follows former Navy SEAL Jake and Autumn as they navigate their growing feelings for each other. After leaving her abusive ex, Autumn arrives at the Montana Off-Duty Rescue Ranch hoping to stay with her brother Trig. When that doesn’t work out, Jake steps in to look after her and her young son. What begins as a friendship quickly deepens into a marriage of convenience, giving Jake the legal means to protect and care for Autumn and her boy when her ex’s family files for custody. This is a classic slow-burn romance packed with humor, drama, and suspense, balanced by genuine emotion and some wonderfully spicy scenes. Another excellent installment in the series—I thoroughly enjoyed every page. 4.5 stars from me.

This is only the second book from this series that I have read, it made me smile so much as I loved seeing Jake, Autumn and Stetson together. I loved the respect they had for each other, that they were careful with one another and their feelings until something bad gave them the reason to reach for something good.
I believed in their connection and chemistry, that the choices they made were the right ones for them, and that with the love and support they had around them, they would make it through it all. The twists and turns were delivered well, the first moments were lovely, the lessons they learned along the way were worth the pain, and I enjoyed seeing Autumn believe in herself, fight for her family, and be so happy and in love.

The Off-Duty Rescue Ranch is more than a place for former military men to adjust to being civilians. It’s also a place of found family and reaching out to the community and those who need help. Autumn and her son, Stetson, are running from an abusive ex and need a safe place to land. Jake helps her in every way she’ll let him - babysitting, groceries, and eventually offering marriage to protect her from her ex’s wealthy, manipulative family. He is a former SEAL but has a soft, gooey center and wants nothing more than for the three of them to make a real family. A really good story of found family, learning to trust and accept love and help, and deciding to stand your ground, even when running seems easier and more familiar.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This has to be the best in the series . It sure is Zee when baby makes three . Seriously though it’s got swoon and sweet ,a real treat. Jack goes the extra mile to give her a smile and a reason for living. Unforgiving of those who set out to destroy her and take away her baby son Stetson . This powerful Wyoming family want to sue her for custody of their son her ex’s baby… She has her own cowboy to call her his baby . ….Yes Jack stepped up and she pepped up because an offer of a fake relationship will do it every time . Now there’s the thing about things that start out fake and like a baby in a mummy’s womb these things take time to bake and bloom. So it turns out it’s for keeps this feeling down deep . And in those sheets they have feelings that are for real and I could squeal for an happy ending so fine. It’s gotta be by Zee Irwin design..
-Autumn is a single mom fleeing a toxic past, and when her brother can no longer protect her, shy Navy SEAL Jake steps in to care for her and her adorable son, Stetson. Jake is patient, protective, and completely swoon-worthy as their friendship slowly grows into a passionate romance and a marriage of convenience. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts about this story.
The story is full of suspense, custody drama, wonderful ranch families, small-town charm, and plenty of heartwarming moments. A beautiful, emotional, and entertaining addition to the Alphas Fall Hard series with a lovable hero, an adorable child, and a nice happy ending.
I enjoyed this story a lot. Jake is such a sweetheart and so protective of Autumn and Stetson. Autumn left Wyoming to get away from her abusive ex and his family. Now she is in Montana and growing into the community. Jake whom she met through her brother has been helping Autumn with babysitting and also biding his time with Autumn. One day Autumn is served with a lawsuit over full custody of Stetson, Jake decides it is now or never. Jake asks Autumn to marry him and she accepts. Everything is going well until Autumn disappears and her ex shows up. There is a very happy ending but the end of the story has a twist or two I wasn't expecting. I highly recommend this story.

This book had me falling hard and fast for our characters. It is so much more than I was expecting. And it did not disappoint in the slightest. Autumn is such a genuine and relatable character. She’s so strong. And I just wanted to her and her son to have safety and peace. The way Jake steps in to help was so swoon worthy. These two had such an honest connection and epic chemistry. They were completely end game for me from their first interaction. He is protective but not oppressive. He takes care of things for her without taking away her choice. And it’s the most endearing thing ever. And watching things grow and develop between them had me feeling so much. It was pure perfection. And that ending was exactly what I wanted for them. It felt like it was everything they deserved.
She'll Be Mine is a sweet, soft, heart-tugging read. Jake is the epitome of green flags. His attractiveness just keeps getting higher with every action as he cares for and supports Autumn.
When it comes to Stetson and Jake, it's absolutely swoon-worthy. Their bond is beautiful, and you can't help but feel for Autumn's hesitation and vulnerabilities while celebrating when she finally takes a chance on Jake.
The ranch and Jake's family deliver warmth, love, and support that make everything even more powerful. You see red when the danger and trouble come for them. You hold your breath when it sets Autumn off & wait for their HEA to arrive.
Wait, a hot former Navy SEAL is the babysitter?! Seriously, what is Autumn thinking trying to cut him loose? Jake was incredibly sweet and absolutely obvious with his feelings for her, and his devotion to her son was totally swoon-worthy. The pumpkin patch couldn't have been any better—I melted. I loved how they tried to navigate their real feelings all while trying not to overstep. The jealousy that built between them had that perfect slow-burn chemistry I crave. The mix of witty humor, sweet family moments, domestic suspense, and extremely spicy tension made it impossible to put this book down.

Fleeing from a toxic relationship, Autumn finds herself and her young son Stetson at the Off Duty Ranch looking for her brother. Not finding him, she's concerned, until her brother’s friend Jake steps up to help.
I loved watching Jake claim these two, and work through their background traumas together, to reach their HEA. This is steamy, emotional, suspenseful, endearing and I enjoyed the banter and humor in these pages.
It's always better to read in order, but grab this one today and get caught up later! I recommend this author and her catalog of work.
Fortunate to have received an ARC, I voluntarily leave my review.
Autumn has been through alot in life. She’s a single mom trying to build a new life after being with someone abusive. Jake just happens to be there. He babysits Autumn’s son when she’s working. He’s a former Navy Seal turned Cowboy. When Autumn’s exes parents go after her for custody of her son, Jake brings up the marriage of convenience. Will it be just that or will Jake and Autumn develop true feelings for each other? Wait til you find out! And let’s not forget the ex who we thought would never reappear. Wait til you see the stunt he pulls. In the end, I’m happy how the story ended. You are in for a surprise.
I've enjoyed every book in this series, and this book is no exception. Irwin continues to deliver engaging characters, heartfelt romance, and a story that kept me invested from beginning to end.
Jack was easily one of my favorite parts of the book. He's the kind of hero who doesn't just talk about doing the right thing, he actually steps up when it matters most. His actions showed his character time and again, making him both admirable and easy to root for. Combined with the emotional moments and strong chemistry, this was another satisfying addition to a series I've come to love.

Zee Irwin has a way of writing that draws me into the heart and soul of her characters lives, making them feel like family. This fifth book in this series brings the sweet slow-burn love journey of Jake and Autumn. I loved how Jake patiently waited for Autumn to realize that he is her safe place. Of course, little Stetson was perfection. There was tension, vulnerability, deep fears, humor, friendship, exuberant goats, sizzle, suspense, danger and realizations. But I think the feel of found family surrounding Autumn to be the most heartfelt storyline thread. I received an advanced copy of this book and this is a voluntary review. If you haven’t read this series I highly recommend.
She Autumn Be Mine (Alphas Fall Hard #5) by Zee Irwin Jake offers the only solution he can think of to Autumn : a marriage of convenience. What begins as a marriage on paper becomes something more real than playing house. Late-night feedings, stolen kisses, Sunday ranch gatherings, trips to the pumpkin patch. But when the past refuses to stay buried, Jake must prove that family isn't defined by blood or money — it's defined by the people willing to fight for you. Protective, deeply emotional, and utterly swoony. Zee Irwin does it again! Highly recommended.

Stetson Life has a way of being scary and amazing with it all happening at the same time occasionally! Jake, at the ODRR, is trying to help out a friend and yet he already has an inkling that his world has been upended. While Autumn and her son have been running from a a horrible situation the Navy Seal has taken up the protection detail in the absence of her brother. Grabbing fate by the horns and wrestling him around is right up Jake’s alley but will that protect those that he cares about? Grabbing fate the book and learn how the ODRR family rallies and takes care of their own! I can’t wait for the next installment.
